Pleasant and cozy hotel, a bit in the years, however clean and tidy. Excellent location, fantastic pool. Ski cellar nothing for klaustrophobiker! The dishes were exceptionally delicious. The plates are individually decorated with love to... An absolute delight for the taste buds and for the eyes. We look forward to next year and will definitely repeat stay. read more

Great winter sports hotel in a central location. We enjoyed the ski holiday in the Sun Star Hotel wengen very much. Very spacious room with very good furnishing and a lot of loving details. Paramount and competent service! Excellent food and a varied giant breakfast. Very family friendly. Mini bar in the room price inclusive, which the household budget with two teenage kids clearly relieved. Pleasant international clientele, sporty casual, many families. Perfect location in wengen, as it just a few meters the gondola to the ski area are. After the downhill run you approximately 30 meters up to the ... ski basement. Family kienzler it creates really a great quality stay so far in other ski hotels so not experienced. read more

The rooms / bath was very clean. The bathroom is however relatively small, sufficed however in a a room for one person. Because the hotel on a tourismusmagnet is, the gestekultur rather international. The price-performance is okay in my opinion good. read more

    The rooms should maybe a face-face lift the distributor as you the hotel the age a little anmekrt. Nevertheless, are the rooms very clean. The size of the room is ok. However it should (especially in the winter) a little more shelf space have.

    The menu with a half board is good (-course menu) and the portions are in my opinion big enough. Also the choice of three different main courses is more than enough. The kitchen is swiss to international.

For families really good price-performance -proportion. Almost all staff we were very good pampered. The front desk the guest begeisternder received, the first impression counts! For a four-star hotel should the kitchen still a bit add, we have basically very good food ( exception: one time poor quality of meat or tough and food according to program. We basically felt really good and can the building recommend. Very good location to funicular railways. read more

The Hotelehepaar Kienzler tried personally for the well being of the guests, it is with the Willkommensapéro, the Gratisinhalt the mini bar in the room or the personal conduct of a smaller hike in the wonderful Jungfrau mountain range. Very tasteful, room, comfortable atmosphere and exquisite meal times in the refined ambience. We felt very much at ease and will gladly come again! read more

We would gladly come again... Great hotel! Very friendly, accommodating and flexible! Clean and beautiful rooms and we had a really beautiful big balcony with a great view! Very good food, great breakfast buffet and the mini bar ( included) daily with drinks refilled! This hotel shows, how nice holidays in Switzerland are... We have been coming here for almost 40 years regularly to wengen, winter or summer, just, because there is so beautiful, and they usually in the sun star (formerly Metropolis) stayed in. After a day hiking or skiing is available the swimming pool ( and sauna, massage) a big plus. The reception and service is always professional and very friendly and the food very good. Perhaps the restaurant be updated? read more

Very nice and spacious room, the hotel has a comfortable ambience, and is centrally located and nevertheless without noise as the rooms with great window renovated. Value for money is very good. During the next stay in wengen the hotel I would definitely book it again. read more

The hotel is fairly close to the train station Wengen. Very friendly staff. Delicious kitchen. Single room with a balcony was large enough. Swimming pool with a view of the opposite mountains. Beautiful bar. Was not the last times in the sun star wengen. read more

This is about the eighth time we have stayed at this hotel and we cannot speak highly enough of the staff, facilities and location - the only thing we can't predict is the weather. The staff are friendly, knowledgable about the local area and nothing is too much trouble for them. The location is perfect for the train station and cable cars - and the traffic free environment of the village is perfect for a relaxed stay. Walking around the local area is strenuous (it is the Alps, after all) but delighful and all the walks are well marked and ... accessible even for those of us who are getting older. The food at the hotel is of a really good quality and "non-menu" options are always available. We look forward to returning soon. And while we tend to visit in the summer for the walking etc, we have stayed here in the winter and the holiday was just as good. read more

Great hotel! Very friendly, accommodating and flexible! Clean and beautiful rooms and we had a really beautiful big balcony with a great view! Very good food, great breakfast buffet and the mini bar ( included) daily with drinks refilled! This hotel shows, how nice holidays in Switzerland are... And that you're not abroad must, in order to beautiful good hotels with friendly staff to find! read more
