The hotel is great. It is located directly on the North terrace tilt opposite of the main station and Casino. The room was beautiful, but we must nevertheless somewhat angled over the corridor walk until one arrives there. The breakfast was outstanding for Australian proportions, but would be no 25 Au$worth, the reduced price of 15 Au$you could still allow. The scrambled eggs tasted bland and consistency was unfortunately not like fresh made it scrambled egg. But the fried eggs ( from both sides fried ) delicious. The bacon was unfortunately much too thickly cut. Nutella I elsewhere even bought ..., even if there are at most expensive was (4. 50 Au$per 220g ). read more

The hotel itself looks nice from the outside. Also the lobby area looks very inviting. The staff was very nice and helpful. But what we were expecting, had we not expecting. First of all we were through the vastness of the hotel led to our room. We had booked an economy room with a queen size bed. When we opened the door, we were in a slightly larger storage chamber for a 120 times with 200 centimeter bed. Probably noticed, queen size bed! The bed could have been bigger but also not be more, otherwise fit the suitcases could not ... more. The bathroom was the size of a cats garage. Since we were both very are slim, we could barely turn around. We were a bit sturdy built. We still, as it was, as a shower. Another plus is the location of the hotel. Shopping, attractions, railway station and in the immediate vicinity. A shuttle bus to the airport bus stops right in front of the hotel. But since we only stayed in the room except to sleep, it worked fine for us. But if you want to use a larger room lay down, must either a different room type or look for another hotel. read more

To be honest say, in this hotel you can book economy room and also the more expensive standard rooms, the comments of the 'review' for the economy room. The Mercure Grosvenor is traditional in Adelaide and has a very good location on the Northern edge of the CBD of Adelaide directly across from the central station. At the time of booking if you on a budget, take an economy room and have to expect, be within the building also long distances to the part over a flight of stairs to the room have to cover. If you can live, saves ... you money, because for the most is the hotel room them only for sleeping visited-Adelaide is too beautiful and too exciting, to the time to spend in the hotel rooms. Another drawback of the economy rooms are really very small bathrooms and the old air conditioning (our but it wasn't't so loud!) louder than the air conditioning was in our case a ventilation system in the courtyard, so we had a good prelude to our flight home. If you're not interested in the relatively expensive 'Mercure-breakfast' has, only 50 meters from the hotel a shopping arcade in various breakfast offerings., depending on your taste and hunger. Just a note from the front desk, who with two or more people to the airport, this cannot be done by taxi, shuttle bus is (State February 2010) it's more expensive. And a tip: in the area inside TAD you can use the tram free! read more

No service, dirty, moldy-never again archived

We arrived at our hotel around 4:00 P. M. and were given a completely soiled room with a bathroom, that was moldy, as we have never seen anywhere else. We asked to clean the room at least; what we were told, it was only after 7:00 P. M. possible. For an additional charge of 20.00 we were given to another room, in which three out of four light bulbs were broken. We were given new light bulbs in the reception on the exchange for the broken (the exchange we had to yourself) The room had a door ... to the neighborly room, which we didn't try-we would better done; as at midnight was the door neighbors used by a bloke that ran. The management said only; that the maid must have forgotten to finish. Moreover, we have a lot of Christmas party at the house, there can already happen. I can only recommend to anyone, this house to avoid. It is in no way the standard, the you know from Mercure hotels. read more

We loved this hotel from the Accor group very disappointed. Our room had a window, but was only about a 6x8 meters large vent to see. We would have been given a room in the basement, this would have been the same. What we also bothered us was the freight elevator for the hotel staff. The elevator was sadly nearby (not immediately) our room, which is why the unpleasant operating noise was out-very good. The elevator was one of the older architecture. read more
