Use 30000 IGH points to book the last night for the vocation at Koh Samui. As IHG Platium member, the hotel almost provide no benifit. The room was just so so, and to reach bench, you need to take a baggy from reception or take 120 steps. The hotel is almost 1/3-1/4 cheaper to Conrad Koh Samui, while the view is not comparable at all to Conrad Koh Samui read hotel review

The intercontinental samui is really a beautiful hotel, great location, great view, but i would like to review some points to address, the you don't under the table, must, at least not for this price! The intercontinental samui has recently been renovated. Everything is still in good condition, but are here and there already wear to see, but in the tropics because of the strong heat and high humidity completely normal is. Public squares of the hotel are very clean. Wlan was in the entire hotel free, which although it is very nice, but it is also terribly how many ... people the whole day before their laptops, smartphone and trays to spend. The views are so lovely. From the guest structure everything was represented, but mostly (i would say at least 60%) asian. During our stay was the average age near around 30 to 40. Which we personally noticed, that there are many parents with their much too spoiled kids spend a vacation, you simply does not have in the grasp. Probably had the nanny stay at home and mum and dad were simply overtaxed. Otherwise i can not explain, that you as a parent does not intervene, if the skin with squirt guns of the pool on the people shoots, as with their laptops and smartphones are.     Our room 305 was big enough. It was everything available, that you need and some, what you don't need ☺ Two negatives, i would have: 1. the table on the balcony was already quite full of holes. As above already written in the climatic conditions difficult everything to maintain, but perhaps you should from wood and other materials are. 2. the cleanliness in the bathroom is sometimes to be desired. Dirty while it is not, but the choice was the tiles in the bath a handle to the toilet! They are so difficult to clean/hold, since they could pflegeleichtere tiles should select. That should be with the next renovation they be taken into consideration. Otherwise, this is room very nice, very big. It is sufficient reservoir for the clothes was available too. A huge flat screen tv, big comfortable bed and a couch complete the whole. The air conditioning is very quiet and is not directly on the bed, which really is perfect.

    Well, the gastronomy: difficult. For breakfast there was buffet and there were really fulfilled all expectations. The only thing which us a bit was missing, was cheese. There was camembert and ziegenfrischkäse, but cheese slices they had never. The is however really the only thing which we missed, apart from that, everything was in abundance. In this hotel there are two restaurants (amber and flames), both prices are the same. We stayed in two often eaten. If you are a big fan of thai food is available, it will be certainly happy, however, if not, it looks bad. There is on the menu 'westliche' dishes, however, we found mostly not so good. But that is pure a matter of taste. 3-4 dishes were very good and we often eaten. One had to say, that the card was very well arranged (which first really good and we very much welcome), but not so great is, if you have half the dishes or, because you not react, not eat or anything. Then remains of course not much desired. And in the two weeks the menus in both restaurants not be revised. There were two weeks always the same dishes. We found that a bit boring and unimaginative. A little variation would have been good. We were but also some times outward to eat. Once in the i-talay (i hope it is spelled correctly ) about 400 meters away from the hotel. As it was ok, very typical of the country evenly. But there is everything at least half cheaper. So if you want the food change a little bit like, would like to go. Which we appreciated a lot, is the the intercontinental adjacent hotel with restaurant (restaurant l'ananas). We were there many a time and were never disappointed. You sit very nice, directly at the beach, only 5 meters away from the water and overlooking the gulf of Thailand. There one has a great selection of grilled seafood. Really very recommendable. The selection is much better than at the hotel's flames and amber. And cheaper there!

