An excellent hotel. Attention to detail from our room 314 to the public areas and gardens were all immaculate. Every single member off staff provided a very attentive and genuine service. We cant wait to go back. read hotel review

We were there at the beginning of december 1 week Hotel Royal palms beach. The hotel is really great and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately there were a lot of russians were under the guests (almost exclusively), Really very misbehaving behaved. read hotel review

The hotel and rooms are large, well maintained and very clean (not all rooms have been renovated). Wi-fi was free of charge, the guest structure was mixed, we had booked all-inclusive (recommendable - drinks prices are very high in the area), the size of the pool was just fantastic. Because of the waves and undercurrent, swimming in the sea was impossible. read hotel review

    The food is good, extensive and there is enough variation. There were two more restaurants at the resort, but they are not included in all-inclusive. The choice of all-inclusive drinks was disappointing - wine, diet drinks and some cocktails are not included (for example Piña Colada is excluded).

    The entertainment was sufficient, every evening there's live music, but no shows etc. (we didn't miss it). There were enough beach chairs, the umbrellas are scarce. Where necessary, tip the pool supervisor and it'll work. The beach was clean.

    The hotel is right on the beach. The next town, Kalutara, was quick to reach by tuk-tuk - these wait in front of the hotel (definitely negotiate). We paid 400 Rupees for a return journey. We booked the excursions through the emigrated German lady, Martina (contact: mpdesilva77@yahoo. com). The excursions could be put together individually, small groups-you couldn't get any better way to see the country. Small shops are close to the hotel, a few small restaurants in the area

In general, the hotel is really recommendable! As we didn't go during peak season, I don't think it was fully booked, though we did hear of 'room issues' from other guests. However, whether it was sold out or not, it was wonderfully quiet and you could relax really well. During our stay, a wing of the hotel was being renovated. Initially we heard virtually nothing, as the work was being done behind high walls. Towards the end, there was a little construction noise here and there, but it didn't really bother us. There were many young couples in the hotel ... (Germans, Russians, British), older couples and families with young children. At weekends, the hotel is often used by locals, who also come with younger children. The hotel is often used for wedding photography. The inclusive services were perfectly adequate. The local beer tastes good and there is a large selection of cocktails. Wine connoisseurs are catered for. This is not included in the all-inclusive, but it doesn't cost more than German restaurants. The resort itself is very well maintained and spacious and you can find a quiet spot. read hotel review

    The rooms are very spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. Each room has a balcony, from which you have at least the pool, but mostly pool and sea. Every day you got two bottles of water, which you could use for free but are refilled on the same day, so that you always had enough water in the room. The mini bar is well stocked, but has to be paid for. The bathroom was also completely sufficient in terms of size, and always very clean!

    The food was the best thing about this hotel. The breakfast was very extensive - from fruit to all kinds of sweet things - everything was there. Omelets or fried eggs were freshly prepared and tailored to you. We didn't usually bother with lunch, as you barely got hungry in the humidity. There was a good offer for this, however, and you could always find something. The dinner is served in weekly themes - however, there are always local curries and a pasta alternative. I have never eaten so well as in that fortnight! In the evening you can either sit in the Hurricane Bar or the Cabana Bar, where you can play billiards or darts.

    I can only say good things about the service. We were welcomed in a very friendly way and no matter, whether it was the gardener, the waiters, the pool boys or the entertainers were - you were always met with a smile and left with a smile. After a short time we found that we were only ever walking around smiling. This is also the reason why it's not difficult to give a decent tip. We gave our 'usual waiters' in the restaurant, for example, 200-300 rs per day, as we always had a reserved table (even if the restaurant was short on places).The foreign language skills are very good (all English, some German). I can't say anything about about the handling of complaints, either. In one evening, I had water on the walls because of the air conditioning. I told the front desk and immediately someone took care of it and the problem was resolved after dinner.

    The facilities are not huge, but if you use them all, you'll fill up your day well. After breakfast it usually starts with water aerobics (sometimes as disguised as a fat-burner-workout), and water volleyball follows. Early in the afternoon you can then play croquet or boules. Once there was a kitchen tour or a cook gave fruit-carving lessons. In the late afternoon you can then play beach volleyball with the entertainers, who were all very friendly, but not pushy. There is also a small fitness room with lots of cardio machines and free weights. We were usually there alone, always with at least one member of the activities staff. There is also a disco in the basement, but this was closed during our stay. The pool is 110 m long and circa 1-1,30 meters deep at the largest point. There is a deeper, smaller area, though, which is about 2 meters deep. The pool was always very clean and, as in the hotel description, fits well with the surrounding area. There were always enough deckchairs and umbrellas available, and if you tip the pool boys from time to time, they'll reserve them for you.

