Staying at this "Uber" Resort Hotel on the Kaanapali Coast in Maui will evoke absolute Paradise feeling. The pool alone presents a huge lagoon landscape with bars, water slides and jungle atmosphere. The beach area may be public but during the month of february/march mating humpback whales can be spotted as far as 100m from the shore. Definitely one of the nicest resort style Hotels to stay in on Maui's West coast. read more

So what worst and expensive i have my whole life yet did not experience. We, my wife and four other friends were for 10 days from 21-01-2013 until 31-01-2013 guest in Hyatt resort and spa in lahaina. We all had booked with breakfast included. Because hawaii always so beautiful to photos as advertised, we thought, that we, if we already times there are the deluxe room with a view of the sea take. A bargain for the double room per day 340 Euro. Inclusive the delicious breakfast, as it was advertised. The room was completely normal standard and the money ..., it wasn't worth it. Then came still the delicious breakfast, where you only 15 minutes line up had over at all a place, room, after we were advised, the only the breakfast for 25,00 Euro per person and day were, however not tax (tax) and tip (tip) thus came still good 2 Dollar taxes, as well as 15-20% tip in addition daily understands! Thus cost the breakfast 25,00 Euro plus 2.07 Dollar tax and 5 Dollar tip in addition, that were then times circa 30 Euro on the day, per person. We were looking forward trotzdemim advance on the advertised good breakfast. But the shock was not long in coming. The breakfast was under all sow. A piece of sliced cheese and camembert, you in Germany not more food would, to knüppelharte rolls, the not even the toaster soft were, thus remained only the toast which enjoyable was desired. You could of course all possible eggs, or sweet fast food where the anbick already was bad. I could here a whole book write, but not once the bad words have this hotel deserved. The complex was maintained, but early at 6 o'clock you had to and a couch fight by the pool. Couch at couch, as the herrings, so they were then by the pool, if a beach chair snatched had. Against is Spain worth their weight in gold. The sandy beach (so we have not found) was a 6-7 meters broad beach, the one in any quarry pond in Germany finds completes the events from. The prices at the pool bar and in the restaurant totally overpriced and bad. A beer miserable limited cost 7 Dollar plus tax and tip, they were then times 10 Dollar for a beer. It was a plastic cup. We are still talking of the Hyatt Hotel 5 stars. Since i just a nervous breakdown from the hassle of the great holiday get, i will now stop here to write. This great holiday is not worth the money. The hotel is tidy and completely reasonable. What disturbed me most personally were the birds in the open breakfast room, the sometimes kamikaze similar on the minds flew and, of course, alone serene plates care. Otherwise was the wait at the front desk a little long, but quite friendly. As self-park if you wanted to stay longer a parking space, although this 14$ per day costs. As complaint was however immediately the amount refunded, without long discussion. Again very accomodating. read more

Because we the hotel with airtours bays and it TUI with five stars is cataloged, we expected a hotel of a high standard and planned our vacation there in a pleasant ambience to spend. Unfortunately, this directly upon arrival completely wrong. Already at the check-in we had to prove, that in our price the breakfast is included. Although we lost in voucherheft, section 'additional information to your journey', with us had and these also presented. The receptionist copied the vouchers and gave us after some back and forth believe. When we the room entered, expected us a quite ageing and ... clear run down room, particularly the bathroom was not nearly this class, the Hyatt standard, we from other hyatthotels know. The we could but just accept, even though for a hotel from the 80 years, an adjustment or modernisation should have. But we saw forced us on the next day at the front desk over the state of the room to complain. We had make-up and hair in our bed. The bed linen was very lumpy, the mattress worn out. Hair was in the sink, in floor area and in the toilet. After our complaint we were from the manager of housekeeping woman. Assured, that the room so would not give. The mattress to 2 days exchanged, the room supposedly thoroughly cleaned every day, a so-called 'deep-cleaning', and a doublechecked performed. For the inconvenience we were 75,00 US Dollar as compensation as a part of a resortkredit credited. That was nice, but the condition about the cleaning changed not. I noticed two days after the doublechecked a pen under the bedside table. I had my hands full of dirt and dust. We have this dirt the evidence photographed. Three days later were in our bed-linen a shard of glass, pubic hair and a lot of holes. So, continues. For breakfast in the restaurant Swan Court it was custom nearly daily queue. On november we had an hour wait to placed to be. Then we complained in the restaurant. We spoke with the manager of the restaurant. You promised remedy. Also we weighted on the breakfast buffet. The selection and quality corresponded not at all the, a 5 star hotel. In addition equal more. On request i got then also cold meats. On the following day a large plates lovingly prepared. Then only old bacon and salami, which after cinnamon tasted. This was not yet times on the plate nicely decorated. It was also not possible, lactose-free milk for the coffee, although in advance by the executive sous chef was promised. The waiting for the placement was further usage. We had the possibility by the pool the breakfast drives. There was a further limited breakfast selection, in anyway very poor choice of meals like in the main restaurant. In the restaurant Swan Court was for breakfast on tablecloths or place sets declined, which on publicity pictures on the homepage of the hotel definitely are available. As well as the advertising movie, where you in the room could see. Therefore the noise level was very high. By the pool we had the luck to breakfast, in the restaurant umalu, directly with loud hip hop music truly playing on. The breakfast there in the canteen style. A reastaurant is offers as already more. The fruits at two buffets was also very modest (between 3 and 4 sorts), for a banana for breakfast were 4,00 US Dollar extra charge, for 3 slices of salmon were 9,00 US Dollar due. The breakfast in restaurant's buffet was neither pleasant nor tasty. Back ordered meals were on a unpleasant kantinenwagen through the restaurant pushed together. These were not even covered. That was so surprising, as it in the restaurant of birds and pigeons swarmed. By the pool you additionally by noisy construction works on the façade bother us. Appropriate pictures the evidence we have also. To other shortcomings in the hotel, as fully with bird excrement dirty private hotel paths or seating times completely to silence. The hotel is located at Kaanapali Beach. It is three old concrete buildings. Building 1 is right next to a cemetery, so that you always before eyes has, also has a 4-lane street directly past and a large car park is under the rooms. Here is the traffic partly somewhat loud. The hotel is already clearly getting old and the status of a luxury hotel or in the Hyatt standard 'regency' not hold or has this not more. This was possibly in the 80. years still justified. When we were there, were on the exterior noisy renovation in progress, so ... that property from security locked were. Very negative was the bird droppings in the whole complex, not new, but already a bit older and partially in larger quantities was available. This disregard the hygiene in a hotel acceptable. In Germany we have this hotel complained and will be charged 20% of the price be reimbursed. If we sued would have, would definitely have achieved more, but we wanted to this horror hotel quickly forget! read more

