At the time we were from 20-02-2013 until 07-03-2013 in the Khao Lak resort and after very many tours in the last few years this time a beach break. The hotel with jungle feeling is this very suitable. However a trip to the lamru national park made (within walking distance about minutes away), was great with a path through the jungle and a beautiful bay (so don't forget swimming gear). Then we went to the Similan Islands; there is one in paradise. Sugar beach and turquoise water. Snorkeling and swimming super! When we were there, it was not crowded. This ... trip is very recommendable. At the beach you can turn right from endlessly long walk. The market is very pleasant, but since we have already seen more beautiful. The travestieshow moo moo was very unterhaltsamm and funny. During the 2 weeks it has twice at the time from 17:00 until 19:00 o'clock thundered and rain. Did not disturb however, since then again everything was okay. Food at the beach left with peters restaurant is very good, here one sits directly barfüssig in the sand and the sea is only a few meters away. Massages directly beside it super good, we used almost daily (much better than in the hotel, had a coupon get). Food outside very good and cheap near a wide choice of restaurants (mojo and golden elephant etc. All good). Cocktails for 99 Bhat very nice. Annoying was the early to reserve of the chairs; which then for a very long time not used! read more

Very naturenear hotel. You feel like in the jungle. However, therefore also everything a bit 'run down' from. We have but nevertheless felt good. Per person we got from the hotel a voucher for a dinner (delicious) and a thai massage. Wonderful beach, however somewhat too few beach chairs (annoying daily reserve).
Superior room (number 411) very big with beautiful bay windows and a large shaded balcony.
Because of the lots of stairs and upward gradients (usually without railings) for handicapped people unsuitable.
Entertainment nearby (we were often at siam sun star restaurant and the gold bull). read more

The hotel is located embedded to nature on a beautiful long sandy beach, from where you great walks to start. The evening sunset is a force. The hotel is huge and offers something for every taste. Many hard-working workers were the complex in shot, only sometimes very noisy and sometimes disturbing. The people were always friendly and very accommodating, however. Friendliness does not replace a service especially the cleanliness, in 4 stars hotel. You could surely the european standard not benchmark, but in 3 weeks not 1 time the room, let alone the bathroom, mopped. The 'white' towels were changed ... daily, but on some days we wanted not use this, because they are gray and with many large and very unpleasant stains lukewarm food were.
The restaurants and bars in the village are numerous and most also very good. Many shopping possibilities in which you always act could, made the shopping interesting. Good full when we Discovery country-here again huge thank you for the great time -. read more

We were very satisfied, despite partial bad vorkommentare other travellers. The hotel has though one or another point to the one you improved, but that is the sum of exceptionally beautiful nearby hotels not detract from our stay. You should gehfest are. Because the hotel built into the hillside is, one must put some steps, but also this is not bad at all. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast in the open perfect. The restaurant directly on the beach wonderfully located, very tasty and not much expensive than the local in Khao Lak itself. We booked through ... Thomas Cook booked. When we arrived we had 2 time 1 hour massage and a dinnergutschein than front desk (no idea why). As it 2 days no warm water gave, we have 2 dinner coupons get. The place is on foot in 15 minutes by tuk tuk for 100 Bhat 2 minutes away. There was while we were there little children. However the pools are so nice, that you can also so wonderful with its kids entertain. We would definitely come again. read more

The hotel 'Khao Lak resort' is near the 'Khao Lak – lam ru' national park. It is very clean and nature run. In short nature feeling pur!
Furthermore be mentioned, that this hotelarial very big and extensive, nevertheless through the few number of the houses and bungalows very 'laid back' and to the in this complex very quiet is.
The prices the food in the hotel itself are a bit more expensive than outside the hotel, in the village of nang thong (which you on foot about 5-10 minutes away) there is however many very cheap and at the same ... time really very good restaurants.
We can strongly recommend this hotel. For us was this hotel for sure one of the most beautiful which we ever visited. read more