    The distance to the airport is approximately 70 kilometers, but the journey takes about 2-3 hours. We arrived at the airport during rush hour, so there was tons of traffic. It has to be said, though, that the journey to the airport is a little experience. Not only the native style of driving, but also all the things you'll see on the journey will make you forget home fast. The beach is right next to the hotel and as soon as you've got rid of the first local waiting by the hotel fence, you are right by the sea. Unfortunately we couldn't swim in the sea because of the time of year, but if you went into the water at thigh-height you'd still get soaked in the high waves and get an 'i was-in-the-sea-feeling'. Behind the hotel is a train station, but we didn't use it, as we had a two day trip with our tour operator to Kandy and a one-day trip with a local (Boni-Tours; right directly by the hotel beach-very recommended!).

We really enjoyed our stay at Royal Palms beach. A large room with a clean and well-kept bath (you must always remember that you are not in Germany!). Spacious and comfortable bed, and a functioning flat screen tv rounded it off. Staff always friendly and polite. Of course, everyone here likes to be tipped. We liked the restaurant and food and we always found something tasty. The theme nights were good, such as the Asian evening. We recommend eating on the terrace, since it is a bit loud in the room and the air conditioning was a bit too cool ... in our opinion. The pool area is very well maintained, really big and nice. Because of the time we were there you couldn't go into the sea, so we were very glad to have this beautiful pool area. You unfortunatly only get the loungers at the pool if you get up very early or tip one of the pool boys a few Rupees. We don't find this unusual as we have experienced it in other countries too. Should the hotel be fully booked it could be hard to get pool chairs, however there are still some 'in stock' that we didn't find. The only bad thing was that the train line ran right in front of the hotel. In Sri Lanka it is unfortunately normal to always beep the horn (both on the train and in the car or tuk-tuk). We got used to it after two nights and still slept really well despite this, however this should still be mentioned. It also perhaps depends on which room you have. What I found very sweet was that there are little squirrels at the hotel that you can feed and they are very cute. Sometimes a varan would hide under the couch ☺ read hotel review

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, the staff super friendly and also the cleanliness there is nothing to moan about. Sometimes there is a problem with the wi-fi in the lobby, so that you sometimes in the evening does not came purely. But also here it was decided from the front desk a laptop set up as we online the return flight check-in. So we could then just our airports on-line reservations. read hotel review

    The room was quite large and in good condition. The furniture was in dark wood, the bed was with 2.5 metres wide top. The air conditioning was partly from the staff right cool together, we have the then higher rotated or bothered at night. The minibar cost money, with 2 bottles of water per day and coffee, it was inclusive. The balcony was also very beautiful with a direct view to the pool/sea-view. The bathroom was also very spacious and the walk-in rain shower was great. Here was also always everything super clean and there is nothing to complain about.

    As we 'all-inclusive' had booked, we were always in the same 'inclusive restaurant'. But the food here was great. There were both typical local, as well as international dishes. Furthermore, there was a daily changing motto, for example ' ilatienischer evening, bar-b-que, Sri Lanka evening, mexican evening, and so on.' Here on the terrace those various dishes freshly prepared. The soup and the dessert was great. Just when the dessert we had lots of selection. Unfortunately, there was no wine for all inclusive (we knew however already from the brochure). Thus there was usually beer and soft drinks for us to eat. Unfortunately, there were also at the bars only a limited number of inclusive-drinks. That includes simple soft drinks, local beer (which tasted good), local alcoholic drinks (whisky, Gin, rum, Wodka, arrack ) and so-called cocktails. These were however only longdrinks, so Wodka-orange, Gin-tonic and so on. So unfortunately no real cocktails, including in the hotel description, certainly not free. We tipped actually always occasionally time. The restaurant more, as the really accommodating. Thus we had also every day our firmly reserved table.

