We were with a rental car and KOH Khao visited for the first time. Only the KOH Khao Iceland beach resort had a room available, a deluxe pool villa we at the reduced price from 4500 Baht/ night got. The bungalow was large and well equipped, but a bit dark. The pool was very small and one had not really privacy, the separation of the major pool were only some bushes, so that you can feel the noise and bustle of the pool fully noticed. The bungalow seemed a little neglected, the batteries in the safe all were so that ... it didn't work, the water in the toilet raft hardly any, you had to every time several rinse. The restaurant was rather uncomfortable, the evenings the crickets tiled fish smelled bad and looked very old from, we ate in one of the nearby very good beach restaurants. The breakfast buffet was quite okay. Altogether not worth the money. read more

the hotel has probably better Times behind itself. With 3.5 stars were our expectations not very high, we were looking for a quiet, original island and a good place to stay-a quiet Island we have found. The lobby gives the, is later unfortunately fortsetzenden, impression, that it is right and cleanliness not so serious taken will. All in all mediate the complex, the rooms, the restaurant, the pools, the beach bar, so all, a shabby, run-down, impression.
there are two pools, a smaller one for all guests and a big, exclusively for the guests the eighteen pool access villas. ...
the guests share in two groups, Scandinavian families with small and larger children and couples at the end of the fifties from England, Scandinavia and Germany.
spoken thai and English, German not expected (we found that normal). read more

the hotel is definitely the pictures and was basically nice.HCLFHLIt is just a bit older, which for us of a new hotel of course was difficult.HCLFHLIt needs to be done to some repair.HCLFHLThe ' pool access Villa de rigueur and great for us, we wanted to spend three days relaxation swimming and lazy on a remote beach. that's what you get here.HCLFHLthe staff was friendly and also they must hold against definitely the management.HCLFHLThe food was miserable and dirty and full of ants buffet.HCLFHLThe bar was okay.HCLFHLIn fact, it was just okay and ... the bad food. read more

the garden is well maintainedHCLFHL. the pool bar is kept clean (staff was enough)HCLFHL. new beach chairs on the beach. convivalHCLFHLHCLFHLWe had a villa with direct pool access. Just Fantastic! Directly from the terrace in the pool. The first days were many families with child at the Villa pool. In this time it was partly very loud and lively by romping children. After a few days it got quiet and you could really relax well (read a book or sunbathe. The condition of the villa was good (only the tv radios not, well. there is even worse). Mini-bar prices are ... a joke, because it is not more expensive than in the supermarket!) similar to the prices in the restaurant. As for Thai hotels one could eat well and cheap. So you need not leave the complex for dinner (is rather which for 'super savers'). We liked the restaurant always tasted good!HCLFHLAt the beach You can take a nice stroll (at the same time the nearest hotels to see). The water quality was good. There were many jellyfish. whether these toxic?(one who had the water at the shoulder-tingle. that was it) there was no information.HCLFHLAround the garden area is a bit unfortunate. With better maintenance it could be very nice.HCLFHLBottom line: definitely pool villa and with a little luck (little children) you could relax well. read more

The area was located directly on one of the most beautiful beach sections of the island. The resort had 75 rooms with different furnishings, locations and sizes. The area seemed very well-kept whereas we have already seen more beautiful hotel gardens in Thailand. The garden was one of the reasons for my title! They didn't water it enough, didn't remove weeds enough and the garden "architect" didn't have enough fantasy.
We had booked bed and breakfast. If you book half board in Thailand it is your own fault. And now to the guest structure: There there ... were practically two „camps “. For one a very many young Swedish families usually with 2 kids and for the other usually German long time tourists from 55. You could easily immagine that the holiday immagination of both these groups could hardly be juggled together. As the area only had a very small pool and most of the loud infants had parents that weren't any quieter the beach was the only alternative. But as the funny beach chair reserving was played from 6 a.m. in the morning for one of the limited beach chairs you also had to reserve - or you had to put your towel on the hot sand. As we lived in one of the 12 bungalows with a private pool neither the kids pool nor the beach chair problem at the beach disturbed us until a very loud family with two kids moved into the neighboring bungalow who apparently don't know yet that anti-authoritarian education is bad! So also we began to reserve two beach chairs at the beach at 6 a.m. in the morning!! As there were different editions of the beach chairs (partly quite new wooden beach chairs with thick cushions, partly completely worn plastic beach chairs with worn, ugly cushions) you had to scrimmage as to get through the day without back problems. read more

I believe the hotel. outright Much needed to be done. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. We talk about a four stars hotel. In our room was surely not been dusted for two weeks. In the Spa the curtains are so mistig, in that it hurts. The hotel is trying to with a lot of friendliness. Unfortunately you can no new beach chairs on the beach are really ready to buy. The hotel is visited by many families from Sweden and Norway. The guests from Germany are indeed in the more mature age. On an island, which is ... still in its infancy, evening disco and bars until late in the night no one can expect are open. To get every bit of the walk a few meters. From the hotel to the pier is about half an hour walk, always on the beach and the hotel turn left. If someone in the Internet they get very deals. for example 14für7 days. Then stay is very nice. everything else is overpriced. The bottom line-to sleep and read very nice. read more

Shame about the KIB! I had the feeling, you get more out of the hotel and the gardens. A start would be the change of all toilet seats. They looked disgusting.HCLFHLThe staff tried hard, but we could hardly speak English. The beach is wonderful, the sea was just a disaster! Very cloudy and jellyfish contaminated. I would advise against younger couples, Kao spend your Holiday on KOH Co. The average age was 60 years. A very good alternative would be the island of KOH lanta. read more