    For the waiters we were partly very dissapointed, because it is very different. Many of the staff are very pleasant, friendly and tried hard, but there are also a few exceptions. Often only working, if someone in black (there is probably someone with higher rank) on the way is. Then are all on the way and make their work. Is nobody there, then also times around and chat. The foreign language skills are also very different. Many can only a couple words english, spoke really good english. With german one comes not far. What we found was a good thing is, that you always free water by the pool got. Constantly is someone walked around and the glasses refilled. As a service the last three days our stay wasn't there anymore, it has noticeably deteriorated. Then was only after asking water and refilled. There must still be improved. But we really got excited for, was the general manager (gm) and 'mate' or whatever it was. The gm (dressed in white) and 'mate' (dressed in black) were arrogant person, that a disease is. We were in the two weeks not once which greeted. You saw it several times daily! Even if you directly at which passed is, was zero response. The nose was quite high in the air. Such a thing we still never experienced and in a star hotel only quite not. Now i must say, that we should not expect, that they are great talk to us (we did not want that also), but say hello (especially if at which passes and it seems!) Should not be hard. And if this is their staff background, it was not exemplary. From a star hotel i expect something else! Another criticism was the check in and check-out. We got a really long way behind brought us, and were finished and tired, wanted from the clothes out and showers, but we had to still 3,5 hours on our room wait, because it wasn't ready yet. That shouldn't be. You have a compromise or other offer. The same game whilst checking out: we are only in the evening left: normally at 12 o'clock check-out. We had to three times and demands, as they are now. First, we should in a different room (for 6 hours, that is nonsense), and 2000 Bhat per person pay, then we should come back later, because the room not finished yet was. After a complaint we could still in our room remain, however only until 16 o'clock. The front desk is partly very chaotic. White one didn't, what the other is doing, and what a night before was agreed. Because of this mess we unfortunately had not really something from our last day of holiday, because we 3 times at the front desk pitch had. Large excuses, or indulgence you should not expect. We have in other hotels already experienced differently.

    Kids club available, but there was never anyone. No animation. Twice weekly (di & do) is someone from the diving school and offers free diving to. In the hotel there are 7 pools, whereas you as a normal guest only 6 theoretically can use. The 'purple pool' is for the Otto-middlebrow not accessible. But you have one of the surrounding villas and the intercontinental club member. But we were only at the beach. The loungers are all great and comfortable. The beach is very beautiful, however you need bathing shoes, to into the sea to go. Have some guests seen, on the feet injured have. We are a few even snorkeling and there are really very lots of sea urchins in the sea, so you should be very careful.

    As already from other vacationers described, the hotel is built into the hillside. If you are not a beach villa has, one must put some steps back, to the beautiful beach pool and the beach to get. For putrid there is golfbuggys, but we always the stairs taken (both down, as well as later back up). The airport is approximately 40 minutes away from the hotel. Shopping and night life is at this beach section not possible, but we did not want that also. We just wanted to have our peace. Who well shoppen to go would like, for those there are a shuttle to Chaweng, several times daily.

Spending 10 days at a beach resort hotel was not something on our normal vacation agenda but we were delighted with this resort. We had seen it some 10years ago when in Koh Samui and thought when we go back this where we should stay. We were not disappointed, the service was exceptional and the facilities met all our requirements. There were a chice of beautiful pools at the beachside and in secluded parts of the cliff development. While there were not many shops in the immediate locality, there were sufficient for simple requirements and while the food was excellent ..., we wanted a change and reception were happy to recommend a few which were all good, the closest being the best and who sent a tuk tuk to collect and return you to the hotel. Some of the bedrooms are a little "tired" although everything worked well and would not detract from a beach holiday. read hotel review

The hotel was officially completely renovated, but unfortunately not our 2. bedroom villa. There was still some decrepit, living area, bathroom, balconies, etc. The house is on a hillside with beautiful views of the bay, to the beach with the buggy or over a flight of stairs. For the handicapped not really suitable, good spa, boutique was once better, Very family friendly and partly also groups. If you were looking for real peace should choose another hotel. ( four seasons for example) The beach is at high tide not available. Nice beach restaurant. Overall lovely service. The hotel has us ... however under the oriental and then under the royal Meridien management much better. Management does with complaints seriously. The renovation in the general range has also a bit the charm of the hotel will allow. read hotel review

Due to the hillside location you had a fantastic view directly on the sea and the offshore islands, truly memorable. The rooms are wonderful designed. At first we had a ' ocean-view room ', this room was already very spacious and had a beautiful bathroom. One could from the bathroom through a window into the bedroom ☺. read hotel review

    Condition is as in the entire hotel perfect, as also only recently has been completely renovated. Luckily we arrived after a week on the idea in the interconti ambasador club to enter, which amongst others a ubgrade of the room includes. But because the premier ocean view romms both recorded were, we were in a suite to move (room 211) one of 2 beautiful suites of the hotel! Life can be nice ☺. Here really nothing to be desired, quite comparable to a 60 square meter apartment. Brilliant however, was a huge jacuzzi tub behind a wall with free sea view. You can not imagine how lovely you here the sunsets can.

