With new Alpenchic, but kitchen to conventional

We chose a room in the new part ' Chesa Silva' dialed, which is connected to the main building is connected to. The rooms in the new Alpenchic -look are very nicely done. Lots of wood, combined with simple, modern furniture and beautiful Substances. Very pleasant the generous storage space. The wall against the bathroom is in black Shale-look and features a small look -window on. On a mini bar well done, but you can on each floor with bottles of water setting. The balcony was pleasantly large and furnished. The spacious bathroom is clever with glass walls for the ... separation of toilet and rain shower designed. A raumbreite Granitabdeckung offers many shelf space.
The main building is rather traditional décor, has but also its advantages, since this a more beautiful view of the village and more sun (sun ) offers. The hotel is located in a very quiet area above the village Arosa. This is a steep way in 5 to 7 minutes easy to reach, back it takes a bit longer.
A big plus of the hotel is the wellness area. Very bright, the saunas spacious, with a beautiful resting room with view into the mountains. Tea, spring water and apples are available. The indoor pool was during our presence mostly from children occupied, with a corresponding noise level.
The guests get a table in one of the two rooms of the restaurant ( Thomas Mann and Zauberberg) allocated. Both rooms are very beautifully designed, with view into the mountains. The breakfast buffet is nice presented. Offers are everything your heart desires. Specially to point out the many dark bread and the Sunday the homemade large Butterzopf. Butter, jams and honey are openly on plates, respectively in beautiful Keramiktöpfen to Selberschöpfen offered. The cheese board is well selected. There is also a Rüebli press available who its juice fresh drink. The dinner presented as 5-course menu, whereby unfortunately merely only a Wahlvariante for vegetarians in the main course offered. The food is good, the meals, but rather traditional. You would be something more confidence and creativity be. The wine list is well stocked, the prices but to high. So start the prices for a bottle of in CHF 59, scale soutenant above open. Accordingly reserved is the consumption of the guests, also at the bar. The waiters is young, noticeable friendly and attentive. Staff from the Switzerland you will find only at the front desk. Very present is the longstanding director, the open to the guests happens and hotel in hand.
In short: a pleasant, rather traditional house with lots of space, a beautiful wellness area and contemporary comfort. In the summer thanks to the Arosa card and Gratisbergbahnen a good starting point for excursions. read more

Pleasant hotel in the classic style

The rooms in the new building are very nice, with a lot of wood and rock and beautiful Wooden floors. The bathroom had a eingreat design, is however not so convenient as the shower without door and thus much spraying danger is; from the hotel was very good and nice shelf space. The deduction is not working well and is rather pointless, a under the sink mounted speakers in the bathroom too loud and neither suspend or silent bodies. There is also a night light in the bathroom was quite bright and lit by a window into the room also ... the bedroom as there are no blinds or other Cover for this window returns. No mini bar, however free water and apples on the floor, as well as a few vending machines ( soft drink Rifle 5-). Free Wi-Fi only in the lounge! Half board consists of 4 courses and salad buffet, and the food was amazing. Whereas presented the breakfast buffet quite 08,15, the orange juice was watery and tasteless. At the large windows in the main restaurant it constantly.
Bright clean wellness area, various saunas, but all textile-free ( apart from few times for only women or only men). Pool is nice but seemed a bit sterile.
All together a pleasant hotel just in the classic style. The kleinkindergeschrei in the restaurant but quite disturbed, and since the families apparently not in a special part be set, had it in several parts of the restaurant children. read more

the hotel lies directly at the ski slope. Features a large ski room with all that you need. The hotel itself features large lobby with a bar. Comfortable armchairs and beautiful a large restaurant for breakfast / dinner. The cleanliness is largely written. The breakfast itself is a force! You could very long sit and feast! What is also very great is, are the Getränkeinseln on each floor. Everyone can get yourself with apples and with mineral water supply. read more

the hotel lies about 5-10 minutes walk distant on the town center Arosa. About 75 meters are uphill on the way back to manage.
Pros: the Schihpiste is direct before the hotel door, the newly remodeled wing is very nice, complimentary pick-up service from the train station, front desk very competent and friendly. Food in the restaurant very good, breakfast buffet oK, but from the choice was not great. Hotel bar Pianist, as well as the 75-year-old page are one-time. Some staff in the service area are immaculate (Luke us Saskia).
negative: reduced service Speed in the restaurant and at ... the bar leads sometimes to a little longer waiting times (there is no overview). The responsible chef de restaurant seemed too young for the activity, inexperienced, Händling of tourist partly bad. He lacks both leadership as well as the proper attitude for job (forced smile the service). read more

at short notice we asked a night at the waldhotel national and could a wonderful, modern room (junior suite in the new building) are. The attention and the service the complete staff and the director, Mr volt, was extraordinary. Here one noticed, that you no choice room number was, but that the principle of ' the guest is king' not only hollow words. This principle will be here experienced! Also the sauna area after a beautiful skiing convinced. And the food we need nothing more to say except: excellent!
it was our first more spontaneous stay, but we will be ... back! read more

for the umpteenth time we have felt very comfortable. Mr & Mrs people and the whole team are very welcoming, always concerned about the well being of the guests interested, very friendly and helpful-We just felt immediately welcome. The food is good, breakfast versatile (only the eggs 'cook ' should make a class, that is rather amateurish fried eggs-preparation) and tasty. The hotel is quiet, the bar pleasant with professional bartenders. Overall, the staff and the new room the sign of the hotel. read more

All that glitters is not gold. The room was a little shabby, the bathroom also, but for a night okay. The bar is good, but the prices were also. The breakfast buffet is wide, but the details make it from: scrambled eggs were cold, almost no more bread available, you had to ask. Parking in front of the hotel was completely chaotic, there was no one on site, the managte. All in all, the price is way too high. read more
