A very nice hotel, unfortunately me far from enough staff. Breakfast service and hotelrezeption were of a kraft taken care of. Because also long waiting periods until replenished.
The towels have not deserve the name. They were very old, worn and shabby. Room service was just bad. What on the floor lag, was also after service still there. Table was already on arrival dirty.
In the restaurant there was the offered side dishes not more. Of three types of red wine on the menu was only available.
The discounted parking for the parking garage, we, despite confirmation did not receive. read more

We in the hotel in the historic center am pach felt really good. The rooms are very clean, at night one the windows close-the late. The only fault was the breakfast buffet. It has although it is very beautiful, on closer observation missing around 8.45 in the morning, the eggs, the bread, scrambled egg and bacon-we had the feeling, they were simply forgotten. The yoghurt, juices and milk were on demand refilled, eggs, bread and bacon also. As our breakfast half an hour delayed. Us it was all the same, but a business the time not. The coffee was ... only lukewarm. Here it would be to be still training requirements.
All in all it was but a lovely stay and if we in Regensburg are, then gladly again in the hotel in the historic center am pach! read more

We had the smallest room of three, was but nevertheless big enough. To complain about is the tv, unfortunately too small and no flat. Our room was to the street, therefore noisy (pedestrians, street cleaning, etc.) sleep was only with the window closed possible. In spite of the small faults an excellent hotel really recommendable. read more

For a city trip really perfect. Service, cleanliness and decor are price-performance ratio hard to beat. The only drawback is the parking issue-there is none at the hotel. Two parking garages are about five-ten minute walk away. The location in the old town but great. read more

All here at holidaycheck reviews registered as a desired & honest and also with love for the detail.
With the newest Ubdate certainly small alley is hard to find.
It is also true with the staff.
But the nice Charme of the few staff made up for a highlight in Regensburg.
Room and bathroom were really great. And right in the heart of Regensburg, and it is worth the four stars.
Strong praise to the staff! read more

The location of the hotel in the old part of town we had the short distances because aware. In a few minutes footpath we were able to the city center, the Christmas markets, as well as all the other sights reach.
The only drawback, no hotel parking for cars, was more than made up for it in the old town-edge of parking garages, 500 meters away not more than, with reasonable storage prices (24 hour = ten €). The entrance to the hotel, is located in the pedestrian zone, is the loading and unloading of bags possible.
The whole hotel ..., the hotel also has a restaurant, is equipped to a very high standard. The rooms are big enough and very nice. Our bathroom was bright, friendly with bathtub and two sinks (even). The room had telephone, tv, DVD player. Demand free Internet access and wireless LAN. Although our room to the pedestrian precinct was, until late in the evening well visited, no loud entered the room.
The specialty of the restaurant, it offers different types of tarte flambee, we were very pleased. The buffet was varied and well booked.
The staff were all very nice, accommodating and helpful. In short, our stay and we have enjoyed in the Altstadt Hotel am pach really comfortable and can recommend it without any reservation.
Another tip to Regensburg: even if it is unusual, entrance to pay for a Christmas market visit, so the Christmas market is in the castle of the family to coaches and taxis, this money (6 €per adult) value. Like all markets should you wait at dawn, the sea of lights, opened fireplaces and the Christmas stalls the the castle, as well as in the inner courtyard offer a wonderful picture. This Christmas was one of the most beautiful, which we have ever visited. read more

Small nice hotel with thin staffing level, but slightly more than made up for that with their friendliness could be. All were very accommodating and worked despite the Mehrfachbelastung not tired, hectic, stressed, or in any way too much. The journey to the hotel is by the many one-way streets in the pedestrian area as almost impossible (we drove around in circles several times). As a last resort, we got a taxi driver asked for help, the pointed in the right direction (he drove from US) and took no money for the service.
After the excursion to walhalla we were ... mistaken again in the old part of town around, which we then decided, the car to leave in the garage and ordered a taxi to get there, the head just took 3.60 euro for the trip and our concern at the, as well as the hotel staff. We opted for a balcony room (about 40 square meter). The rooms are in a remarkably large crack in the wall above the door, as well as the built-in ceiling lights, which are often turned off yourself. We have that however on the Reparaturschein, who was in the room, noted. read more

Altstadt Hotel am pach is located right in the heart of the old town. All sights are within a few minutes walking distance.
The rooms are stylishly equipped and very clean. Each room is dedicated to a personality Regensburg. Despite direct Altststadtlage with the windows closed nothing from the hustle and bustle of the streets.
Helpful and friendly the staff was. Check-in and check-out were absolutely uncomplicated.
The breakfast is adequate. The food at the attached restaurant was reasonable and tasted very good.
Only the parking is a bit problematic. The unloading of bags can be done directly in front ... of the hotel. (However, the traffic is quite adventurous. Alleys in the old town) during the stay should you put your car in one of the many parking garages. The costs are very low compared to other cities.
All in all we liked the hotel very much and we can recommend it unreservedly. read more