    We had a room (#1805) in the main building and the view was with a view of the hotel entrance and sideways to the golf course. The room was spacious and had a king size bed. The bathroom was with a shower and toilet. The furnishings in the bathroom was found to be good and the lighting very dark, as well as the rest of the room decor. The door to the shower room and toilet was in every corner clearly spongy and made a bad general condition. The toiletries and towels were not filled up every day. Particularly the cleanliness was during our stay at any time available. Despite repeated complaints with the housekeeping manager led to any improvement. Also two viewings in the room, where the untenable condition the cleanliness with the manager had discussed, showed the result except a 'we are sorry' no remedy. Change was not possible. There was a deep-cleaning was promised, but that is not what happened. Although we the shortcomings of the manager explicitly shown had. The bed linen was with holes and cracks paths, makeup and glass in bed we want here, than 'normal' call. Dust and dirt was on the tables, the shelves and in the room everywhere there. A new complaint at the front desk revealed only a hotelkredit of us $75.00, but the situation not improved. Even a matratzentausch was only after 3 nights in progress, although the 1st night was promised. So what i have ever experienced, not even in the USA. The loungers are without cushions and are so closely next to each other, there has one the sardine in a tin more space. Towels were only spent, if you a bracelet has dock, that one as hyattgast marked. For the 1st rich with a view of the sea, were us -$ 30 per day extra will be charged. This' kabanas' were only simple beach chairs with cushions. Also by the pool there was bird droppings.

    The hotel is located as described above, close to a 4-laned road. Besides, the big hotel at the narrow end of the beach and is on the west side directly on a golf course. The beach is here at the hotel with rocks paths, the better approximately 300 meters the beach along a spot searches. To the next town you need a taxi or rental car. Whalers Village is of the hotel than enclave to see and offers nothing special, rather a pure tourist trap.

Had a big room with a view of the sea ( extra charge, although not cheap, nevertheless highly recommendable), only the bathroom was small and more below average standard. Dreamlike beach and recommendable (extra charge- ) Cabanas. read more

The Hyatt is a large hotel directly on the Kaanapali beach. After our stay in the Hilton on the big Island was this hotel a revelation for us. The whole hotel area is super maintained and very clean. The audience in the Hyatt is multicolored mixed. From japanese, americans, australians to the europeans everything was represented. read more

    The hotel was before not too long time reconditions. Included were large bed, sofa, small arrangement, chest of drawers, tv, desk, chair, walk-in closet. A balcony there was also. This we however not used. The rooms were cleaned daily and were always very clean. The furniture was nice and well kept. We had no reason to the complaint.

    There are several bars and restaurants, with different foods, from american on japanese to Italian every taste cover. The service and the quality of the dishes are excellent. But unfortunately somewhat expensive, which is why we also 1 sun.

    In the hotel all spoke employees excellent English. We had first a room directly on the lift. Us it was somewhat too loud. Of al we after another room asked, we did this also immediately and without grumbling receive. The room was every day to our full satisfaction cleaned.

