The hotel was perfectly well...

the hotel area (with about 500 rooms) is really big and there was everything you need to feel comfortable. We had all inclusive and the food was at any time everything was there. Apart from that there were almost only locals since. That made the vacation also much more interesting. read more

Isla Caribe and the Pueblo Caribe are almost assembled. Isla Caribe is the newer of the hotel area. The rooms are but as it kept clean, with mold, the air conditioning total dirty, it is for this reason that we also work properly. Hotel is in general a little run down (pool bar is empty & check access from the beach, only separated from the street). The beach in Playa El tirano the hotel and is recommended not really, of seaweed in the sea (sometimes; for about nine out of 14 days); the beach was cleaned every morning by the washed ashore seaweed, but was never clean. Conclusion excursions: we booked any excursions with our travel guide (Neckermann). Trip price overpriced. Nice hotel with lousy service and always the same food. For example I had nine days no hot water, even though I had complained about 2-3x daily. The worst vacation of our lives! Absolutely not to be recommended! Stay away!

We had a great and very relaxing vacation here.
Our room was always clean and there were fresh towels every day.
There were no entertainers penetrating at the pool and beach and 'all inclusive' means really all inclusive: all drinks and food are available in all the bars and restaurants!
For shopping you can very cheap by taxi to porlamar or restaurants in Playa El Aqua visit. The drivers are all agreed date back to place, if they are not even there.
Most people speak only Spanish, a few English. We are always open and helpful been dealt with.
Tours ... are offered by the tour operators, for example, Jeep Safari, boat trip to coche or Cubaqua, but there is also a German offerer (Caribbean island tours)-you should compare the prices in any case.
All in all, you shouldn't forget, that Venezuela is a very poor country. However, we felt very comfortable here and were thrilled by the friendliness of the people here. read more

Never again over there! Have stayed more often in the Caribbean, but what we experienced was absolutely miserable. You can't go out of the hotel complex, just dangerous. The beach was attacked and it was shot there. On foot you could go nowhere and with the taxi it was too dangerous, are attacked and robbed. The food in the hotel is like a nursing home. Very clean hotel with nice large rooms, always kept clean.