In spite of the central location in the middle of the pedestrian precinct is the Anfaht with the car and parking spaces not far. A lovely old hotel with atmosphere and flair to modern Niveaux. Everything was extremely clean, good beds, high-quality cabinets and facilities. And super nice helpful staff. Waiting almost zero, no matter what, you will be pampered really good. For a old hotel of a very good quality. No full of nooks and crannies room or old sanitary facilities. Everything in clean and very good condition.
We had a room facing the pedestrian area. If you want to sleep with opened window, then ear plugs are highly recommended. The small alley during the night any whisper to a loud conversation ring. But if you want to be in the middle of the life, then you have this in purchase.
The service was very friendly, however, there appears to be only a lady to be responsible for everything. Front desk ..., the restaurant and the breakfast room. It can come to waiting periods. But they are not of the ladies in debt, are doing their best. A staff would be appropriate.
The towels are often complained apparently become better. We had nothing to complain about. They were clean and tidy. As well as the rest of the room. Clean and well maintained. Especially the bathroom was very plush.
The breakfast was quite good. It could be a little more cold cuts and cheese selection to be. Something missing, because it is assumed, it took until it was refilled. But the service described above. The staff can't share.
But all in all very recommendable for a city trip and is the ideal place to stay. read more

Altstadt Hotel am pach is located right in the centre of Regensburg. Great Location. Parking about a five minute walk from the hotel. Garage is the price was fine (the capacity arnulfpark) we paid 7 euros for one and a half days. Start right at the hotel we would not recommend, since the streets very narrow and a lot of cafes and people, is however possible.
The rooms pleased us very well. read more

Altstadt Hotel pach is very centrally located. Underground car park about five minutes away. Price per day ten €. Nice competent staff that the guest helpful with questions, etc. To help you. In the Arrangement price/performance ratio.
After sightseeing, you could end the rest of the evening at the hotel's own restaurant.
A small minus is, that the rooms to the inner courtyard with brilliant sunshine was quite dark.
But all in all the hotel is highly recommended.

The service was friendly and we had a nice large room, in which you can take to get without fear.

A very nice hotel, with very good location (directly in the city center of Regensburg and in a very quiet location). The breakfast is buffet style and offers a wide choice for everyone's taste. The coffee is especially for every guest at the table, which I personally thought it was a very good deal. On a rainy day you can relax in the hotel's Bar and food, as well as drinks. Or free tv (including premiere) or wireless Internet access (bring your own laptop) enjoy. The bar prices in the room are very reasonable. read more

Altstadt Hotel am pach is really in the middle of the old town, as described by the other reviewer. Although we had journey on Friday no problems with arrival. The car can be at one of the nearby parking garages for ten Euros per day will be accommodated. The front desk staff on (/ waitress in the restaurant, more about that later) you had to wait a bit longer. Under the internal phone, you should choose, but there was no one reachable.
The check-in was a bit chaotic, as the friendly staff member did not know, what room we were ... accommodated. Fortunately, there is a breakfast list on the counter, at which I could find our behalf.
The room was on the second floor (Albertus Magnus rooms) with a view of the inner courtyard. The furniture was not new anymore, but on the whole clean and well maintained. The room was equipped with tv, DVD, mini bar, telephone. In the tv there were even two 'sky' channels available.
The bathroom was partly furnished to a high standard (Stone) and very clean. The towels, however, were really an impertinence. Not only that they are old and hard, but also in many places just broken (we were not the only ones having this problem). Linen should be made by an external company, is urgently need feedback.
That would be all over that former, if you don't go for breakfast. The buffet was, as described by each reviewer here, not just empty latent, but especially in a fatal condition. The rotting fruit in the Etagiere was served again the following day. The scrambled eggs and cheese every communicate crept slowly from the cheese board. Unfortunately, there were also the prepackaged jams expired, which indeed could happen, but overall not a very good picture emerging. To top it all was every second plate not clean. The hotel has outsourced probably the washing dishes externally, because the dishes were removed in a van. To cap it all, then only that an employee is available for restaurant service, breakfast service and front desk will naturally not only, that the buffet in an unpleasant situation is, but also that of abandoned tables the used dishes, while a queue at the front desk for check-out and the breakfast guests to wait their orders. The lady was the friendliness in person, but these organizational drawbacks makes up only partially from the course. The breakfast was roughly a real disappointment.
The check-out was equally chaotic, of course, as we only had to wait then, by the time an employee for the front desk guests.
Conclusion: I think that was the price/performance ratio in this hotel not appropriate (138 €bed and breakfast). You had the impression, that the hotel from afar that obvious abuses and lead't be seen from the management. The staff is friendly, but rarely there, because not a soul quartering can.
The management active on the evaluation refers in Internet (which I liked very much), I hope, that this item and the records of previous travelers here actually follow reactions from the hotel management. The hardware problem with warn and dishes were exacerbated by the manpower and the lack of monitoring in the dining area only. In hindsight we had for another hotel. Under the circumstances I would recommend this hotel, as there are better and cheaper alternatives Regensburg: Bishop Court, giant or white cross, for example. read more

We had booked a weekend package extended 'Regensburg to explore' and were completely satisfied. A very well maintained elegant old hotel, centrally located in the heart of the old city and within walking distance to everything (by train). The room was large (Envoy room), tastefully equipped and very quiet (rooms facing the inner courtyard). The staff was very attentive and friendly and the package included a 3-course menu at the hotel's own restaurant was very good.
Highly recommendable! We would not hesitate to stay there again! read more

Who knows about the accessibility of Regensburg the Altstadt hotel and upon arrival at the weekends it can sometimes take a bit longer, until you through the pedestrian area with the car has fought in the hope, that you're at the front of the hotel a short park place. This fact and the subsequent park in a multi but the only (if any) negatives. Otherwise, every guest a herausgeputztes with much attention to detail in the middle of the city center Hotel. Our room was a dream (Envoy rooms). This is a hotel that doesn't really fun and it offers ... many advantages, right in the city center to stay, even though the prices are certainly a bit higher, but the price/performance ratio is reasonable.
