The more newer junior suites are great, we have during the stay we felt comfortable all around. The games room above the front desk is great. Especially the food - there nobody had to starve here! Despite ' only ' booked half board is a lunch and at 5 o'clock tea /cakes included! The host family is pleasant child-friendly, what but also from the rest of the staff and the guests a little more could be reflected. read more

Very friendly staff in ruedihus, in particular the waiter...
The room (love nest) in ruedihus was sensational. A small holzhäusschen with a four poster bed and a large bathroom.

The waldhotel doldenhorn with about 40 rooms and a generous dining & wellness area has a clean appearance.
It offers every guest the perfect base for activities such as hiking and winter sports and is also for a short stay with wellness and wonderful food as created.

In the short term we received for 3 nights over new year's eve 2012/13 a double room in ruedihus. For nostalgia-lovers a bijou. Our request for veganem food meant not a problem. Even though it was completely booked out, zauberte us the küchn crew excellent vegan menus. The new year's eve we spend in doldenhorn in the elegant, romantic salon bleu with a vegan 7-course dinner.
The cordial friendliness the set staff spread a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, which we very much. We felt in good hands and could really relax.

The hotel is very nicely located, somewhat outside from kandersteg. The service, as well as the rooms leaves nothing to desire. Also culinary you will experience a high level. We have the dinner in Ruedihus can enjoy. An experience of a very special kind. The breakfast was according to the star extensive and delicious. The swimming pool included wellness area for this great, very nice. You should however the temperature in the indoor pool as well as in the water around 1a 2 degrees elevation. During our visit the temperatures at the lower Wohlfühllevel. It would also be good if ... you at the small outdoor pool, the, due to the lighting in the nighttime vorhandnenen, many dead insects on the edge of regularly would remove.
The hotel is a absolue pearl in the Swiss mountains and we can with a clear conscience recommend to anyone. We will be back. read more

Very beautiful hotel somewhat outside from kandersteg (up to the local center about 10 minutes hike), however ideal location for hiking. The staff are very friendly, also you can the cleanliness in the whole hotel praise. The rooms are greräumig and nicely furnished. The mini bar is free with 1 bottle ice tea and two bottles of water every day replenished. The bathroom features bathtub and shower, as well as on a separate toilet. There is a beautiful swimming pool and 3 saunas ( until 22 o'clock open), ideal to relax after a strenuous hiking tour. In the wellness area ... there was a small juice- and water selection free of charge available. The food is magnificent, at the breakfast is everything available what your heart desires ( you can also many things, like for instance fried egg with bacon, käseomelett, pancakes, freshly squeezed orange juice and so on free order from the breakfast menu, it is then freshly prepared), sparkling wine there is also, although the intended or unintended tucked away on the juice bar is, coffee and hot chocolate are very good. The dinner is a dream, absolutely star chef ripe. However one comes a lot cheaper if you half board bay. The restaurant is already expensive. To the half board have a snack in buffet form at noon, as well as coffee, tea and cakes from 17 o'clock. You can also in the ruedihaus eat out ( or is), is also to the hotel and is about 300 meters away. This is a 250 years old, lovingly restored swiss house with some still original furniture. Very comfortable ambience and you should definitely be the cheese fondue or raclette try, it is worthwhile. Kandersteg is a larger village, with some nice shops, cafes, restaurants and hotels. The village is very quaint at the end of the scenic beautiful kandertals. There is many excursions and many beautiful hiking trails in all levels of difficulty.
Our summary: we had a very pleasant day of vacation the waldhotel doldenhorn in dreamlike autumn for and are definitely coming again. read more

Great Hotel, restaurant (we went to the Gourmet restaurant) and Spa, too bad the bathroom was so old. some refurbishment would be necessary. Also at the restaurant, great cheese platter, but the staff had some lack of knowledge regarding the cheese.

We had two wonderful days in Ruedihuus, where the staff is the stay for every guest a memorable experience. The food with the half-board is a menu limited (if you do not want to fondue or Raclette has), which however not a problem is, as this one menu absolutely fantastic tasted. The lunch box, which we for our hike at the oeschinensee ordered, was so extensive, that even for the trip on the next day enough. The prices are not cheap, but you get the appropriate quality. We were in any case completely satisfied with our stay and the tv ... didn't miss anything! read more

The food is exceptionally good and only worth a trip.
Room pleasant size really clean
Merely the hair dryer was replaced as he slightly blew but it was promptly remedied.
Great wellness area with pleasant warm water.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Boss and boss much endeavors us with an extension to help, although was fully booked.

Very nice wellness hotel. The wellness area is great. The treatments relaxing. The siebengängige gourmet supper very plush and varied. The best was the Dessertwagen; over several floors many delicacies. We will come back soon. The stay was total relaxation! read more

Great hotel, the from us booked Chalet rooms (cheapest category!) point 406 was unique, very comfortable, with cute balcony. The spa area is very big and varied. The furnishing the restaurant-rooms seems partly somewhat tacky, is however very comfortable. The breakfast is almost unbeatable wide, very nice! Food, service, ambience in the country inn Ruedihuus also top. read more

Hotel at peaceful location with a variety of excursions. Beautiful wellness area with different saunas. Restaurant, bar, lobby in the old, homey style. The food is very good and really recommendable! The hotel has spacious seminar rooms. Suites seen, this top, the standard rooms, well, depending on location is it the taste: I had a room to the slope side/back, and since the slope (rock, trees) really right under your nose. Because the hotel at the slope is built, the of course not avoid, however I prefer normal more beautiful Prospects. Apart from that the rooms are very spacious, one ... has enough capacity. read more

Great spa hotel, culinary miracles, very polite staff, grandiose location! BUT room 505 should if possible be avoided. Facilities great even cuter balcony, very generous bathroom. Toilet is only with a sliding door lock (disadvantage as the second person in any case wakes up). It was still what the wellness vacation really strained is the bad noise Isolation. Room 505 lies above the bar, only after 01:00 o'clock it was reasonably quiet, yet disturbing but it was the toilet Flushing of the suites next door. The toilet must equal behind our bed ( head) placed his. You can hear ... everything even the phaseout of toilet paper. If is rinsed you get stuck in bed as it is very, very loud and unpleasant (one could do mine one has the flush itself made ). Furthermore there is no possibility the room ( for late risers) darken. There is only thin curtains. The very excellent and reichhaltie breakfast the morning salvage. For those, which absolute peace search, I would recommend a room on the third floor and page of introduction to book. Spa facilities absolutely clean, spacious and homelike! read more
