Hotel Pousada Praia das Ondas^{(3 stars)}

The rooms are simple and practically equipped. The wardrobe was a bit too small for 2 persons. The rooms are badly soundproofed and our fridge has sometimes very loud hummed, which we found to be somewhat disturbed. You had even silent speaking persons in the neighboring room belongs. Air conditioning was well placed and the temperature control was easy to handle.

In comparison to other we found the breakfast rather moderate and monotonous. The following it gave as well as daily: a sort of sausage( ham), a sort of cheese ( cheddar), 1-2 sorts of jams, salty butter, 2 sorts of bright, bratschweiche rolls, 2-3 Sorts fruit (2 melonensorten amongst others watermelon, papaya, mango)-no bananas, passion fruit or oranges... , 2-3 sorts of cakes as sand -, bananas- and copra expeller... , hearty pastries with tuna, ham and cheese or chicken filled, scrambled egg ( no eggs for breakfast!) , 2 sorts cereals, milk, water, choco uS 1-2 sorts of juices ( unsweetened). From the very good hygiene of the preparation of the food you could by a view of the open kitchen even convince. The further food variety and the quality we found good. It was typical of the country cooked. Definitely try you should the mocequas. The prices in the first moment really beautiful shocked. The dishes range between 2.50 - 8 Euro ( toast, omelet, spaghetti ) for one person and 25 to 30 Euro for 2 persons. A large downside is the fact that it some offered alcoholic beverages, mostly cocktails and spirits, the whole time not could be ordered, from which reason also always.

The foreign language skills were a pure disaster. Despite menu in English understood the staff almost no word of English. German not to mention. Only the owner the pousada (a dutch) spoke moderate German. The organization ran but only about the brazilian staff and not about the owner. With the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff we are in comparison to other reviews not satisfied. In the restaurant one was sometimes only after 15 minutes served. The menu was also not always brought to the table. Almost the whole staff seemed very unmotivated and annoyed despite friendliness in our opinion. Itself tip helped the not from. A other guest had from ignorance forget the day before breakfast prebooking one, as he on a trip to go wanted. It was 15 minutes before oslo breakfast start, neither rolls/ toast and jams yet drinks serves. He got no breakfast on this day( no lunch box). The front desk was only sometimes occupied and completely inflexible. Neither one could change money, still buy stamps respectively postcards receive and send. In addition you had to even in the nearest town of praia do forte drive. Cleaning of the rooms took place to our satisfaction ( if you are over a few small stains on towel and bed sheets overlooked!) and as mentioned in the other reviews described.

Both pools clean and except for the weekends totally empty. The beach loungers were also hardly occupied. The sea and the beach are great. The beach is for its naturalness extremely clean. Swim in the sea due to the very high waves and currents not possible, but in the large pool. Baden in the sea but possible, if you waves loves (were every day in the sea). Be careful you should but on the portuguese men of war, depending on the wind and current times more or not at all at the beach washed ashore. We even got some cute turtles in the sea sighting :-). Sports and entertainment as already described.

To the issue rest and relaxation was already in the previous reviews at length. Therefore here are some characteristics, the noticeable to us are. Mostly German and at the weekend brazilian in the pousada. Many couples between and years. Three star are appropriate. There are 4 room categories, whereby the tour operator only 2! Offered (double rooms and bungalow). Furthermore, still suites ( lateral view of the sea) and suite vip ( direct view of the sea) be booked.

As described a bit remote. To the bus station it was about 20 minutes walk, to the next supermarket it was about 30 minutes walk. Entertainment possibilities are in the immediate proximity at all not available. To the beach only a few meters! The transfer time from the airport the pousada is one and a half hour. Unfortunately just the road directly in front of pousada paved. This construction it came from 06:30 A. M. a few time to disturbances, which especially the rooms on the road concerned. How long the construction still continue is uncertain (brazilian mentality :-).

We had a bungalow with a kitchen, but we didn't need it. The towels were every 2 days exchanged and the bed every 4 days. A hair dryer one should take, as well as matching plug. Otherwise you had everything you needed such as fridge, air conditioning, table with chairs and clothes line for the towels.

Breakfast and dinner were very good and there is also dishes typical of the country

The staff are very friendly but no English. For the food show for example with the finger on the menu in English. The hotel owners is a dutch who speaks German well if it issues should.

There are 2 pools the morning were cleaned. Sport activities there is only a ping-pong table, but it isn't club complex. Since we did not have notebook with had we could always from the hotel got and wi-fi in the net go, free of charge. Since we low season there were also always chairs on the beach or by the pool, in the high season the different looks.

Small hotel with 2 pools the, as the whole complex, very well maintained. We had the half board where one à la carte from about 35 courts can order, delicious. Too many are German and dutch guests and come at the weekend even brazilian.

