Far Hills Country Hotel^{(4 stars)}

We spent two nights during our trip in this lovely, a bit away from the hotel. As the name suggests, the hotel is situated in an idyllic location, a bit away from the garden route, George nearby. From here we drove our group after Knysna, wilderness and Mossel Bay. Everything was very nice coastal cities in a beautiful landscape. The hotel was very stylish installed and it had the ambience of a colonial Hotel. Our double room was, as the whole area was very clean, had a balcony with a nice view of unobstructed, hilly countryside. The room was a ... good size, with a large bed, desk, sitting area, tv, hair dryer, coffee/tea making facilities (as everywhere in South Africa) and a comfortable bathroom. The dinner was served as a menu three-course and was nicely prepared and very tasty. The breakfast was buffet style, no wishes remained open. One evening we spent in the Japanese restaurant. It is only twelve places. Sushi and wok dishes freshly prepared before the eyes of the guests-very recommendable. After that you could in the bar, at the fireplace, or a drink. The staff was in all areas competent and helpful. The pool we didn't used, since it was too cold. If you would like to undertake something, you should choose the garden route is perhaps a better hotel right in Knysna. We stayed for two days at the far hills Hotel. The hotel is not quite as new anymore but very clean and tidy. The rooms are big enough and are equipped with two huge beds. We everywhere in South Africa was a tea/coffee kettle in room available. The garden is very large and invited to linger. The pool was very clean, just cold at this time of year. The breakfast left nothing to be desired and egg dishes are freshly prepared to their requirements. A highlight was the Japanese restaurant in the hotel, show cooking and incredibly delicious! The hotel ... is a very good starting point for excursions to Oudtshorn or Mossel Bay. read more