    The staff was always friendly and courteous. Some almost unpleasant, if 2 times per day the towels and every 2. the bedsheets were changed. Also the staff in the restaurant was very, very friendly and it was always fun with which to keep you entertained. Most of the staff speak english, some could even some words in german. But with english one can inform oneself in any case well

    The pool is with about 100 meters really great and a good alternative if you don't can swim in the sea. Unfortunately, there was only a pool bar, a further on the other pool side would have been nice. The beach chairs were already a few days older and partly also already broken. But for beach chairs and there they are. The umbrellas are rare and fast, so that we sometimes under the trees to have put (the midday sun is too strong). The problem there many birds sit inside, so that you had to watch out which from top down ☺. Entertainment was descreet available, thus fortunately not so pushy as in other familienclubs. It has been asked, whether you Volleyball, crocket or so wanted to play, a 'no' was immediately accepted. Unfortunately the disco was closed. Apparently this is only open in peak season. We had even asked, but could one us in this respect also no detailed information. A small fitness room is also available. I myself have the 1 times in use. But very nice, with some equipment and also always a coach since, or tips.

    Of course the location is right on the beach was amazing. We could from the room/balcony right on the ocean look. The airport is a piece of way, so that we about 3 hours with the shuttle to the hotel use. However, yes just a highway being built, which also shortly after our stay opened. Then it may be faster. The distance to the city of kalutara with approximately 5 kilometer also not too far. Stores you already right near the hotel, and also otherwise are everywhere tuk-tuks, the one for little money in the city.

    As already above. There were problems with the check in. When booking we gave on, a quiet location and in the upper floor. We got 2 rooms right next to the construction site - on the ground floor right next to the pool. (a part of the hotel was under construction and was not occupied, from the outside with large green metallzaun hidden) that was the hammer. Only with much theater we then 1 room on the other side of the hotels and as the hotel was booked, we had to put 1 room next to the construction site to keep. Only with the help of the tour operator of the agency worked then the next day to move. The rooms were partly renewed. Shower in stead bath and flat screen tv. We have older room, but were ok. 2 times per day the room service for the mosquito spray to renew. In the room there was a water heater and an instant coffee, and tea. Minibar was available but not used by us. The decor was very appealing. Air conditioning, tv, balcony were available. Bathing area as i said not brand new anymore, but with all the amenities.

    There was 1 main restaurant. There were also the all-inclusive services were offered. Furthermore, there was a sushi restaurant and a small restaurant with international dishes. Evening entertainment was then opened still another bar. In the main restaurant there were changing themes (1 times indian, 1 italian and so on.) , the repeated after a week. However, the plethora of dishes so large, that the no problem should be. The quality of the meals was really great. Of course Schnitzel expected, was disappointed. All-inclusive we had not booked, but the menu looked at. She was very poor. For lunch we often a beach bar on the snacks. In principle were the prices of the drinks the european price level adjusted. Tip, for one and the same to receive table, we have not given, has also works. The breakfast buffet was very extensive and there is something for everyone. Eggs station, pancakes, waffles, cakes, local food and so forth.

    The direct location on the beach is great. Hotel area and beach are through a fence separated, no chairs on the beach. The sea is august very rough. Bathe only up to the belly button possible - caution strong undercurrents! The journey from the airport took depending on the time of day up to 3 hours. Already partly newly-manufactured highway will consistently ignored. On the beach there were several small restaurants with the possibility to book excursions. The people were very nice. Public transport stop in the immediate vicinity. In front of the hotel are constantly tuk-tuk's negotiate the price well!

There were also some room corridor newly remodeled. Otherwise the rooms were great, by the size, condition and cleanliness. It was cleaned every day even twice. The staff was very hard-working, the guests it make it as pleasant as possible. Big praise and always friendly. If there were problems, it lasted not for a long time and it has been fixed.     As already described above. There was a safe, a kettle with bags of tea and nescafé, sugar, milk and every day 2 bottles of water. To brush your teeth you can quiet the tap water take, we have done the same thing and have no disease. Only to drink, it is not suitable.

    There were 3 restaurants, the main restaurant with terrace, a chinese and japanese. We had booked all inclusive. From the buffet one can only say, 'great '. A compliment to the chef. It was so much was offered, although the hotel not fully booked (it was monsoon), you didn't know what to eat. And the dessert buffet was really great. So nice things which the chef creates has, can even a confectioner not be better. There were also different topic evenings, as mexican, italian, indian, international. There was no crowds, no noise on the buffet, really relaxing.

