The Shangri-La in Cebu is a good quality hotel, set in enormous grounds and with a number of leisure options. The beach is very nice and offers high quality snorkelling just off it. The room was comfortable and, while very Asian in its focus, the breakfast was good. My only reservation is the fact that, outside of the Shangri-La, there is really not very much to do in Cebu, so your stay will be largely limited to the resort. read hotel review

We stayed in Shangri-La after our wedding in Cebu, one night in their Shangri-la Suite then 2 nights in their Deluxe seaView room. From the point of reservastion we already started having issues, from days to reply, having to follow up as they would not reply for a week at times. Then the Check in, my sister and her Husband and infant were checking in with us. they waited 5 hours for their room. so we shared our Suite with them. In our suite, i found a Loose screw on the bathroom floor, all the fixtures were dusty. they had ... a nespresso machine in the room which wasn't ready for use. On our second day were were suppose to move rooms in the morning to be able to enjoy the rest of our day at the beach, they gave me a new room number and told me it was getting ready, and an hour later i get a call saying they are chaning the new room to another room, and this went on 3 times, until it was the afternoon and we had wasted the majority of our day. when they moved us to a deluxe sea view room, when we got to the new room, it was an oven, the aircon was malfunctioning and it took them another 2-3 hours to fix the issue, so once again wasted our time as we still needed to re-unpack our stuff and enginieing staff were comign in and our of the room etc. there were alot of other small issues, and i reported all of these to thier Director of rooms, which basically said sorry and gave us Club acess for the duration of our stay which we didnt even use. Long story short, this hotel is to big, and they dont have control of thier rooms and issues in thier rooms that its very likely that you will have several issues and it will take hours to resolve as they are understaffed it seams. read hotel review

    Service in the Restaurants was great, mostly at tea of spring, and the manager Joe Marie, he really went above and beyond and he is so cheerful he just bring this atmosphere to the table you cant get anywhere else. But front office and housekeeping need alot of work....

    We were suppose to have Free Non-Motarized water sports with our package but is seems there is a read between the lines in the package, these are only for kayaking, and snorkling and windsurfing all other non-motarized are not included. Shangri-la should be more clear and not use the term NON-Moratized water Sports for only 2 items.

Nice hotel, the for a beach vacation as is well suited, as for a business trip. I had a club room booked, the me access to the club lounge allowed. That is very recommendable, as there the whole day small snacks and a rich selection of drinks there is. read hotel review

Great vacation days in this luxury hotel. The hotel was chosen based its beach description, where snorkeling activity is available near the hotel with a lot of fishes! Very good restaurants, especially loved the Chinese. Italian restaurant is the best option for breakfast - it is not noisy comparing to main dinning room. Rooms are clean and big. read hotel review

Hi, it was our first holiday in Asia, we had to start something fear in a new world, but completely wrong to! Here really everyone speaks very good english! The hotel is absolutely great! Everything was very clean, the entire staff was super friendly. The pool area was very spacious, sports pool, children's pool and pool available. The sea is only a stone's throw away and. Many color, lots of fish and lots of sun! It was always enough pool chairs available, always fresh towels and umbrellas in the form of sunshades, etc. We had the room with ocean view ..., very to recommend. We had booked the breakfast also. The breakfast buffet was excellent everything, what I have ever seen! Rich, abwechselend Everything. Asian, Japanese, european. Everything what the heart could desire! For lunch and dinner it here several variants. About five theme restaurants. With great views and great food! One should not underestimate the prices here however. German prices! It is läpperte It is a luxury resort, no crowds holiday destination! The pool also the prices! But the quality was always very good! Free Internet and a few extras such as fruit skewers at the pool etc. The area is very large and offered a lot, if you want to see something more can the two major shopping centers, with a shuttle visit. Very beautiful and everything spot cheap! All in all. A dream here! Only to be recommended! We'll be again. Asia read hotel review

The price level is with Germany comparable. Also at the beach as at the pool areas are very many beach chairs (also in the shade) opportunities available. Also convinced the sports (everything without engine is generally free of charge). The driving directions by slums is a glaring contrary to the hotel's secure is. From the Airport you can hear nahehelegenen (almost) nothing at all. Private trips to Cebu are located off the beaten path by the location of the hotel is hard to do almost not possible. read hotel review

We from Manila wanted to make a short trip to somewhere beach, since we are on Shangri la Santa Domenica di Ricadi in Cebu. (We were also already guests in the Shangri-la in Manila) so we could imagine us already something very nice including. But what we have seen for a resort in Cebu, what for a clean environment and great crew, and what we have experienced, we cannot say; Wow. Initially April 2010, after our upgrade to the ocean lounge (I think we were because Honeymooners) we had even on our 'separate' bay beach (hotel was not overbooked.) ... when we asked our waiter a food whether always the case, he said the we were lucky and had that from next week the hotel fully booked (holidays Asian countries) is Two different large pools, many many palms, flowers with everything green. (Dusk 1, met two mosquitos) Breakfast, lunch, dinner at buffet with three locations or to choose from several restaurants. We were only on the first day-easily overstrained. ☺ On two days we used the offered fun sport and with a Ringo out. Also snorkeling, absolutely to be recommended. Very important; the Shangri-la is actually a SpA, the treatments are very traditional and in a atmosphere what you can see anywhere else. You must not each day a massage or facial treatment book, also if it only a foot massage is, really have to do that, it is just a nice experience in this area the Shangri-La nachzu feel. With the shuttle bus (Please note on timely times) we are SM and Ayala mall drive, shopping, stroll through town, drive it almost 1 hour rush hour about 25 minutes instead) Our holiday this time were expensive, but also the most beautiful and relaxing ten strangely. I would recommend it all. For those, the just get away from it all and relax in a different atmosphere. Love greetings read hotel review

Everything what the heart wishes-huge area on five star level, perfect-you need not to leave the resort. Very busy at weekends (Asians with many children-in the week very, very, very empty-(ideal). Room normal without any special highlights, for breakfast the italian restaurant please use, not the main restaurant!, evening nice buffets (30, -per person), drinks on five star level 3, -, cola, beer, in Cebu Vergleichu : 0.50 cents, great SpA (hour 100, -per person) read hotel review
