Hotel Villas Kokkinos^{(2 stars)}

Peacefully located hotel with a fantastic view of the kaldea and santorini. I was, as a lone traveler, an apartment with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, a small bathroom (only drawback!), balcony and large terrace (kaldera sea view and chairs) given. From the double bed of the hauptschlafzimmers from through the door the kaldera to to Fira see. Below of the hotel there is a small beach and a fish-restaurant, which i did not try. The hotel lies at a steep slope. From my room, you had to various steps to the breakfast room climb. Nothing for handicapped guests! The breakfast was ... rather 'typical greek' -so sparse, but good enough for me:1 sort of sausage and cheese, bread, boiled eggs, fruit, yoghurt, cake. If the weather is nice you can on the balcony with fantastic kalderablick breakfast. The hotel is located in a quiet area and somewhat remote from the action. I recommend a rental car. You can on the island in short distance. There are only a few dirt parking maintenance of the hotel = steep paved exit! As driveway i schotterpiste to the beach taken (larger potholes). If you're not down to the hotel go, has the possibility above on the road parking. There is a view point with schotterplatz. Then one must however to the room again and the car park uphill walk. Above on the road is a bus stop. In the room there was no german tv; only 1 english, and greek channels. But that didn't bother me, since i was on the go a lot. Free internet access for guests in the breakfast room (1 computer) available. The owners and the staff the hotel are very friendly. It seems but often groups of french apnoea-divers in the hotel to descend, which prevents, the hotel to book. The ladies and gentlemen were very rude and inconsiderate. Greet impossible; respiratory in the group the rooms (meanwhile access to the room reluctant to see; also dauerhechelei ); constant use my terrace, from there over the railing on the balcony of your own room to jump. This opens the way to the door saved. The was very annoying and noisy and despite direct speech, not refrain from. Absolute peace you will find but during the tauchzeiten the group. I was grateful, only 3 nights in the hotel booked. It's a pity. read more