    So the pool was beautiful. As not so many guests were there, the pool was nice and empty and you could also swim there. The front of the hotel the pool only went up to the hip, but in the back the pool was 2 meters deep and you could swim. The entertainment was not so much, as already mentioned, there were only a few tourists there. You had plenty of chairs and umbrellas the choice, without the one pushing had. In the high season see the surely differently. Who relaxing wants a vacation, should pre-season again. It at nothing was missing, even evening top in the bar programmes shown. And before the monsoon, you should not have to worry. It rains here only about 10 minutes to half hour, then it is exactly as warm as before. The one at the time not here in the ocean swim was also no problem, one has the beautiful pool. And also the other months so we were from german locals confirmed, is in the sea was only rarely to swim.

    The hotel is located near to the beach, also the next town isn't far way. The airport is only about 45 kilometer away, but you need to some time 3-4 h to get there. The quality is a disaster, still driving, it is crazy to drive. Restaurants there was in the place, but we didn't use it. We had so much food in the hotel, we partly not managed. A compliment the chef. With the public transport links one can drive, but you should the tuk tuk rather take (negotiate the price). These small tricycles are great, you have to time on it raved about his.

In this hotel there were the rooms alright. The food was acceptable. Dessert buffet rather meager selection of fruit ok. The extra charge of half-board to all inclusive was for 44.00 euros per person. A daily wage for a local is around 3 to 15 € the selection of drinks for all inclusive for me was the worst hotel i have ever seen. About 5 different cocktails a few bars hard drinks. Only 1 time daily a fresh fruit juice (which also a melonensaft could be). Soft drinks in glasses and from the machine, drinking water, and open beer. ... All other drinks were only against a outrageous extra charge. For example: Cola Light or wine or drinks cans or bottles. The system of the hotel for me was a mess. For example to eat a waiter for an order, and then an invoice with an indication of the room number and signature. A field for the time was available. A 2. drinks was almost not available unless you have 2 ordered which only with a non-believers view was confirmed. Nobody has asked you, if you have a drink want, even if the empty glass in the level held. This unterschriftaktionen with room numbers have the whole day for every drinks repeatedly. The pool bar was only 10- until 18:00 o'clock open. The beach was never cleaned. A swimming in the sea was due to the high waves and strong currents impossible. In the catalog of meiers weltreisen was only a question of a kilometer long sandy beach. So you the vacation but not with swimming in the sea, but only with a swimming pool, spend we have only the guide book to read the we after the booking have gotten and this is not an expensive and long visit. The swimming pool was mostly only 99 centimeter deep, only a small part was 1.99 metres deep. We have a Sri Lanka round trip. This was great. As mentioned in the previous reviews say - the rooms are very spacious, however, you must not every corner, otherwise you already have a water stain on on the ground or a very clean splices were in the bathroom. But you are not at home. The hotel is outdated, will probably but at the moment piecemeal renovated. There is here and there a small construction, is however not further disturbing. The people here are in any case extremely friendly and it is already, if you from a gardener a gebastelten bird is given. The food is excellent, who finds there ... nothing, it is your own fault. The inclusive services were somewhat poor, but after you in the heat but more drink than normal-certainly useful. Children there is very little, after you almost not in the sea swim, rather useful. There were all sorts of guests there, unfortunately, our russian fellowman easily recognizably, since they usually definitely not pleasant manners, especially in the restaurant area. read hotel review

    Rooms were very big. Furniture is adequate and we had a small terrace. The air conditioning ran the whole day, at night we had them - it was very pleasant. Water and tea/coffee were free, telephone was not used. Bathroom was also ok.

    We had booked all inclusive, so we were also only in the main restaurant. The beverage selection was a bit limited, but one survives it. Who something else would like, must evenly are charged. Over a small tip happy everyone-the 100 pes. -bills should one always thereby have. (circa 150 pes. = 1€) The food was uf every case great-nicely spicy, you can take not too much to, because no large quantities of eats. For the restaurant was a daily grill-one is pleased already always.

    Friendliness - as i have already mentioned- was really a priority here. No matter wether pool boy or boy, always a smile on the lips. You got along with english very well. With us it rained into the room- we would have been change immediately-it was fixed immediately.

    Entertainment in the afternoon is extremely discreet-you get it almost not at all with! The pool is nice large, unfortunately hardly cooling! Umbrellas there are a lot of too few. But also here: right on the first day a tip, and it works with the reservation! (every day a small renovation of the same not forget!) In the sea you could almost never swim, too high waves-really a shame! Walks along the beach are possible, but in the sand it can be difficult to walk.

