Good middle-class resort, located on the slope-right in the middle of in green surroundings. Guest rooms at the privileges area (deluxe club wing) are nicely furnished. Over the cleanliness we can't complain. We have, as usual in Thailand, booked bed/breakfast. Half board, i would not recommend. Lots of guests come from the western area (scandinavian, swiss, german, french. Dutch and so on.). East europeans, as everywhere else on karob beach, one sees here rarely. For families there was the family area, for adults the privilege club. That is super good divided. read more

    Our club wing was very nice and tastefully decorated. Of a worn-out rooms i can't say, quite the gegeteil. In the very spacious bathrooms has a little problems with mold/mildew in the grout in the showers. The excuse we, as the very damp climate in the bathroom the fungus fördet. But this is a small lack, the one with the renovation can.

    The privileges club in a club room daily from the morning until the evening catered for, for lunch even with good snacks and fruit. The service there is very good. With the breakfast we were satisfied. In the main restaurant, where there was breakfast and à-la-carte-food (often theme buffets) are, is the service so mixed (so la la)! There are 2-3 young ladies, the very friendly and to the issues of the guests in the restaurant take care of it. The other service staff, some training deserves. No trace of friendliness, you are just indifferent (especially the male staff). The quality themed buffets is good, and the prices relatively high.

    At the front desk you are exceedingly friendly and courteous. The check in hassle free from, unless, one stands already for in the morning by the door. Then you have to just wait in the foyer, to the room free and again is prepared. Check-out time 12:00 a. m., check-in time 2:00 p. m.-it should you keep, because it is usual in hotels, very good mood are.     Large weak point is the relax-pool in the privileges club, so the area only for club guests. Here it should be quiet, but it is not.     Distance to the airport phuket: about 1 hour; phuket town for shopping can be reached by bus (bus stops you should ask). Shopping, night life: by taxi (tuk tuk) to patong. Whereas, in karon there is also lots of possibilities. There are restaurants everywhere on karon beach and/or on the streets. You just had to find the right thing, to to be content. The hotel is on a hill, not far from the beach. Who lazy, has always the possibility, with the hotel's own small tuk tuk almost the beach to be taken. Walk is healthier!

It was our honeymoon. It was really great in the hotel. However we would also definitely the club area recommend. We had it already in the travel agency additionally booked, had on the day of the trip there however the mean awakening, that the area was fully booked. But for the first night friendly a alternative offered, the honeymoon suite at the 'normal' area, on following day we got because also our room in the club area. Here you have some advantages, for example free wi-fi nutznug in the room or club area, from 12 to 14 o'clock daily happy ... hour in the lounge area and small snacks. Besides this area features a elevator. Which with over 30 °c but sometimes is very recommendable. Food you should but downstairs in the place to go, the hotel has overpriced price. In the town you should always a little further afield, perhaps cheaper drinks or food to get. Was bearable everything. The management the front desk is a german, all other coworkers speak well english. Even with broken english one gets ahead here and is understood. Room service has a good cleanliness sure, towels were changed every two days. What to be desired left, was the evening entertainment or entertainment program, it was every evening the same band, the more alleinunterhaltung as everything else made. For entertainment you should have stayed in the place or the free shuttle service to patong beach use. The free small trains service to the beach was very well accepted and used, because eventually one knows the mountain not see more or not more in the heat. Can recommend this hotel. The criticism of the previous votes partly not. The only where really is true, is the furniture worn-out are. The is however rather normal for a hotel with high frequency. Internet was very slow. read more

We would come back any time to the Horizon karon. We really enjoyed it. The hotel is clean, in good condition. Pool could be renewed times, but the we hardly used, because we prefered to be at the very nice beach are. The breakfast was good, there was something of everything. It was missing to us at nothing. The rooms are huge (club wing). Bars and restaurants right nearby. We felt very good in this hotel. read more