    Here first the best greetings to hatch the chef. It was really super nice and makes the best knoblauchspaghetti the world ☺. You get here also partly the eggs from the chef personally prepared ☺. The food is perfect, however also to Inter Conti-prices. However the value for money is perfect. It is really 5 star food and leaves nothing to be desired!

    The whole Inter Conti team is suuperfreundlich and helpful! Always the same on the ball and anticipates your every wish. We had for example a small accident at the beach and then immediately together with ' ta volt hotelmanagement' into the hospital risks have been. It was the whole time with us and everywhere 'aid'. The entire team is always there and smiled at... Whether it by the pool is, or in the fitness room or the try out the water sports! Also all speak great english. By the pool you'll every day, fresh fruit or ice cream served. Chairs are sufficiendy and constantly there is also fresh water with ice cubes.

    There is at the beach 2 catamarans the free can be hired. If one would like can one also with a guide out. We did try and is really an unforgettable experience. Especially if it's good is windy, it is the thing as the post office. You get without any problems the speed of a motorbootes ☺... But also in all peace are traummomente if you go down around the 5 islands cruist, which directly upstream beach chairs. There is no animation and that is also well sunday You can turn left from the hotel for a few Euro 5,- 15,- to the 1,5 hours a massage. Total relaxation!

    The hotel is located convenient directly at the beach. 10 steps from the beautiful beachside pool away. No fear of the many steps on the hill, you can also really cozy with golfbuggis up and down will be driven. They are also always immediately available, no matter where you want. Shopping, night life and restaurants nearby, there does not exist lots of possibilities. But for us that was truthfully just right. We had us all 2-3 days a scooter borrowed volt amsamui resort. They have all kinds of companion and super cheap (moped for 5, -day). This resort is located right next to the Inter Conti and you will directly short hinübergefahren with the golfbuggis, if you which borrow something. The reservation directly from the Inter Conti from to. The journey to Chaweng takes about 20 minutes and is really not a problem. There then there is everything what the usual tourist wishes ☺. We were always glad, when we returned to our peaceful oasis returned.

Location am hang very nice, had premier Ocean View room bottom roof, really beautiful room, approximately 40 meters over The sea. The hotel was yes renovated, so we were expecting the 5.5 stars in the airtours catalog a lot. Unfortunately all depends on still in its infancy, the service normally is friendly, but i created The impression, so the entire team, the owners took over, and the revaluation by Intercontinental still overburdened is. Partly one sees lustlosikeit, specially at the pools and at the beach. The renovation is not in all areas refolgt, so the rooms are newly painted ... and partly new interneur, the bathroom but the regentusche is only light rain. Rooms were often in the afternoon Not made yet, the turndown at 17,30 o'clock, where all in the rooms are. The main restaurant, amber, is in the open nice, but old and loud without atmosphere. The outdoor bar is Stylish. At the beach the flames new, because the beach area general was modified. The food is General ervorragend, the maps however well arranged. Which i not at all pleased was strandliegebereich, there is on the internet photos from the Le Meridien, which the hotel also 1995 built, there is great beach with umbrellas and palm trees (the photo is also On the homepage from the intercontinental and catalogs), with plenty of space. Really was cleared, A moderate pool, stone walls and expensive villas built, it was therefore a spaces for sunbeds on cramped room with about 70 loungers with sommenschirmen, not much shade up. It was a magnificent vacation in a wonderful hotel. The service is absolutely great, even if the many chinese for the food sometimes disturbed. Can simply not behavior. But the hotel can't. The view is breathtaking and it is a peaceful oasis. It is just a little far away from the action. Someone of the action, should someplace else again. For people who peace and a place for relaxing and enjoyment search, the hotel is the perfect location. read hotel review

