The hotel has 4 floors with 104 rooms. It is supposed to be a 2 1/2 to 3 star hotel, but it is really the best. We have stayed in worse hotels slept Marriott brand. Everything was very clean and tidy. Everything was nicely decorated, you feel so comfortable. You can stay for a few days. We were 5 nights at the hotel. Price-performance ratio was just great. read more

As already mentioned, the hotel is supposed to 3 star only, it has been far better than any other 4 star hotels we have slept in. The rooms were big enough for four people certainly for several days it was a bit too small. As the hotel is only a 3 stars, the room has also no safe (valuables but you can use one at reception also include), no mini bar and no cosmetic mirror, which was important for us but not. It was spacious with two double beds, a work desk, two phones, flatscreen, electric kettle (tea and coffee could choose from) decorated. Sink and mirror and hair dryer is located in a small ante room next to the front door - certainly some seems in the first moment. But we have stayed in several American hotels. toiletries like a bar of soap and shampoo were available.

At the Fairfield is breakfast including, which for most hotels in the United States are not common. Breakfast was continental like bagels, english muffins, waffles, do-it-yourself burgers for the microwave, daily fruit (bananas, apples), yogurt, various type of cereal, boiled eggs, butter/margarine, cream cheese, tea, coffee and a and orange juice. As I said, it wasn't a large selection, but to get you ready for the day ahead perfectly adequate. Was really good. On Route 59 there is the Nanuet diner, which was actually was particularly delicious. Definitely get you right American burger.

No matter if it was at the front desk, housekeeping or but also the staff at breakfast they were all very polite and friendly. As you in the US. All were constantly good mood and always a joke on the ready. Rooms were cleaned every day, and the towels were changed daily. There was really nothing to complain about.

There is an outdoor pool. In the fitness area are only two treadmills. In the lobby there is a computer with printer set-up for free use.

The hotel is right on a busy road, but one could hardly hear the traffic, if you don't open the windows! There are also rooms to parking, they are just quieter. The hotel is located outside of New York City. With the bus you need good over an hour, but just 25 minutes by car. By car you need about 7 minutes walk from the second-largest mall in America (Palisades Mall), to the outlet (Woodbury Common) about 20 - 25 minutes to the Garden State Plaza Mall also approximately 20-25 minutes. If you wanted to go shopping next to sightseeing as well, I would definitely recommend this hotel. As a good hotel, for a small price, you will not find in NYC. Definitely you will need a car and a sat nav! Next to the hotel is located just off a large Target and TJ Maxx for example. The Newark airport is about an hour's drive.