We had a room with a pool access (club room on the club wing). Very big with a seating area, flat -tv and bathroom (shower extra). The bathroom is large, but unfortunately old. The furniture in the whole room were very simple and not in a friendly 'almost black ' deleted. The terraces furniture were bad and fragile. Terrace and odd were during our stay not cleaned! The cleanliness in the room against very good. The staff very attentive and friendly. The pool had already better days. Should definitely renovated. Furthermore, the very strong gully stench after a rainstorm, very ... unpleasant. Breakfast in the restaurant is ok. Nothing special, but for each something. Also here the furniture very simple, the beach chair cushions illfavoured ( kunstlederbezogene cushions, fragile and old). Also here the atmosphere very simple. The hotel has a spa area and a good equipped fitness room. At lunch there was from 12 to 14 o'clock free snacks and drinks in all desired variations. In short: as already mentioned, because of value for money the hotel is fine, however nothing more. Have this hotel because of the mostly good reviews selected. This i can't confirm. I miss the thai attention to detail. There are simply no highlights. I already knew, that this hotel no Marina resort or Mövenpick(as we were 11/2009) is, but because of the positive reviews despite all the more we could have hoped for. To karon beach the beach is still very nice. The water wonderful. Only opposite 11/2009 (felt) twice as many tourists. Circa 80% russians, 15% europeans and 5% asians and australians. Kata beach against is completely overcrowded and dirty. Not recommendable. Note: we had in Bangkok the Le Meridien. Top hotel in a good location. read more

Good hotel the upscale, middle excellent in peaceful surroundings and nevertheless centrally located. More review refers to the club wing/privilege area. In the area it was very quiet and to contemplative. Room very large and well equipped. Bathroom had a large tub and xl shower. The rooms were partly 2 times per day clean. Cleaning crew was always in the hall and looked after the right. Also bath/beach towels gave it whenever you wanted in the housekeepers. Pool area:loungers/cushions always abundant. Pool. A bit dated,-but that didn't bother us, since we anyway no pool lying chairs are. Drinks ... and you could eat at the pool bar at a charge order. Restaurant \u263a review concerns only the breakfast) versatile breakfast buffet,-partly. A bit hard to get used to, since already in the morning a selection of thai lunch/ abendspeisen available were (but other people /other customs.) Apart from that there was from beans, bacon, scrambled egg, omelets, pancakes, fruit, muesli, cheese, sausage, Baguette, toast, yoghurt. Everything your heart desires. Privilege area: contained a lounge area in the free on the internet access, a library (with books/dvd in all popular languages), free areas, fruit, coffee, tea, soft drinks and alcohol. To the happy hour time. I think they went from 12 to 14 o'clock. At any time there were also free of charge. Juices(sweet and künstle ). The staff in the entire hotel was extremely friendly and always make an effort it a right to make. Excursions(elephant trekking, Phi Phi Island, James Bond island.could in the hotel, as well as on location be booked together with large differences in price. We have in the hotel and the was okay. Other outside and much less money paid. Outside of the hotel you will find plenty of bars, bars, restaurants(very recommendable 'on the rocks 'at the beach,-but it must be reserved in advance. Very delicious, romantic location. Simply dreamlike)+two chefs is also very good, shopping is plentiful. Bags, shirts, towels each quantity of plagiarisms (Luis vuitton, chanel, Boss, Burberry. And there are very many tailor the suits wish to sell and some very aggressive action. Also the promenades full of massage parlours which one definitely use (1 hour massage 400 Bhat) should. Karon beach:in comparison to pathon quiet with only 2-3 beach rows. Food /drinks cheap at beach bars to get. Waves partly very steep with strong undercurrents for children, disabled, only partly suitable. All in all it was a super, great holiday hotel, country and people. Simply wonderful! read more

I am already very wonder, that the various reviews always the staff's hospitality so much is highlighted. My expectation on service personnel is, of course friendly, so a behavior I am going to assume and not always extra be addressed. I wonder where the previous reviewer/inside otherwise run, that friendliness of the staff so especially it stresses. Unfriendly staff I would then say, because it is the exception and therefore a drawback. Now to the hotel. The breakfast is extensive and I think something for everyone. The individual hotel guests obviously joy in such a delicious food, just tütenweise the ... food for the later consumption with from the dining room was good, not just for the quality the existing hotel guests. I think, if the money for a snack is missing, you should think about, if you a vacation at all can afford. But some just only breakfast and free half board. To the pool in the adult area. The pool must urgently be renovated. It has already been said. What really is intolerable, is the permanent noise disturbance through the hausmeisterwerkstatt. Here must urgently somewhat done will the natives. I could see at package tourists imagine, hie a clear travel lack with the tour operators to make. As conclusion I could say, I will definitely this hotel for the future avoid, there is on phuket better for the same amount. read more