The intercontinental baan taling ngam resort (formerly Mandarin Oriental and Le Meridien) in 2011 from the intercontinental group and completely renovated and newly designed. There is actually not lots to say, check-in and be comfortable. Just amazing. I travel a lot, always in top hotels, this ranks among the best in the world! Starting from the rooms, views from of the lobby over the gastronomy. Also the fitness center with its breathtaking sea view is great. Only the beach is not so great. However really clean, clear sea ( if not windy), but swimming is only limited possible since the ... reef was off shore. To splash around but it was fine. Maybe good to know: the restaurants in the evening are very expensive, one pays with a bottle of wine is accessible through 100 Euro for 2 people. There is a great alternative: just at the beach to the right walk and after about 5 minutes a small local restaurant with excellent Thai and international dishes (also make itself pizza). On the way there is also a small massage beach at the beach. In summary: check in and enjoy! I will definitely return! read hotel review

The interconti in baan taling ngam is breathtaking at a mountain slope on the west side of KOH Samui, as mentioned in the previous Reports mentioned. In particular front desk, restaurant-area and view of the sea-room have been very cleverly and tastefully nestled in the existing slope and offer wonderful Ausbicke on the sea and the lying off Islands. However the hotel is so for disabled and older guests, the not so good anymore on foot are unsuitable respectively at least be a huge challenge. What us less pleased: - the price level from food, drinks and in particular the ... spa was way above the average of Thai hotels comparable category. A 2-course dinner à la carte for two people beats with about 2500-3,000 Bhat ( around 60 to 75 Euro) to book. So we mostly outside of the hotel and the spa at the neighboring resorts used. Here are the possibilities but because of the secluded location very limited. - the hotel is located in a very quiet area, secluded from Hustle and bustle of the eastern coast. However it is therefore very difficult respectively relatively expensive, a transport/taxi surrounding places respectively restaurants to get. At the front desk our please to order a taxi rejected and instead on the hotel's own small bus out. For this but for Thai standards-very steep price required (drive of approximately 5 kilometer for 800 Bhat / Euro 20, -) -the beach is only during the flood suitable for swimming, since corals and rock / rock apart from that until just under the Waseroberfläche rich. If you-as we were-like in the sea swim, has only the possibility, the long, hotel's own jetty to get into the' sea to climb. Furthermore was the beach during the first days of our stay only inadequate from the during the night washed flotsam cleaned. This Existed unfortunately not only from 'natural' waste (coconuts, branches, etc.), but mostly also from garbage. Five of us we were for 6 nights in a 2 -bedroom-villa with a great view of the sea accommodated. We liked it always the breath devious! Great breakfast with outstanding fruit, a butler (Nicky), the always and constantly around us hard-working and no wishes unfulfilled left. Great free sporting activities included Tennis, Kayak, snorkeling. Highlights were the evening sundowner at the bar! Only drawback was the housekeeping in the villa. Here lots of things overlooked. And the beach was perhaps not the best. However everything else is really outstanding! Oh yes. Snakes there is also, these are but felt ... fine according to the non-toxic (no incident in the last 20 years.). I am coming again! read hotel review

Great hotel with terrific lobby and fantastic views of the Gulf of Thailand and the lying off Mainland and islands. Everything in the hotel this view-the balcony. We had a premium ocean view -room ( whose only Difference to the regular room the high ceiling is). As our air conditioning however didn't work, we had a room upgrade the suite, which was of course left no wishes unfulfilled - jacuzzi with a view of the sea, massive terrace. The breakfast buffet is very plush and the Japanese taste aligned, which very pleasant is. Only drawback about the hotel is the ... rather disappointing beach, the nothing special is nice. Otherwise the hotel lies very far away the beaten path (which of course also very can be nice). Nevertheless there is a small pleasant and reasonably priced restaurant in the immediate proximity). read hotel review

Such a great experience here. The resort is quite remote, and therefore wonderfully quiet. Here you can relax. The villa is spacious, very stylish and finely furnished and technically on the newest conditions. The view from our room was breathtaking! Very good service and very friendly staff. We have really enjoyed our stay and the hotel is our first choice in koh samui! read hotel review

