Hotel Coast Blackcomb Suites^{(3 stars)}

We (my daughter and I) had a so-called Studio suite, so a room of about 30 square meters with bathroom and fully equipped kitchen (Oven, four hotplates, microwave, Sink, dishes, kettle etc.), electric fireplace, large flat screen TV and balcony on the ground floor. The room was very convenient and we have felt ourselves very well. It was not brand new but clean, in particular the bath pointed out no traces of use on. The only thing, which was missing, was a safe.

Except breakfast will in the hotel no more food offered. The breakfast there are as a buffet consisting of scrambled egg, marmelade, Honey, muesli, fruit (apples, bananas, Orange or fruit salad), bread (toast and a mixture of white and brown bread) and waffles (must be alternatively made a waffle maker). As drinks to be coffee, tea, milk and juices ( orange juice and pomegranate juice) offered. The breakfast begins officially at 7:30 A. M. and ends around 10:00 A. M. officially. If you are up early and have a place to eat breakfast, you can better at 7:15 A. M., since the capacity for all hotel guests, 7:15 a. M. until 8:00 A. M. between breakfasts want is not sufficient (the no space to the time their breakfast also on the room). Those, which only and 9:00 A. M. for breakfast come, it could happen, that you don't get. The ski area is comparable with a small ski rental in Austria, in the not only the ski kept, but also minor repairs performed may be. I am not quite sure, if you rent skis and boots there, as we our own things with us. You should shop in the marketplace in Whistler, for emergencies it is in the hotel a kind of kiosk, the details such as chips, candy, and drinks results. A kids club or a discotheque in however in vain.

the hotel is in typical Canadian architectural style with a lot of wood and rocks multi-storey building, but very well into the landscape in and around Whistler a. It was certainly not the newest and in some places the renovation, is however for a skiing vacation a in my opinion almost ideal starting point. Directly in front of the hotel the drive free bus to Whistler (village) in the 15 minute intervals from 7:14 A. M. in the morning till late in the evening. Drive into the village about about 10 to 12 minutes, depending of them, such as lots of people hop out. With the first bus at 7:14 A. M. you to the gondola in Whistler, the one for the ' fresh tracks' from 7:30 A. M. transported to round house lodge, as long as we booked this fun. On the downside the hotel small Lobby, the breakfast is taken and not all guests at certain times enough room offers.

the hotel lies in the upper village of Whistler just outside the hustle and bustle of Olympia village almost at the end of the street and is ideal for those, the primarily skiing and secondly, quiet sleep. In the last or first January week in February, we were there, it was street the hotel to drive on, since it was free of snow and the bus had no problems, observe the timetable.
