The anantara is a 5a 6-storey hotel in resortcharakter that in the middle of Bangkok on the river. There are a variety of room types-we had the deluxe premier riverfrontzimmer on the 5. floor. From here you could enjoy a wonderful view on the rising sun, the river and the skyline of Bangkok.
From the hotel start at 7.30 the own free ferries from sathorn pier and asiatique shopping (there until 0:00). The whole hotel is spacious luxuriously designed with lots of green, big pool with wooden sun loungers, large breakfast area (inside and outside) of which inside ... pleasantly air conditioned, pool bar/restaurant, the italians' brio ', the elephant bar, café' numero uno ' with great treats-also real panforte from tuscany and aneren restaurants we unfortunately in our 5-day stay not managed. Wifi is everywhere and good-for half an hour free during the day and then 160 Bhat the hour with the time ever cheaper weight. Also a bussinessroom with a computer/printer and so on. Is available. In this hotel i think every nationality there - while we were there, there were hardly any children in the hotel.
Unfortunately i must for this hotel say, i would gladly two nights we could have stayed longer in some of the spa treatments to be able to enjoy, or the dinner cruise on the river to. Or already alone because of the good food.
For me is sure - if again Bangkok, then again in anantara read more

We have in the last few years regularly our thailand holiday with a stay in-at that time still - Marriott stopped us always felt very comfortable. This time unfortunately only conditionally. The booked premier junior suite was as expected very tasteful newly renovated with a beautiful bathroom. The service in the club lounge, the only guests this category can be used, also first class. Unfortunately is however the swimming pool this a stark contrast. Since the anantara obviously children to 11 years without supplement accommodates, were very many families with children to find. Accordingly it is run, fully and cramped. ... The loungers are partly in dreiherreihen close at close and one does not have peace. One must this already before breakfast reserve, to even to get a seat. When we on one day at the rear of a supposedly quiet spot had, were an hour later beside us the pool boy still two further loungers dazwischengequetscht, what a four-person family placed, without that we asked, whether the law. In my opinion, there is in such a hotel not at all. It also cannot with beautiful rooms or the still very good breakfast be settled. Mass tourism you get cheaper.
It was unfortunately our last stay at the anantara Bangkok. read more

Nice hotel on the river. Hotel offers a boat -shuttle bus to the other bank, from where you can everywhere with the public transport links go anywhere. A tip :' riverfront ' rooms are the price not worth it, they are loud, the problem should be 'river view' does not exist.
Service at the front desk and pool bar is slow and not good, the largest problem this hotel. read more

Stay in this complex in our experience altogether suits well. Because we from the morning until the evening in Bangkok on the way were, we have the beautiful tropical garden and the swimming pool unfortunately not at all used.
Breakfast was really of the finest quality, actually it was already inclusive warm lunch. But since we already at 7 o'clock our excursions have started, we could also the unfortunately not thoroughly enjoy.
Our room belonged to the renovated and had small faults (clogged washbasin, worn bath tub and mold, as well as a loud air conditioning). However therefor it was ... also cheaper than the refurbished room.
Since we 5 nights booked, we got a dinner in buffet form on the terrace given. Other tourist, the only 4 nights booked, had to for this experience per person 50 Euro shell out (mind you without drinks!). The food was really good, however 100 Euro for 2 people we would have not spent. A small point of criticism must be: the overpriced beer had a temperature of approximately over 20 degrees.
The free trips with the hotel's own boat were especially evenings always a pleasure. read more

We were for the first time in Bangkok and also the first time in Thailand, that's why i to the recommendation our travel agent and the hotelbewerter leave when booking. We didn't get disappointed, the reception was very professional, the booked room with the river view newly renovated with marble bathrooms, fresh fruit in shell, real flowers to decoration, perfumed shower gels and shampoos, bottles of water for free use, a wohlgefühlte mini bar, coffee and tea included kettle. In the bathroom are however already the first feuchtigkeitsspuren to see, on the balcony was only on demand two chairs. Breakfast ... is spectacular, there was nothing, which does not exist or the on demand concerned is! The location on the river with the park-like appearance is great, we didn't use the pool, the transfer to the stop the skytrain is regularly free of charge instead of. read more