As a part of our below average allowed we a stay in the renovated newly opened Intercontinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort. Via BRG and Priority Club points we had a very good Final price achieved, in other words the beachfront villa with private pool. We booked us in addition the Club Intercontinental Package in addition, the airport transfers available. Furthermore in the package massages for 2 people, cocktails in the Airbair inclusive, drinks as coffee, Teas, water, juices, etc. Throughout the resort (also restaurants and mini bar) inclusive, Butler service, as well as breakfast service in the villa and ... ironing service on arrival-or day of departure. We were already at the airport from the butler welcomed with drinks and cold towels supplies, before we by shuttle bus the resort were driven. During the drive already first impressions and music via iPad. The Resort during the check in then the wow factor. The lobby with a view towards the sea is incredibly impressive and you can not prevent it, that hold your breath and you photos power. Check in operation very quickly and easily inclusive signature drink and then transfer by buggy to villa. The villa at the beach is not as large as the rooms in the main building, the suites or mansions at the slope, but right at the waterfront, with private pool. Great furnished, large bathroom, jacuzzi and 2 showers, a sofa, large TV, iPod Docking-Station, desk and bar area. We were thrilled. As part of the Club Intercontinental there was furthermore a beach bag, fisherman's trousers, a beach towel for the women, Hautpflegeutensilien, mosquito spray and snacks from Dean & Deluca. Most impressive places are the Colbitz because of the view and the atmosphere evenings and the terraces of the panoramic view villas, including the the fun is. The spa was in temporarily in the villa 16, but now have already moved his. Spa staff very friendly, interested in, accommodating, really great. As a tip: villa 509-512 questions. The other offer not so much privacy. Breakfast all rates included, very large selection, great buffet with juices ( freshly pressed on request), Sushi, Egg dishes, Bacon, French toast, pancakes, Brötche, breads, desserts, marmelade, different honeys, yogurts, fruit and coffee, as well as Teas. Amber restaurant is for evenings something exaggerated in the price, the dishes were but very good. Flames was at the time of our stay not yet for dinner open, so we didn't use. The 7 pools offer space and refreshment for all, wherein the yellow pool to the Club Intercontinental Panoramic View Villas belongs. The best views offers the red pool. Concierge desk offers the possibility excursions to book, go very fast, pick-up, call announced, everything very well organized. Something that disturbed us, was that obvious Pre-opening, in however already regular prices. Furthermore was the communication with some staff not always easy and it ran here and there still not really around. Once the teething problems disappear this resort but very good. Platinum Ambassador and Royal Ambassador benefits you can prior to questions, especially if it is a Award Stay is. Pa: Upgrade (except for award ) Ra: there should be an upgrade (except for award ), mini bar and possibly a gift be awarded. The hotel lies on the western side of Samui at the Taling ngam Bay, approximately 30 minutes on foot drive from the airport, is currently on a pre-opening phase after a complete renovation. The beach pool Villas are ready, in the main building are still incomplete rooms and the hillside villas are still not all renovated, accordingly it had a few guests. The work was however very calmly, only from time to time a transport vehicle was to be heard. As upgrade we got a 240 meters² large villa with a sea view, 2 floors, double bedroom, 2 bathroom and ... a large living room. A coffee machine with 4 kinds of coffee, a kettle for tea, a mini bar and a wine closet were available. Water there are also everywhere free of charge. Housekeeping comes 2 times a day, everything is clean, but I don't think after the Bauerei a final cleaning was done. One must be good on foot in this hotel complex, a staircase with 280 steps leads to the sea, it is but also Golfbuggys a means of transport, especially for the price the way up. Each 4 Hangvillen have a private pool, it is but also a big pool at the beach. The large breakfast buffet with cold cuts, Thai food, sushi, bread basket, large meat and choice of fruits is in the main building. You can choose to be indoors or outside (Smoking and non-smokers area) food. Service very good and friendly as in whole of Thailand. Throughout the hotel complex it was very quiet, on the very nice sandy beach there is no annoying vendors for train, towels, Bikinis, etc. If you like staying in a pub restaurant would like to eat at the beach or on the street left is the Thai beach restaurant I- Taly. read hotel review