    From the airport to the hotel there are about 70 kilometer-which about 3 hours is. Who possibly the idea has, a rental car to take, should immediately removed-it is the plank amazing, as the people go here. Small distances are with a tuk-tuk to go, the wait in front of the hotel. (one should definitely bargain!) Trips are from the tour operator very expensive. I had already read and already in Germany a one-day tour to kandy (we were only 8 nights) on Martina & prasanna booked. (email: mpdesilva77@yahoo. com). You have us on the first day visited and the tour has worked out well. Was a bit of a hassle, but we saw a lot... So, is really recommendable - and they both speak german! To the beach it is maximum 150 metres. Can one shoppen in the hotel or outside, as you want.

In april 2013 we were in this beautiful hotel. Unfortunately we had only booked with breakfast included. The complex was perfect, friendly staff, clean rooms. We had problems with the check in. The hotel lies directly at an extensive sandy beach. Like us already before from the pictures here in 'holiday check' promised, it is a really beautiful hotel plant, despite (or because of) their age constantly maintained. The beautifully landscaped palm garden invites to relax. In comparison to the surrounding hotels, you can here on a grandiose and much sends hotel plant there. The hotel has a private store, jeweler, gym and next to the main restaurant 2 more restaurants/bars. The club has only saturday is however not very appealing. The front desk offers internet to (fee: 255 rs per 30 ... minutes / (~156 rs = 1 Euro) and there is the possibility money 'small to make'. So you got at the front desk on all questions friendly and reliable answer. The pool is fantastic nice and loads absolutely for swimming a. There the sea very turbulent is, is good. As already other guests before have described, in the hotel exist and the hotel here and there small signs of wear (jumped off tiles, macken on the furniture, loungers by the pool.), but really are negligible, as the whole hotel including the rooms very clean is. The prices for services, in the shop, drinks by the pool, fruit by the pool have and are partly really rude. We had the half board so already on the first day with fruits and drinks set, the a few metres from the hotel or in the nearby supermarket ' arpico' returns. The straight fruits and homemade juices tasted (apart from the fact, that they are very cheap) outside of the hotel much better. Our room was very spacious and the bathroom very modern. The room service was daily at least 3 times in the room, to clean, the mini bar to fill up, to change towels, the moskitostecker to change or the bed to make. If you don't want to be disturbed, should especially in the evening the sign 'do not disturb' out. The room safe was free, shampoo, shower gel and body lotion, towels and q-tips are free of charge in the bathroom available. There was our room only 2 sockets. These were also problem-free with the german standard plugs usable. The (flat-screen) tvs, only a german transmitter, the Deutsche Welle, and various indian and american spielfilmsender. The service in the whole hotel was first class and absolutely forestalling. It was virtually all of our wishes were fulfilled. It began with the door and the plate of dishes to the towels bring at the pool are. The resulting 'how are you?' And 'where are you from?' Was sometime however somewhat annoying. The friendliness had naturally also much with tips to do, the everywhere is expected and already included in the suit-case invites at the airport with hingehaltener hand is required. They give no tip and show opposite the locals very arrogant, little flexible and unfriendly. Lovely hotel with international guests, mostly russian origin. We were from the hotel very pleased, which we unfortunately from the country itself can't say. Great large pool with integrated massage jets and a pool bar. Staff at this, as well as in almost all other parts of the hotel( a few a few waiters in the restaurant) always very friendly and always tried hard. Choice of beverages in the all inclusive package rather poor as well as the evening 'shows'. The hotel is very tasteful designed as well as the rooms. Wi-fi is available in the lobby free, but also ... a hotel laptop is for the guests available. Furthermore seems the hotel also popular with locals too there are several times the week weddings orientated or is the hotel as photography opportunities the happy couples used. The train behind the hotel you can hear it, it didn't bother us but not. What unfortunately a pity is, into the sea you really can only conditionally as the current and the waves are not underestimate. Die'chipmunks' in the trees at the beach were unbelievably cute to look at. To be recommended, even if you as we had all-inclusive, a visit to the sun dance restaurant about 800 meters away from the hotel. Freshly caught seafood with delicious side dishes at very reasonable prices. The owners very happy to get about every guest. Otherwise do not on discussions of the locals on the street admit, the only want one-money. Very annoying and extremely rude in what way these try is. Very nice hotel! Undeniably a bit old, but still everything clean and tidy. We were very warmly welcomed. There was a damp towel and a soft drink to welcome. From the guest structure there were mainly british and german 35 years and no children there. The lobby of the hotel was the free internet access. There was a very nice, large pool area, directly to the beach bordered (by a small fence separated). Behind the fence waiting the pushy locals, in order to sell their goods. The beach was unfortunately only the pictures nice! The sand was very coarse-grained and ... not condusive to stay a while. You couldn't go swimming in the sea, there was a strong currents and high waves. Therefore the water was not clear. Furthermore, there was no chairs on the beach. read hotel review

