The complex of the hotel is generally attractive distribution on several old houses-built in 1895- the location few minutes from the opera house is dreamlike.
At the execution was missing it but much. The whole complex is just dingy.
We had a room on the 7 floor (4 dormer window) with a view of the sky. The room is pleasant
Large, very simple furnished, very low beds, very thin blankets. Extra blankets are not
Available. The bathroom is small and worn.
The breakfast room is dirty, the staff greets you not, no matter and cheese are in thick slices
Cut. ... As it looked, the disks was not on the plate, but thrown.
In the breakfast room was not controlled, whether one houseguest is. read more

Never again so-called 'suite' book, this is a primitive apartment, that two blocks away in an old house is located. In the closet find ironing board and vacuum cleaner, the nobody needs, we lack the bedside tables. Everything so far clean, long as you are not on the closets or under the beds sees. Never again! My mom had three nights in a suite and me to death ashamed - thank god the receptionist talk with and gave us a beautiful room in the hotel. read more

We had a suite in the side building. The door was already not a suite assume, the outdated decor, this then confirmed. Furthermore i recommend a thick pajamas forward, since it in the suite despite hot radiator not very warm. Although we double bed had, was only a blanket for a bed available. The windows didn't more perfect close and when the door we could a large gap discover, where it is terribly cold moved. Room in the main building we cannot judge.
It was cleaned daily - this however only superficially.
The breakfast room was in a not very ... inviting basement. This has been achieved through a covered walkway in the open. (thick jacket on the way to the breakfast is recommended).
The breakfast buffet or the selection was okish. There was no fresh cakes and a a supermarket bought marmorkuchen the heart not beat faster. As we were in comparison to other hotels in Wien the same category more. The staff seemed anxious, however it was when entering for a 'good morning' also not.
The location of the hotel is however recommendable. The naschmarkt is in the immediate proximity and the public transport connections are also great.
In short: for a short stay because of the good location recommendable. For a longer stay i would look for another hotel. read more

The hotel is perfectly located. Around the corner the outdoor market nastchmarkt and a couple of minutes the karlsplatz and city center. I had a single room the very small but it was clean. The breakfast room is situated practically in the waiter and everything other as cozy. There was the usual breakfast with jams, sausage and cheese - nothing great. Unfortunately missing the Viennese flummery. Every day a ( supermarket) Marmorkuchen I think for a good Viennese hotel not okay. In summary, I would the hotel at people recommend close proximity to city center search. As there is no ... bar, anyway only for sleeping to the hotel go. read more

This hotel was recommended to us as bicycle travellers three star hotel from the tourist Information Center Vienna. The price was cheap erstaundlich, the offer was not our idea of three stars. The location was okay.
The bicycles had difficulty with stairs up and down in the basement between garbage and laundry are provided.
The room and bathroom was old but so la la, the size was alright after a higher category selected.
The breakfast buffet was in the basement inhospitable, Nescafe and other details clouded the morning! read more

The hotel is for a city trip absolutely recommendable, because it has a good location (a few minutes from the underground, a few meters to the tram, a few minutes 'walk to the ring and of course the Opera) and the disadvantages for medium-sized (for example, breakfast in the rather uncomfortable basement, black discolored grout-?-in the bathroom). But if you Hotel 'Carlton Opera' calls, should not be surprised, if excessive hopes be woken up. So we were also when you enter the hotel first of all very disillusioned. The front desk situation there again, because we had to leave at ... 11:00 A.M. could move to our room. read more

We booked this hotel for one night in Vienna. The hotel is very centrally located at the Naschmarkt, the city center is also within walking distance, but also public transport are to be found in the proximity.
We had a very small room, was satisfactory and the view from the window was none. We had a room with a view of a Notschacht, so the room was very dark in the early morning. The price/performance ratio with the room and the room itself was very expensive, not recommended.
via a flight of stairs or a very old elevator brings you ... to the room.
The breakfast could improve it again. The offer was very good and delicious. However, the breakfast area is in the basement, the atmosphere is a bit chilly.
Conclusion: okay for one night, but it's better to a larger room. Otherwise very old and not in a good condition. The breakfast is good. read more

View of the window into a dark backyard music of the neighbours. First sahs then you can keep the room not by after complaining at the reception the blackout was repaired. Typical european single rooms in Asia for less money you get a double room. Normal price for this shack 154 euro per night. Juendherberge the room was another year before better! read more

For a short stay in the form of a city trip to be recommended. Rooms, service, restaurant & drinks in sufficient amount and variety.
For longer-term stay should you prefer a different Hotel.
Desk, friendliness of the staff and location of the hotel is good.
Is located in the immediate Naschmarkt (highly recommended!).
Nearby the evening 'Excalibur is'. It was a little more expensive than average, but well worth it and is also highly recommended! The restaurant is designed in the style of a knight and served very good and large portions! read more

The location of the hotel is great, metro is very close and it takes you in a few minutes in the center. The hotel is a bit older, you can see that in every corner, but the rooms (we had a double room on the fifth floor) was extremely big!
For two nights and the service is perfectly adequate. I would stay at this hotel again! read more

I was now for the third time at this hotel. twice in the 'suites', the not really are, but it is to a house with homes and apartments, the hotel offers on the be. The building is on the patio with the actual hotel. I had a single room 'economy' for euro per night including breakfast and 48 what very pleasantly surprised. 'Economy' I would not describe this. I believe, it is rather to special offers, the drops the hotel, not so good when the load is. The room had all amenities and was associated with a very quiet inner ... courtyard. Only the carpet was something worn and had stains. The furniture was well maintained and in good condition. The bathroom had no mold and also. Very to mention the air conditioning, the free w-LAN and the free dining for coffee and tea. A room safe was it also.
The breakfast is adapted to the tourists 'and personal service it unfortunately also no. The location is great and the naschmarkt is also 15 minutes in one to foot am stephansplatz. I will definitely book here again on each. For the price we paid I always get more, you can actually than expected. read more

The Ampiente of the hotel is a 15 euro cheap dump it. Our room was quite small and dark (little natural light) off the floor was filled with dirt art and the shower had mold. The fresh towels very strongly of cigarettes Gestungen. The furniture is rather on the check garbage than in a three star hotel. For us this hotel had deserved more than two stars. Positive was the breakfast in this hotel, very good quality and plentiful. And the location of the hotel is great. It is central and close to Naschmarkt the sights such as the Hofburg ..., Viennese opera, Kars were in a five-minute walk away. Conclusion: if the location is more important than Hotelampiente could recommend this hotel. Would not be a bad price/performance ratio in this hotel. read more