What I now am, was the complaining of a high standard. All together and basically was our vacation in Horizon karon beach resort nice. But some points I would like to mention, that other tourist not disappointed are. Point safe ( for many certainly not important, for travelers with laptop probably already ): safe is in terms of size so, that a 17 inch - laptop unfortunately not to store is. The last resort' laptop under additional pillow in the closet and hope, that kleingewachsene asians not so high reichen' but worked well-) laptop is intact with arrived in ... Germany. Point distance to the beach: certainly was I know, that the hotel no direct beach hotel is. But I got the mountain underestimated. Sometimes I felt at swiss conditions ailver, so steep as the route to the hotel is. There are only 5 minutes, the one then times blow must, but that was enough, degrees at the temperatures. This would not be the problem, would shuttle bus functioning. Downhill it has more often folded, uphill was almost never one is required. Although 2 shuttles are available. But well, we have healthy legs and then just taut the hill in boots. Gastronomy: the choice is really varied and everything is delicious. But as a reviewer before I wrote: the background noise in the breakfast area for those, the really peace search, enormous. Just, if many families with children in the hotel residents are. The problem is less the children, but of the parents, their children not even a little to peace dun. At least for breakfast. We then after 4 days in the privileges sphere. The bathroom is completely reasonable by the size and cleanliness ago. There are really only details. The mold in these countries not be avoided, we are aware. But a newly pulled silicone in the shower area costs not the world, is for the guest but very much acceptable. The tub is great, but totally wrong designed. Great hotel, overall for families with children. And if you your peace the small ' quälgeistern ' to have wants, should simply in privilege club, larger more comfortable room, own pool, hotel. Okay, the furniture could be renewed sometime. If you have old, but it is very clean. The breakfast is good and there is plenty of choice. All here are very friendly. My son and I are around satisfied. read more

When we were there have circa 70% australians with families be there. Alone the noise level for breakfast was already annoying. After a week we could the breakfast not see more. No variation and only on the australian guests orientated. Lunch for breakfast is nothing for us. Our room was big, however run-down. After a couple of days is the lack of cleanliness unpleasant, and we had to complain. The entire area would have a ... renovation necessary and the management can be financial (housekeeping) and creativity (menu) professionalism deny that. Pleasant is the spa area noticed and the thai cooking course was a great substitute for a rainy day. read more

    200 meters to the great, not overcrowded beach, is ok. Hotel's own small train runs until 21:00 to the beach and back. We never in the hotel eaten, because in Kata and karon restaurants in abundance. Better and cheaper. Excursions to phi phi etc. Of hotel from booked. Easy. We are equipped with the hotel's own shuttle bus to patong. Waste of time! Who on the well-known klichees is... We drive therefore not to Thailand.

We were in the Horizon Karon beach Resort and spa in karon felt really good. The value for money has absolutely been correct. The hotel is certainly not the newest anymore and here and there facilities, the soon to be renovated, the value of complex to receive. When we were there, they have already begun, at the park a bit and change and also a restaurant was at the end of our holidays closed because of of work. But that didn't bother us, since we anyway always in the village of somewhere to eat. The staff in Horizon Karon beach ... was very, very friendly and helpful. The staff at of the pool bar was also very nice, but definitely not very work searching. The empty plates and glasses around the pool were sometimes first in the evening again cleared. The cocktails uS long drinks were also not from the plinth ripped off. But that was the great great impression, the we from the hotel had, not cloudy. We would in any case go back again. read more

Nice hotel in the quiet Karon beach. Is about 200 meters away from the beach on a hill ( shuttle bus available). We were in the executive area with very nice and spacious rooms and a beautiful, quiet pool. Very nice broad beach with couches for renting (200 Baht for 2 chairs with sun screen per day). Nearby a variety of shops and restaurants. read more

Although we have stayed several times in Thailand we were so a our room have never experienced something like that. The staff are unfriendly and incompetent. The pool is dirty and garden area not well maintained. In the course of our booked club wing rooms are, loud TUI, soft drinks inclusive. But that was the staff unknown and we were given always an invoice therefore. The rooms are worn out and urgently in need of renovation. The breakfast was so bad that different guests their juice or, the sausage bringing your own. read more