    Staff at the reception and room service were very friendly. The staff in the bars and restaurants unfortunately not. They were slow and inattentive. Without tip ran as nothing. Very sad!

    It was a quiet hotel. There was no pushy entertainment. Evenings there were occasional shows (dances, snake charmer). The pool area was the highlight of the hotel. Very nicely arranged. Sufficiently good, stable beach chairs available, but too few umbrellas. The pool boy takes then the cushions and expected a tip.

    The transfer took about 3 hours. Fortunately i don't drive, of transport was a disaster. In front of the hotel there was a street with typical tourist shops. Also here one was from locals besieged, worse than in Turkey or Egypt. Behind the hotel was a line. We were always in the morning by the first trains woke us up. In front of the hotel also waiting tuk-tuk drivers, the a about minutes kalutara bring (driving fun). Kalutara itself is, like many other villages also, a molloch. A market, dirty, noisy, chaotic.

In the all in all a clean and tidy hotel. Only the reservation of the much too few Beach chairs with umbrella were, was the motto: if you (very) greases well, the Drives well, or a beach chair in the protected gets shade. The loungers then hours with towels, or other utensils by the pool-staff besieged, with the score, that nobody was afraid, the 'abandoned' beach chairs to use. If the management can, the weaknesses: corrupt pool staff exchange, or For sufficient umbrellas buy; or abzockende staff at the pool bar from the market, one could the hotel as small ... paradise to describe. read hotel review

After or trip, the first impression was overwhelming. Unfortunately, this did not continue. The restaurant was too strongly air-conditioned. The drink selection as an all-inclusive guest was completely inadequate. If the win is not included with the meals, well, but no diet cola and a very limited cocktail selection is not okay. A beautiful atmosphere is not enough in our opinion to be excited by a hotel. The invitation to the Valentine's dinner as compensation for the construction noise and the quick calling of a doctor speak for the hotel. read hotel review

The area is wonderful (or is being renovated, is however absolutely not disturbing). Already in the lobby with the reception one begins to feel comfortable, as everything was really clean and tidy is. Guest structure consisted of different nationalities and age groups. read hotel review

    The rooms are huge and clean. Equipped with a large double bed, a small couch with couchtischchen, a large dresser and a built-in closet with a safe. Air conditioning centrally controlled, but individually adjustable. The bathroom huge with rainfall shower - super. Every room has a sufficient balcony with a table and two comfortable chairs. Rooms 1 time cleaned thoroughly every day and in the evening once again asked, whether handtüchler or soap, lotion or shampoo is required. Mosquito killer (plug) available-checked daily and replaced.

    As i have already mentioned, we had all inclusive and the dishes were all absolutely very good. Starting at buffet breakfast over the lunch to the dinner buffet everything was always fresh and was always immediately refilled, if something was. There was also always fresh fruits - very delicious ☺ Also the freshly squeezed fruit juices are great. We have our meals always on the terrace in the dining room much, because in the restaurant it was because of the air conditioning to cool. Service and cleanliness perfectly.

    The staff's hospitality is definitely positive. So helpful and nice staff is really rare. My husband had on the previous trip a darmvirus and has a doctor needs. Was from the reception immediately informed and in 15 minutes. He had for 2 days the bed guard and the service of the staff great. There was tea, soup and so on. Without something to order to the room served. Super!

    Animation was we didn't use it - but offered daily, however not intrusive. Chairs were sufficiently available and the pool boys one was with towels and beach chair mattresses taken care of. Pool very big and clean-was not used by us. We preferred the sea.

    Hotel lies directly at the beach - however from the beach through a fence separated - is however further not disturbing. Location of the hotel somewhat remote, but nearby is a small shopping street with some local more than reachable on foot. In kalutara with a tuk-tuk (very cheap ) about minutes. The transfer to the fllughafen about 1,5 hours.
