Great hotel directly on the Union Square. It is a room on the upper floors to take, so that the great views of San Francisco can. Breakfast very expensive, Starbucks is however nearby. The hotel is completely renovated. Service very competent and friendly. I am told by a store packages in the hotel sent. This was for a fee of $5 accepted and stored. For families with children only recommended only with restrictions, because the hotel not for kids furnished. read more

Modern hotel on Union Square

We chose the hotel because of its central location on Union Square and relatively good value for money. Unfortunately is the hotel recently refurbished, so that the lobby partially imposed is. The rooms are updated and the replacement not affected. The size our room was good enough, very modern furnished with flat screen, safe, fridge, coffee machine, clock radio, computer workstation. The bath was rather small, but also very modern. Bath with shower curtain.
Breakfast in the hotel we didn't use. Starbucks and other are in the immediate proximity. Evenings you can nearby eat - for example with lori's diner. ... The transport links with bus number 30 to the pier and fisherman's wharf is good. Chinatown is also not far. The cable car line Powell-hyde is in the immediate area.
Large shops offer in many neighboring streets.
The conciergen are very helpful and can bus connections quick and competent explain. Our transfer to the airport they quickly organized (super shuttle bus).
Unfortunately the rooms are poorly insulated and you can hear in the lower floors the noise from the street!
But otherwise recommendable! read more

Modern hotel in a central location, directly on the Union Square and a street further one comes to the 'cable car'. Beard ( subway) 3 minutes on foot in Powell-street. Travel time to the airport 30 minutes friendly staff and relatively new decor.
European standard/art, as a lot in San Francisco. read more

Hotel with 36 floors. We have without breakfast booked, since very expensive. Unfortunately there are wi-fi only subject to a charge, what very surprising for amerkianische standards is, since almost every kiosk free wi-fi offers. The hotel lobby was renovated during our visit. We have however no negative effects it felt. There was international mixed clientele. read more

Central starting point in San Francisco.
Various bus stops on foot in maximum 5 to 10 minutes to reach.
Many shops direct around the hotel.
Room in the lower floors badly soundproofed, since the old window, however room changing was absolutely no problem. read more

Small modern room, good location, priced okay

The hotel we have because of the immediate location on Union Square and the fact is selected, that it newly renovated is. The price we found it with 88 €per person and night ok. Other to us into question coming hotels at Fisherman's Wharf ( for example Argonaut) were far over 120 Euro.
The rooms are newly renovated, the lobby it is unfortunately not finished yet. The construction will take a bit longer for, meanwhile is a lot imposed.
The rooms are not especially large (no sitting area or similar), but for our needs (city break 2 days) enough. We ... had a wonderful view on the surrounding Skyscrapers. The bathroom is rather small and only with a bathtub. But also here everything was brand new and great-modern. Because of the price we have not in the hotel breakfast, but us in the opposite Starbucks respectively the walgreens -supermarket on the corner catered for. Around the Union Square are many shops and restaurants. We have 2 times with a Thai (King of Thai noodle house) eaten. The is on the backside of Macys. Authentic kitchen, very delicious, very fast and very cheap. However back to the hotel: the Concierge was very nice. I had postcards and then the hotel leaving. The good man is even out into the street run after, because I too few Porto mood sticky had. Very attentive.
Worth mentioning is still the great fitness center in the zweitobersten floor. You can just walk in and work out. The latest device with a view of magnificent view of San Fransicso. There were towels and free water, as well as newspapers to read. The lifts are very quickly, you not have to wait long.
Needed I had in San Francisco also a doctor. A the medical travelers group is in 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Maybe important/interesting for travelers with children.
We can recommend this hotel without any reservations. Should we visit to San Francisco come, but we would a hotel at the piers choose. Directly in front of the hotel drives a cable car, however this was always full and we could not pay. The bought 3- Taqes -muni passport for us not worth it. In front of the hotel also the bus line 30 (drives to the pier respectively stops directly in front of the bike rent Blazing Saddles ). read more

We were very satisfied. Cable Cars drive right around the corner. Hop on hop off bus go also from the Union Square way. In Chinatown after a few -minute walk. A complaint was immediately dealt with. The breakfast buffet is however too expensive, respectively for the price nothing special varied-we would rather disadvice. If the lobby finished construction is, surely still higher rating. read more

The Grand Hyatt is as a starting point for a visit in San Francisco almost perfect. A typical city hotel. Directly on the Union Square location is in the immediate area too many important objectives. Cable car stop right at union Square, China town 1-2 blocks away, shops in direct close to Union Square with Macy's and the cheese cake factory in the Macy's top floor.
The lobby of the hotel is rather small and relatively dark. Check in and check out were settled briskly immediately and the concierge is available to answer questions on activities with competent advice.
Rooms ... are very well equipped and very spacious. Fitness center in one of the upper floors with super for great view over San Francisco and the bay.
In short: very good hotel, location well, since lots of activities at pier 39 (Fisherman's Wharf) start one could consider there a hotel too because one then central on Touristenausgangspunkt is. read more

We stayed for four nights at the beginning our sabine USA-visit in Grand Hyatt sf and would see it as one of the most beautiful hotels on our route call. The location on Union Square is almost perfect. China town and all shoppingplaces are reachable on foot. Also bus and cable car are in the immediate vicinity. The rooms and the whole hotel -as a Hyatt to expect - very nice, high quality and clean. The view from the breakfast room on the top floor is breathtaking. The complete staff gets furthermore the best marks from us! In particular the ... evening something with the reservation in the hotel restaurant wrong. As compensation we got the food (along with table ) to the room and a strong discount on the food from the reception. All in all a very recommendable hotel! read more

We felt very good and the hotel for a five day long city break selected. The hotel's location is great, right on union Square with access to the cable car, beard (5 minutes on foot) and buses. Directly opposite a cheesecake factory with Macys with great food and many outstanding restaurants in the surrounding area.
We had initially a room on the 12th floor, but it was street construction works and the balcony door closed not correctly ( American single Glazing). After we complained about this we had were in the 29th floor moved-) the rooms of the hotel ... are newly renovated and in great condition and good facilities (free safe and fridge for their own use). We are keen on cleanliness of the room and were always very satisfied.
Altogether a great time ( definitely make: bike rides over golden gate bridge, Alcatraz - the latter on the web safer in the peak season, in May not a problem). From the location ago the hotel was great. We would rather of Fishermans wharf as hotel advise-very touristy, reminds of promenade Mallorca, little beautiful restaurants, rather noisy ). read more