The hotel is already somewhat older and some places would have once again paint (there we however in the last years all in all 10 hotels in Thailand visited, one of them in 2 consecutive years, we know, that just a year to ensure, that walls black and not renovated looks. The wall, the last year straight cleaned was, looks at the next already from been 10 years no brush seen. Ensure humidity and rain). Also the one or the other Corner seemed a bit messy ..., however everything from the great location made up for it. The Bepflnzung is gigantic and very well maintained. The lobby is particularly beautiful and also the pool area is wonderful inserted. The area of the restaurant is always tidy. The hotel was fully booked-peak season. By the pool you hardly got a beach chair. The breakfast room was always full and it was relatively loud for Thaiverhältnisse. The island poured before tourists almost over. Because of its, that we this time in family were, we had to put in the holidays drive. Our previous stays were always in September. Personally, I prefer the rainy season. It is much less busy and everywhere much quiet, the massage-, restaurant and Strandliegenpreise are cheaper. Also the weather was in February almost like we it otherwise in September experienced( from time to time Rain and cloudy). Only the sea water is in the low season of course not comparable (More like Baltic sea). Now in February the water was wonderful quiet and blue. read more

    '- our room in the normal areas were average. The furniture was already somewhat older and there are really much better room in other hotels. Also our bathroom was a bit damp, it was in the other rooms our Familiemitglieder but not Sunday ultimately we could good with all life. We had a great view over the complex on the sea.

    '- the breakfast was really really reasonable. Clearly, better always but me has absolutely nothing missing. Everything was always fresh and plentiful. The usual better breakfast evenly. -as my father-in-law a bit lazy, we ate also once in the restaurant of the hotel. It was actually not in my name, as I thought, that it overpriced would be. I was better informeth. The prices were similar outside, the portions huge and really delicious, the staff totally in order worried and extremely attentive. Since we only guests were, we were treated as such. The cook checked constant as it tasted and 3 waiters were always on the spot. I would anytime again make. Only the area is a bit chilly.

    '-the service at the front desk was extremely good. I had because of the size of our group many requests, the all exceedingly friendly and competent answered/been resolved. One was always very hard-working and also the reception was very nice. - cleaning of the rooms was good. - great I found the shuttle bus to patong. We several times used, at shop and time partying to go. the pool bar is a disaster. After our orders 2 x half an hour lasted had (2 is possible rum and a works), we left it on the bed and in the seven eleven furnished.

    '- the location is good. On the upper floors one has view of the sea. The way to the beach is not too far and can completely rotten with the hotel shuttle be completed. Bottom at the beach is a small telephone, from which you in the hotel the shuttle bus to call. -it is located at the edge of karon, on in my opinion most beautiful beach section from Karonbeach (we were already on the other Side). The hotel lies on a hill and thus quite quiet, the restaurants in the place are however only 200 meters away and also with the beach shuttle to reach. -Patong is close.

Even though this hotel getting a bit old is, we here again very felt at ease. we had, however against a extra charge, a room in the privilege lounge area with direct pool access. this rooms are very spacious and well equipped with for example free Wi-Fi, massive TV as well as DVD Player (DVDs you can in the hotel rental). Since the time 12:00-1400 hours in the Privileges lounge additional the anyway free Softies still appetizers and long drinks, you had virtually half board. read more

We had 2 weeks the deluxe club wing area (night and food was loved. ) and this is any definitely recommendable! There is a separate hotel complex (but within the plant) with a private pool( always clean, quiet and not crowded). Only the service at the Hotelbaar left to desire, if you perhaps apart had, a drinks brought to your beach Chair or at all afterwards being asked. Especially pleasant we found, that the local 'privilege club' chance, to have breakfast (until 10:30 A. M.), which in extent for us absolutely sufficient was, or between 12:00 to ... 2:00 P. M. a small something for lunch (inclusive), whatever tasty was. Or simply in between times one juice or coffee on the terrace there to drink. That was in the package (Club wing) included. Our room with balcony and two couches also it pleased us. The room was spacious, and everything there, that you need. Another plus was the quiet, pleasant atmosphere. Staff are very friendly, as in the entire hotel, and extremely hard-working. Never was it crowded, we often sat almost alone there and a very personal atmosphere enjoy. end of January/ Early February were only some German guests since. But also the other nationalities were unobtrusive. Here is again mentioned, our feedback purely on the club wing-area of the hotel relates. We were just on the first day short by the pool of the other hotel area and even if we would have had, to stay there, we would have gone, since it horribly of sewage stank. There must the hotel definitely something undertake. in large breakfast restaurant, the entrance of the hotel, we are only once been.     Here is the friendliness of the hotel staff even expressly mentioned. We felt all around probably. improvement is in any case the Wi-Fi-Login hotel guests.