    Which one definitely in the Hyatt should do the luau. This means drums of the pacific. Cost about 95 $per person. Is contained however a large, typical buffet and all drinks. The pool area is very nice and spacious. However you need to get a shady spot hunting. Sun screens and loungers, as well as towels are available. Wi-fi was in the room included in the price.

    The Hyatt is located as I have already mentioned directly on the Kaanapali beach. On foot or with the free trolley can be easily reached Whalers village, where you the possibility has shopping or also to eat out. For 1 $per person you can by bus after lahaina and in of the small town pleasure. To excursions something to do but we recommend a rental car, as it Maui no public transportation returns.

Outdated and partially moderately purely kept nice hotel. Open inner courtyard and swan pond mean that everywhere bird poo is - especially for breakfast very annoying - Vögelschwärme of each plate was, if one is straight to the buffet goes. The hotel is directly at the beach/ sea. The own beach is however very narrow and not so nice. A couple of minutes in the direction Whaler village to walk and you have a wonderful beach. Therefore not so bad. The swimming pool for our taste too big and crowded. Altogether spread out in this hotel in spite of the Total size however very good and you notice the you in such a large complex is. The hotel lies on a beach line with 4a 5 other hotels. Of the location the Sheraton at the end this piece certainly the ... most beautiful location and made from the outside the most beautiful impression. Especially as it is very integrated into the landscape. Until to the airport about 45 minutes drive. After Lahaina into town approximately minutes by car, taxi around 15 to 18$. To whaler's village approximately 15 to 20 minutes footpath at the beach along. Here are several shops, fast food and 3 restaurants. The restaurants in the hotel are clear overpriced. In Japengo you should in any case in advance reserve for a reasonable capacity. Small offer at Japanese food, high/ good in terms of taste, but also overpriced. Breakfast we stayed at the Sanz/ Swan Court not try, since always a much too long Queue in the morning was. The coffee shop in the lobby area offers a very good alternative to the breakfast buffet, price are OK and the service very friendly. Unfortunately informed the hotel selfconsistent hardly over the possibilities / events in the hotel, excursions eTC. On demand got but everything you need. Rooms are in good condition, balcony could be cleaned better. The swimming area is part of a separated, but open area. The bath tubs / toilet area is separate and very small. A superb view from the room on the sea. The fitness studio is located directly at the beach/ sea. Also a great view thus. Very big and with lots of devices good and new equipment. Absolute highlight the hotel is certainly the hotel area where the penguins and the flamingos are accommodated. The 5 star is the hotel certainly not for the service eTC., but rather for the offer and selection within the complex( service eTC. Would be 4 stars). Next time I would even before a comparison with the Sheraton hotel make, but it was altogether with the hotel satisfied and at a reasonable offer with a view of the sea eTC. The hotel is wonderful located directly at the beach from kaanapali. The beach at the hotel is rather narrow and the water from rocks laced. You go however a few meters further toward Wahlers village is the beach more broadly and in the sea there are no rock. The hotel itself reminded rather of a concrete block on Mallorca is however very nicely laid out. The lobby was designed openly and with tropical plants equipped. There are also parrots and penguins. Altogether everything was very beautifully and affectionately put on and well maintained. The rooms themselves are spacious, comfortably furnished ..., clean and tidy. Also the bathroom is clean and beautiful. We had a corner room and therefore two balcony. Always room there was a big TV, a iPod-Docking station and a mini bar, as well as two telephones. Also there are in the room free Wi-Fi. Which however not always 100% worked. The cover is probably not completely great. I have here some reviews read, the the rooms as run-down have described. This impression I could not confirm. In the hotel there are several bars, here is a cocktail with about 12 -14 American Dollar to book. The dinner in the hotel we didn't try them. Looked quite appealing, but was not very cheap. Also a luau (is more traditional Hawaiian evening with music, dance performance and food) was also offered. Costs so what to 80 Euro per person if I remember rightly. But we as mass processing felt and not taken into account. Also many ways to spend your free time offered. Tennis, golf (capacity right in front of the house), Jet ski, snorkeling excursion and so on In the hotel there were several shops: jewelery, Macys, souvenirs. The breakfast will take place at the Swan court instead. A small lake with swans, water falls and birds. Very quaint and beautiful for breakfast. The only downside of the hotel was, that you sometimes half hour for breakfast line up had to. The breakfast was however more delicious and plentiful. Is however can only be recommended if there included is. Apart from that it is with 28 American Dollar per person overpriced. Altogether a great hotel, the is definitely recommendable. read more

Unfortunately the rooms are catastrophic and run-down. The bathroom is way too small, the walls and floor with old wallpaper or Spannteppichen mistake. The balcony and the windows are dirty. Lift and courses to the rooms have GDR charm and are musty and unloading. The restaurants in the hotel are hopelessly overpriced. The staff are very friendly and hard-working, the outdoor areas and the beach are very well maintained and nicely. In short: outside Hui, inside yuck! read more