Hello in january 13 we stayed for two weeks in the hotel. First i want urgently on the entry of a Peter, traveling as a couple 55-60 years urgently enter.
Here, i have to ask what else do this Peter, he was at all in this hotel? We are the whole hotel retired and after the pictures shown things searched, but not found. I have since almost 30 years to Thailand. Not everything with our criteria can be measured, is all clear. But something to write, that i think as absolute insolence. None of this is true what he writes ..., when he allegedly 20% back demands, would be offset for guests, perhaps because of its wrong description /review not booked this hotel, a explored adequate. So Peter, what is it with you at home from, because who looks for, he finds and i am sure, too, there is something to discover. The slums in Thailand look different (i was already there! ). An apology would be urgently to your side.
So now to our review:
The hotel makes a clean well maintained impression. The rooms are spacious and richen not to mold like for instance in next hotels. The pools beach chairs partly in the shade, what with the heat is very good, because the water is so always recreating. The complex maintained and no trash, garbage is open
Around. The sheets, which again and again the trees are not directly disposed, i do not find as disturbing. There the complex on the hillside, and trees, plants and palm trees surrounded is, has everything a 'jungle flair ', which i personally in comparison to concrete -hotel-bunkers as advantage look at.
This is, of course, that partial lots of stairs and hills from the beach/ pool area to the individual rooms back should be. Here you have the necessary movement, is however for people with going complaints a bit of a hassle.
What we as well as other guests as the only complaint, is in many hotels exactly instead of: the evidence of the chairs with towels. This is partially without consideration for fellow guests unscrupulous solid. It is partly at 7 o'clock a towel, books, bags and even individual shoes on a beach chair and then these 'owner' perhaps at 12 o'clock, but his, only at 15 o'clock. Here is in my opinion also the hotel management demanded, this' hustle and bustle ' contain. Apart from that we relaxed very well and may this hotel heedlessly 100% ig recommend it. Great room (villas) and a wonderful hotel left directly at the beach correct relaxation! Everything is very well maintained, the service very good, the staff very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has unfortunately its best years already behind itself. With a few upgrades it could return to a real gem gemachent are.
Jungle feeling pur, the hotel is really mittendrinnen. Lots of stairs, for physically physically abled guests not a problem. The 4 pools are very nicely embedded in the landscape, and clean. Beach: it is the most beautiful section, since the loungers not directly at the beach cannot be. They are between the trees, so always shade, one needs almost no umbrellas. And here is the biggest problem too few beach chairs for a ausgebuchtest hotel. There were ... even already in the evening the loungers with towels arranged. The cushions are unrepentant, torn and stained. For us, it was very disgusting. The parasols are also in a bad state, should both exchange. Bin walk at noon already over, but not noticed.
Breakfast was okay, something for everyone, coffee and tea very good.
We had a small mouse in our room, the problem was done immediately.
Very much staff, all very friendly, you had the feeling everyone is in favour of its responsibility, but no one looks over this broader picture. A great shame.
Conclusion: after a small renovation and umstruktuierung of the staff we would like to come again. read more

The very extensive at the infinity area widespread jungle feeling pure. The rooms (the simplest category superior) is big enough with a big balcony or terrace. A really beautiful hotel. The complex is in the 'jungle' embedded and has a beautiful, long beach. The hotel is about 5 to 10-minute walk from the centre from Khao Lak, where you very good food and can go shopping or a scooter borrow or excursions or relax with a good massage relaxation.
The bungalows are very clean and spacious and many have due to the hillside location at least something beach- and view of the sea.
The breakfast is good and it is partly fresh and prepared according to. The staff are friendly and helpful and bustles around unobtrusive ... in every corner and end on the hotel rum.

Perfect for relaxing, the complex very well maintained with attention to detail.. At the end of october - beginning november has the advantage that the popular destinations of mass tourism taken are you'll have to take service was excellent. Rain storms. The hotel has very lots of stairs, which every day to be mastered must. Our bungalow was on the edge of the forest, so it was very dark. The breakfast offer was very well arranged, there is merely two types of sausage and the daily change. Cheese there is a sort of, therefore is the breakfast not very varied. Of course there are also as everywhere the pool people who reserve sun loungers. The staff has lack of English.
The hotel complex is very beautifully in the rainforest. Very well maintained pool area. Every day there were fresh towels and ... the hotel was very clean. Until into the city it is a piece of to walk however the taxis there very cheap. Very you could get good food in the golden elephant ( from the hotel left out, street down on the right side). A good tailor there is as well in Khao Lak ( monty). It was a great vacation overall but when Asien connoisseur and lovers are we better used to. It was missing the asian touch. read more

The hotel is in big houses with rooms and different bungalows divided. We had a superior bungalow booked, but we were in a deluxe bungalow upgraded. This was large, clean and very nicely furnished. We had a small balcony with a view of the sea. The guests were 99% were German, the staff spoke good English. read more

Now in the summer the team from the Khao Lak Resort shown, the can, if they want! All service spaces around classes works better than the last December. It was because of the low season and the somewhat reduced number?
We lent ourselves before prior asked, what bungalows we should get. Since we the location not very fancy, the desire was expressed, other bungalows, at the large pool, to refer. Worked very well, got our Wunschhütten.
Requested loungers to our pool area were immediately both.
There during our travels only the beach bar was open, as had the call to ... the management, the employees the bar time to stop, the pool ranges Justice, to take orders. This would certainly also the sales boost. Actually Larger drinks and food were however very quick and were very good!
Breakfast found once again in the open restaurant at the pond instead of, with a view of the sea, better than in the runtergekühlten food hall in the high mountains-). The staff worked this time very motivated and was very concerned.
A nice attention: our Mariechen got a birthday cake & serenades for breakfast ( without request or request in our opinion).
Spa we tried. That was a total letdown! There should definitely what happened, had never had such a bad massage in Thailand!
It found renovation works instead of ( pool - villa, beach bungalows) which US however not disturbing.
In short: it is to be hoped, that our impression last December just a flash in the pan and otherwise about as (further) runs as the before and now in August. So it is absolutely recommendable! read more