We were at the end of december up to the new year at the riverside resort. On arrival (with the hotel's own shuttle bus-boat), we are extremely nicely received, as us for example the managerin us right to the check in accompanied.
The hotel is absolutely, after a long flight from Germany relaxed in Bangkok to a stressful day in trübseligen Bangkok for example by the pool to an end.
The breakfast buffet was huge with a very wide choice, both 'continental breakfast' regards, about croissants, cakes and delicious bread to fresh fruit, juices and asian dishes. Had always morning ... on, that extremely many families with children in the hotel were, all very satisfied rails.
What impressed me most, was however the helpfulness of the staff. We had to unfortunately because of a fate in of the family our thailand prematurely abort. The staff has tried to us each desire was satisfactory, the airlines contacted, the other booked hotels, and so on and on new year's eve.
I can only say, that i the hotel in very good memory, in spite of the unhappy farewell, have. If we the thailand will do that, we will in any case the vacation stay at the riverside start. read more

As again in Bangkok, we were looking for the of course the us famous Marriott riverside resort & spa.
Now it belongs to the anantara group. Unfortunately!
The hotel owns still atmosphere, great flair and for bangkok's hotel probably unique tropical garden with a nice pool Areal. Here you can very good, small touches such as ice cream, the free by the pool are served, are a nice touch. Also the location on the river is great and the 15 one-minute drive with the free boat shuttle to or from central pier gives time, the city 'preparing' or the hustle ... and bustle of this behind.
We stayed in a renovated room, this was unfortunately not with the a 5 star hotel expected care in our room running. The shower has constantly leaking, the tiles around the drain were poorly finished and there the shower door not really sealed or adjusted was, is plenty of water in the bathroom and the floor dangerously slippery made. The food selection at breakfast was under Marriott management better, but it was still very good. In the breakfast outdoor area there was a small 'pigeons plage'.
Nevertheless, we would this hotel for a relaxed Bangkok stay in a beautiful green setting recommend and stay there again. read more

Directly on the chao phraya river location. The hotel is in a tropical area built on several buildings. Everything is well designed and well maintained. There is the hotel 11 different restaurants and bars. So it should something for every taste be available.
Shuttle boats to saphan taksin skytrain station every half hour and are around 5 to 10 minutes there.
Room was well equipped (deluxe premier room). Bathroom with a shower and bathtub. Twin or king bed available. Cleaning staff was very concerned and in the afternoon 2. round rotated to ask, if there is something missing. Flatsreen tv ... and a dvd player available.
Breakfast very varied, there is even a sushi! Dining room available, you can but also on the terrace with a view of the river breakfast.
Pool area was kept clean. The pool is big enough for swimming, chairs are abundant.
Staff in the whole complex consistently friendly and helpful.
We had nothing to fault! read more

It is a dreamy hotel, which does not have any wishes open-central and nevertheless a peaceful oasis and verwöhnens.
Evenings after a day in the town on the river and take a break from everyday life, in the morning before one visits a few hours by the pool spend and the sensational kitchen the anantara enjoy... We will definitely come back! read more

Our room (junior suite) was already getting old. We had a partial river view with a small balcony in the 5. hallway. The installed air conditioners were at night very loud. The room seemed very dark.
The room was cleaned well. Pleasant we found the executive lounge where the session snacks was not to our taste (asian).

A sradthotel, located directly on the river is. This is here again and again a bit more air and wind, than in the satdthotels. Condition and cleanliness is ok still just as well, as 8 years ago- then it was still a marriott. The rooms and the baths are a nice size, only overnight stay with breakfast book, because one of the highlights is the dinner.
