We were for the 2. time in the guesthouse stöcklholz and felt very comfortable. Since much bewebungsfreiraum for children there is. It's good value for money. The rooms are simple equipped, but in our opinion more than enough. The owners and the complete staff gave a lot of effort, are always friendly and helpful. The food is very tasty and in the evening, you can have a cozy a guest lounge together, as further drinks are being served. The ski area in the perimeter of 30 to 45 minutes and are very family friendly. The ski lifts in grafenau we ... could due to schneemangel not use. We are definitely coming again. read more

Also during our 2. visit we in the guesthouse stöcklholz home and comfortable. Especially it's worth mentioning that the hosts, as well as the complete staff always try, the wishes of the guests to fulfill. Gladly we spend our winter break in the guesthouse stöckelholz. As well as in the last few years we were completely contented. The food is plentiful and very tasty. Amendments during dinner weren't a problem. The staff are friendly and helpful. We already look forward to our next vacation in the bavarian forest. The guesthouse and furnishings were in a very bad condition like for instance the beds were supported by thick wooden beams in order for it not to be together is, the shower and the silicone joints moldy, the toilet was loose, the cistern was poor and water from the pipe. In general was the state of the rooms and pension very carelessly and functional. The only thing which really ok was, the breakfast was and the staff were very friendly. The fire extinguishers were 2004 the last time examined and in the corridor there were boxes with old moldy apples ... was very unpleasant smell. The pool was not very pleasant chlorine high ten, the loungers there were broken, in the sauna area were damp damage the poorly übergemalert were, the shower a total catastrophe in the large and whole everything was in a very poor condition and not recommendable. I am not picky, but such a thing i had not experienced yet, even if the property wasn't expensive. I can only say never again this pension. read more

The furnishing the guesthouse is somewhat older, however it is very clean. Much praise goes to the reingigungskaft.
The guesthouse is located a little outside of grafenau and public transportation difficult to reach. It has the advantage, that there is a peaceful location with farsightedness has. The beds could do with new mattresses, the this somewhat worn out.
The swimming pool is available free of charge and also very clean and invited for swimming. Against a small fee is a sauna, a bio sauna and an infra-red radiation usable. This offer is very recommendable.
The breakfast and the dinner is ... the only downside the guesthouse. Little variation and almost ready-and frozen foods. For a short vacation is this acceptable, for a longer stay i would only breakfast recommend and the dinner outside in a restaurant to take.
Conclusion:
The guesthouse offers a good value for money. It is very clean and for short breaks ( 3-4 nights) recommendable. read more

The rooms are clean, the baths are clean, but dated, the shower leaked. The linens, feather pillows and comforters are very old and hard, in particular the blankets are unacceptable, the down partially. Agglutinated, partly is not filling in the reference,
The breakfast is quite carelessly displayed, the half board with 8, -not expensive, but also accordingly poor. The ambience was diligent, but somehow moves just not on. So a bit more hard and attention to detail would do to the house well. The location is very nice and quiet, that's why i think it a great shame. read more

If you don't have too high expectations, this hotel is for those ideal. Very reasonably priced and with half board you get full. Food was plentiful and tasty, however little varied. The hotel was older but clean. Nice quiet location. read more

Very friendly host family.
The bathrooms could use a renovation, but otherwise everything was okay.
The pool is very chlorinated.

For us it's confirmed, winter pension Stöckelholz is always an experience. Price and value agree. For hikers and skiing is the area surrounding Grafenau in Bayerischenwald fitted the bill. Heike and mirko read more

Nice room with TV, in the room and throughout the hotel are very minor repairs were necessary. Unfortunately the Essenswochenkarte for years always the same, but the food tasted good on the whole. Our room had a elderly amenities with some small flaws as carpets, blinds and Gardinenbefestigung. We didn't like the food, especially the kids ate very little. You especially fresh fruit and vegetables was missing - this happened mostly out of a tin. Swimming in the pool the pension was for us a "once in a lifetime experience after which the skin and eyes were irritated Niesanfälle and it was. The chemicals for the bathroom were can be accessed stored in the access to the swimming pool! read more

We had a very nice 5 days here, the unfortunately too soon. The hotel and the rooms were very clean and spacious, only the bathroom was very small. We had booked half-board, breakfast from 8 -10am, dinner from 18.00-19.00 , both very tasty!!! Very fair prices for drinks. We love coming back soon!!! read more
