Hotel Point Barbaros^{(5 stars)}

the hotel is very modern and attractive. The staff extremely polite and accommodating. At the front desk spoke perfect English, no German. Our bags were in accordance with the check in delivered to your room. we (3 persons) had a room on the fifth floor with extra bed. The bed was unfortunately a bit small and our 18-year-old was daughter in the light problems. Our bed was big enough, but unfortunately we had to sleep, just a large Blanket. For us this was unusual and, even though we a additional had requested, we had to us with one. Unfortunately ☹ ... the room would have in our case a little larger. We had deluxe room, if there was one, I can't say. It was in any case very clean and the maid service was every day and also fresh towels. The closet was what I would call very small. For one person, for 2 people; very tight, and our case. We lived out of the case ☺ For 4 nights on new year's Eve the time. there is a flat screen TV with 2 German Channels (per seven and RTL), a minibar, a kettle the tea making facilities, a desk with free Internet access. ( either wireless or a cable the direct access) the bathroom was very clean. The shower exceptionally large with rain shower head and additional Head on a shower hose. At the washbasin there was a magnifying mirror with light and a hair-dryer was also available. The usual shower gels, shampoos, body lotions were also available. in the hotel there is a spa area with fitness center, swimming pool, jacuzzi, Hammam, sauna, A steam room, and a solarium. In the swimming pool you could only cap or you will get a shower cap for mounting. We saw maybe silly from. Unfortunately the hot tub was too cold, so that we did not use. Pool was OK. In the restaurant it was great. My daughter and I were quite alone. The room was all marble and very warm. There you could wonderfully enjoy their own splash pool with warm water. Sauna, Fitness center, Turkish we didn't visit, I can't say anything. Solarium was no chance of a sunbed, but to advise authorities. the restaurant was perfect. It is on the 18th floor and you have a dreamlike view. We were once in the evening the quality of the beach. It was very good, but also of the price. Breakfast buffet was included and very tasty. Something for every taste. there are 3 lifts. Thanks to the first review, we have already in the apron our room far away booked by the elevators. Thanks for the tip ☺ It was very quiet location in our rooms, not least because of the soundproof windows and the silent Airconditioning. the lobby a business center with several computers places, printer and fax. In the lobby there is a bar and a passage to the bordering pizza place. in the area there were small restaurants and a bus station. The bus takes you cheap to Taksim square. We are the first time unfortunately always with the taxi and in the rush hour very expensive. our airport was in the Asian part part of Istanbul (Sabiha gökcen). With the taxi we have just about 50 euros paid. Maybe it is cheaper, but with 3 people and 3 suitcases, it was too much trouble. it is a wonderful new hotel, but if you like we, a lot in the old town on the way, you are almost too far away from anything. The hotel is located in excellent condition, the decoration makes a high-quality impression and the cleanliness of the hotel was immaculate. Especially to be highlighted was the breakfast buffet, which is next to a delicious selection of western european dishes also local specialties. The lace is completed by through the restaurant on the 18th floor with picture windows look out over the city. Stayed one evening a sandwich and a soup delivered to the room, both were very good. There is a bus station, which is a great connection to the airport. Made the mistake myself to the taxi to ... the rush hour (approx. 18 hours) to sit and have instead of the usual 30 minutes about 2.5 hours. The bus has its own lane and is fast and cheap. The staff is very friendly and speaks exceptionally good English. IMPORTANT: There are only a hook in my opinion a great hotel. The elevators responsive make a totally unnecessary and much too loud "Ping", if you keep in any other floor. As there is a large space in the middle of the house, you'll hear the "Pings" from the floors below and above a. If you had a room near the elevator you hear at certain times (morning/evening) every few seconds Ping an annoying. Fortunately, hardly any people traveling at night. Still I urge to select a room, the furthest away from the elevator. You can really enjoy the stay here. read more