From the construction work we heard however hardly something or got only little of it with. the main building situated quite far above because of the mountain, the main pool and the pool villas down by the sea, you can reach the hotelshuttle bus in a few minutes. with 79 rooms and extensive distributed villas is the interconti BTN a ideal place for peace searching, since it in the immediate vicinity only a few hotels and restaurants returns. The rooms are large, tastefully decorated and clean. Only point ... of minus is the one in some areas the impression wINS, that relatively hasty ' überrenoviert ' was (paint drips etc.). the highlight is definitely the bar at the you from approximately 6:30 P. M. the charming sunset can enjoy. on same level is located the restaurant 'amber'. Here we in the morning rich breakfast serves and evenings can one really very well to evening eat. ( small please in its own thing: please, please don't let your Shorts, Hotpants, Strandkleider and flip flops for dinner in the suitcase. Thanks!) there are a small selection various Asian, as well as western dishes. Prices are OK( main course between 450 and 950 Baht). read hotel review

    Checked in we were in the wrong room. We had booked Premier ocean-view and got a ocean-view room. both rooms are wonderful and almost identical, however it has in the standard limited view of the sea, as the rooms a little to the rear and one thus the wall right/left corner of the view. We also have a few the building 'explored', and almost finished and suites other rooms. I would immediately in every room move in. our complaint the next morning was serious taken and promptly 'Edit'. Result: we spent 3 nights in actually wrong room, nothing other free/was ready to afterwards the rest of our stay at the beachfront-pool villa to spend. Life can be so great...

    the breakfast is extensive and fresh. Fruit, cheese and sausage according to desire fresh sliced. Eggs, omelets etc. are fresh and standard. Asian breakfast after wish freshly prepared will. The sushi is very delicious, the juices fresh squeezed... The bread is fresh and for Asia definitely okay... The most important thing: there is good coffee!... Also fresh... the dinner, as already described, very delicious and pricewise okay. (Cheap it elsewhere, however you need a taxi and is therefore in the same price...) after the dinner you should have a drink at the bar allow. I hope Joe, Noi and meter (the ' servus' bar team) still in its current situation and the house still long maintained.

    the staff the interconti is interconti. One sees on small Blemish way, as Arnaud and his team (hopefully) every guest the feeling the most important and only man in the house to be. Perhaps we had simply luck, as we, shortly after the off. Opening 1 February 2012, with the 'first' guests were and the building (still) was relatively empty, but I have never stayed in a hotel so well and so little in a hotel. Arnaud, the French GM leads his house very informal and attempted even always really close by on the guest. Manages the intercontinental a relaxed and yet unobtrusive elegant atmosphere create and mediate. this criticism I get no commission! ☺

    You can take hotel's own Padell -or motor-Boats a small round at the beach turn, that was it fortunately... 4 stars are only for the clear sea water the lonely, clean beach and the beautiful pools in the resort. If you are looking for action and party searches is here definitely wrong! the most beautiful and most exciting activities available punctual from 6:30 P. M. and absolutely free: the sunset!

    the hotel lies on A... Of the world.... And that is a good thing! So you get the small but dreamlike, clean, lonely beach for oneself, is not permanent the donkey riding or watches buy forced, has clear (, whether it is clean is I don't know) sea water, can wonderful walks on the beach undertake and loses after a few days the feeling for time. Vacation stop! From the airport until Taling ngam beach should one hour taxi and about 1000 baht plan. the hotel offers several times daily a free shuttle bus-service to Chaweng (who needs it) or approximately 20-minutes drive away fishing village, whose name I have just disappeared, on. If you for example a SIM card ( Wi-Fi in the hotel) or something other from the civilization need really make sense. Excursions you can apart from that on John, the concierge, book. We were solely snorkeling, but was great! The close to the hotel this, in the sky, praised, restaurant 5 Islands (or so) has probably recently the owner changed and is no longer so great his. Whether it is true only know the concierge, we didn't try it, as the prices similar to those in the hotel were. Never change a running process ☺ if a really ' the blanket on the head fallen' should, you can small walk into the nearby village undertake. Here warmth you a small Temple with a (no, not!) mummified monk with sunglasses in the glass box.