The small complex is directly because of the kilometer-long sea where you endless walks. The next town is in approximately 1500 meters where you could get everything. The next tourist place ( praia da forte) best reached by by bus (1 Euro), there, there are then also souvenirs and a post office. Excursions we have Luis Antonio tel. 0055 71 9949 9108, lokesh@bol. Because it is a private citizen is, so we only with him were he can very well also on our wishes the cheaper price as the local organizers. We had a simple room/ bungalow. That was more than adequate. We had a tv and fridge. The bathroom is also okay. Could have been a bit modern his. But everything was always clean. A hair dryer we had however not. I don't know, whether it is in the upmarket category a hair dryer returns. That was the einzuge downside. Apart from that we were satisfied. A safe there are also.

Breakfast was also more than adequate. There was rolls, cheese, sausage ( however always the same sort). Fruit, cakes, yoghurt and so on We only noticed, that in the week the breakfast a little miserly broke down and as soon as the weekend of more people were there, was served. Evenings the food was always good. One only has to take into account, that if you want only breakfast bay, for dinner quite a lot to spend. A court for two people costs on the average around the 25 to 30 Euro. Drinks are in the proportion to Germany very cheap. There was meat and fish dishes. And pasta you could also order.

The service was always very nice and attentive. It can however hardly speak English. You can however nevertheless communicate with them somehow. Cleaning of the rooms was also very good. Every two days the towels ausgerauscht.

There are two pools. One is directly with view of the sea. Very, very nice. Then there was also a smaller pool close to the restaurant. Both pools were cleaned daily.

The pousada was very well-kept and for three stars pousada very good. There is different room/ bungalow categories. Front by the pool the larger room/ suites. Then there is still room with a kitchen and the simple. All rooms are equipped with a terrace or balcony with hammock. What a very comfortable impression gives you. The complex general is also very well maintained and it is very green. Lots of palm trees and plants. Everything was very nicely decorated. If you are lucky hatm come small pinselohräffchen for breakfast:-) the walk there simply around freely and try couple bananas the dustbin. It was really great.

The location is unfortunately no that great, if you evenings somewhat undertake I would like. However for 'peace searching' the hotel is great. Around does not exist many. The next supermarket is 2 kilometer away. Which of course is feasible. As you can drinks and groceries. The place itself is not touristy. The next town where you can stroll is praia do forte. Is 5 kilometer away. It is very nice for going out to eat and strolling. However very layed out. One reaches the place with small buses, for about 1 euros per person, per way is charged. The bußhaltestelle is on the main street directly at the pedestrian underpass. So about kilometers away from the hotel. Taxi is very expensive. A drive/route cost circa 16 Euro. Apart from that the hotel is directly at the beach. Very nice and leave is. You will ever meet very rarely other people. During our travels in September you could however in the sea not so good for swimming. There were many high waves was. For surfing it is however excellent. Apart from that if you the beach left down, leads as a river in the great swim. If you turn right down, one comes sometime to a reef. It is very shallow and you can also baden. Should however on the stones be careful, as this very sharp can be.

The rooms have our expectations sufficed, also, because we knew, that we not a five-star hotel had booked. The interior was as advertised and the service and the cleanliness corresponded to our conceptions.

The pousada has a, in our opinion, very nice, at the sides open restaurant. The menu is in English and portuguese and offers a comparatively wide selection of food for different expectations. The breakfast typical of the country and very good. For a longer stay you have however already also times the need other restaurants nearby to try out. The restaurant is to in any case tidy and clean. While we were there it was every morning from a small group cotton-eared marmoset visited, which always entertainment of the guests, especially the children contributed.

The staff are, despite missing foreign languages skills, always nice and friendly and tried all wishes of the guests to fulfill. The cleaning of the rooms was done in good quality, the change of towels and bedlinen was limited adequate. Laundry service can be used.

The two pools the hotel every morning, before the get up of the guests cleaned and were in a good state. Furthermore there is a reading corner with international literature and a ping pong table. Free internet access is also available. The beach from itacimirim is very beautifully cleanly and lined with palm trees as far as the eye can see. During our stay was however the waves very strong. As further leisure offers could in any case on the tour operator or pousadabesitzer tours or other actions be booked.

The pousada is a very nice and tidy gartenartige complex. It is planted with palms, mango trees and at all times flowering bushes. There are two pools surrounded from bungalows and apartments. Since our travel time not in the peak season fell, was the pousada only moderately occupied.

The complex is located directly on the miles of palm beach and you can in any case extensive walks. Around 15 to 20 distance merges into a river in the sea, what a very nice panorama offers. There is also some strandkioske where one under a umbrella kokoswasser or other drink. At the circa 5 kilometer away praia do forte there are a tourist center with shops, restaurants and other attractions. The airport is in about 1 hour reached by car. In about one and a half kilometer away itacimirim there are some restaurants and supermarkets, as well as functioning kreditkartenautomaten.
