When it rained ströhmt the water from the ceiling!
drinking glasses LOT too few (90 glasses for 120 guests). Glasses 0.2 litre rinsed out only rarely.

the staff are very friendly!

90% Russians. The catch in the morning with booze and make at night then party on the balcony. We have twice the hotel's own Police hingeschickt (, because our son couldn't sleep) and it was nevertheless further noise done!

If you want a three star hotel bay, must not five star hotel expect. the hotel fulfilled all its expectations. with 50 rooms very well arranged and convenient. Prior to we had the reviews read and decided nevertheless for this hotel and repented it not at all. The very friendly staff and the general cleanliness left on small errors way there marriages.
The food was very good, none had ever any bauchprobleme and you can some 5 star hotel not say.
Who quiet and uncomplicated holiday, is right at home here. It is a small hotel, which half was occupied. From april it will be closed for renovation. I hope it is then also still so comfortable.
We took a 6 day trip with indika and saw much ... of the country and people. Indika is very recommendable, he speaks very good german and organized the whole tour, safe much better as with the tour guide. It is almost always at the beach, so not just in the guide, but only a couple of days arrive.
The audience is very mixed, germans, austrians, english, french and a few russians (but not bad).
Thus not frighten leave of the bad reviews, Sri Lanka is a developing country (with very, very dear people) and had many problems.
We felt completely comfortable and will definitely come again. read more

Super friendly and cordial and very local-also staff.
But unfortunately the hotel is very in need of a face lift-I had already read on the Internet-was but still shocked by the condition. (Mold, calcified amateurs, the bathroom mirror was rusty, bugs in the room, air conditioning moldy and dirty. etc.)
Pool pump and filter without much chlorine, glasses at the bar were partly dirty, worn and partly broken chairs, hygiene leaves a lot to be desired in general.
Children and husband were over a week in bed sick, although the hotel was there twice and doctor 160 euro has ... taken us all. After a Kinderarztbesuch on our own (with Tuk Tuk) the kids were on the next day (for a total of 30 Euro) fit again. So, hands away from the hotel lady doctor!
Staff was super helpful and also the manager was always there to help you.
Very gladly again-Sri Lanka Emarald bay: no thank you.
Food was always very tasty and varied (for each what was there) but unfortunately salads and dessert at 30 degree heat uncooled! read more

The food was varied, tasty and plentiful.
Unfortunately were some Russian guests very unfriendly and in my opinion a very anti-social behaviour of the day.

The hotel is in desperate need of a face lift, but the staff made the best of it. Very clean, helpful and friendly. The food is delicious, but not very varied. In spite of the 'equitable price' I can recommend the hotel not, as many reasons!:
. 1 very long journey, from the airport.
. 2 very bad reception!-Although this should leave the verlänge trips days (my wife for 4 days in addition) wardritten gastronomie'wurde not informed also the ', -no meal should get more!-

Hotel must be renovated. Walls in the lower floor were partly wet. Bathrooms are large, but it would be better if there were only showers available. Staff were great and beach. Every wish was fulfilled, if it possible was. We are coming again if something is made the choice. All tried. we felt German us very secure, the restaurant, at the bar or at the reception.

If you've ever been to other hotels (Mexico, Egypt, Thailand, etc.) was, is quite beautiful disappointed. For a long time aging hotel in close proximity to a main road (long-distance). Very loud in the days and noisy at night. Plaster and often ausfallender bröselndem room with air conditioning, bathroom with old clothes (delivered with holes twice), without cosmetics appropriations. Sport = zero. Poor evening entertainment in the lobby. Lobby A'propos of 30 deck lights were six failed and the other 24 dirty, (very dirty). Patio door open 'to require a little strength'.
Room service and pool stewards -friendly and ... courteous. Pool was daily cleaned, but not much what used, because the floor is laid out with construction debris. Bartenders were mostly (all 4) itself employs with it, and the drinks was waging a complete disgrace. The food getting used to. Disgusting was the habit of the waiters, the plates before the eyes of the guests on a bunch of to empty (probably to the 'long' away in the kitchen to save). 'Sitter' staff at the reception was also new to me.
Overall: bad technical condition of the hotel. Management incompetent. Alone the friendliness of the staff because, I can not write the evaluation. What me is really surprising, that the resident agencies maintained there, the the hotel recommended and perhaps to remove from the list. read more
