Hotel St. Georg^{(4 stars)}

We had a quiet/nice double room and had also confirmed gotten. The double room was small and functional decorated. On each side of the bed was a small closet. There were also a small table with chair, and a small couch in the room. The room also had a balcony, but with a view of a large power poles. The bathroom was new, but very small. In the room there was also a safe, the for 0,50 Euro per day hire. This is although it is only a small amount, from a 4 star hotel but i would expect, that the safe free of charge available stands. Unfortunately we had the bad luck, that the other rooms on our floor from a russian group were full, the not straight was quiet. Quiet it was-contrary to the booking confirmation-so not.

For breakfast there was a good choice of cheese, sausage, cereal, fruit, eggs, small cakes, and juices. The dinner consisted of a 4-course menu. Salad allow you from the buffet to take. Furthermore, there was also at the buffet small bite, such as stuffed ham rolls, lachsschnitten, garnished eggs, etc. For the main course, you could between 3 dishes.

Positive emphasized should be the attentive, but not intrusive service in the restaurant. The only negative was the room service. On our arrival we got a only in parts cleaned room received. After appropriate monierung a 'nachreinigung'.

The hotel has a small pool with views of the surrounding mountains. Unfortunately the pool on the ground floor and spatially separated from the sauna area, the in the basement is. The furniture in the pool area, in particular, the cushions the chairs, could do with a renewal.

The hotel is on the edge the centre of Mayrhofen, but in walking distance is. The ski bus goes few meters from the hotel away from. The nearby highway is not disturbing. The hotel is partially updated, especially the bathrooms, partly it has the charm of the 80. years. Especially highlighted the good food (we had booked half board), the pleasant and courteous service in the restaurant and the always friendly and helpful management. During our stay, there were german, british, dutch and russian guests in the hotel. The latter were unfortunately unpleasantly by their behavior on. They were loud in the dining room and also on their rooms (loud conversation about the hallway with open door, at night fuming and entertaining on the balcony). For dinner they seemed tracksuit trousers and barefoot in open shoes. With the food they began already at the buffet. For breakfast they came in the t-shirt and shorts.

The center from Mayrhofen is on foot in about 10 minutes walking distance. Mayrhofen has no downhill run, so that both in the morning, as well as in the evening at the penken-bahn with a large wartesschlange (we were usually half an hour) is to be expected.
