After two weeks malaysiarundreise we had a dream of a week in this freshly renovated hotel. The pool is a dream with integrated jacuzzis and sonnensegeln. A comparable shallow pool you are unlikely to german outdoor pool find! Already for small children very suitable. The rooms are newly renovated with a very spacious bath and private terrace or balcony. We had a beachviewzimmer, directly at the beach. The area is very extensive and you should try a room closer to the center from penati cenang to get (houses 1-10). We had a great vacation there! read more

Very nice hotel complex directly at the beach with 2 very clean pools. Currently the complex partially renovated, but not too disruptive (no noise disturbance). Very rich breakfast buffet. The hotel's own restaurant is upscale, so we usually in the place in pub restaurants ( wide choice - chinese, Indian, Thai...) ate. Weather tropical with compulsory heavy showers. read more

+ great and large area, beautiful architecture + lovingly furnished double bungalows directly at the beach + beautiful extensive beach + very friendly and attentive staff in all areas + delicious and varied food (daily breakfast and some restaurants) + prices elevated, but still ok + numerous shopping and dining options in the area (within walking distance) - hotel a bit dated, however everything always clean and tidy - especially the bungalows bemerkmar, but currently successively renovated read more

We were 20 years ago the first time inLangkawi. At that time was the island still under construction and the hotels then were all fairly new. The hotel had 5 stars today however i would most at best three stars forgive you in Thailand for three stars often receives for its money. The price for 5 star has remained. These should be the tour operator check. Garden area is nice but as the whole hotel except the lobby the ja new totally run-down. On arrival was the pool totally green but after a day probably through chemistry spotlessly clean. The ... breakfast was very good but that was actually already everything. Near the cleanliness i would three stars forgive what the cleaning of the rooms subject. Apart from that was actually already everything in the previous reviews said. Is true. Perhaps now wonders of a or other why we then booked? We of the couple last reviews fooled and try, because we in Thailand already luck had despite bad review because we travel Asien already for 20 years. read more

    Service in the lobby was good, however services of the hotel rather bad We are not there to watch tv on vacation went however is the program very bad. Crt televisions in the room, 11 program but no Deutsche Welle, entertainment while available but per movie 5 Euro fee, the newest movie of 2008 was. And wi-fi was only free in the lobby. One must again to remember the hotel should be 5 stars

beautiful relaxing vacation. We only the breakfast in the hotel served. Highly recommended are restaurants outside of the hotel. Very tasty and cheap. Our room was not new but always clean. The beach was beautiful, the beach chairs belong renewed. Since we almost always alone but at the beach we were able to good conditions for our beach chairs on the search go. Nevertheless a wonderful vacation. Be careful in Malaysia is only English spoken. read more

It is to a very large resort, the consists of many different houses in the Malaysian style, mostly in the room are four. The resort is so large, that the guests with their luggage carts to your room at will and the staff on the ground with the bike paths. Here I have to malaysia on a round trip of three days spent. The hotel is located directly on a long and very broad white beach, at the the hotel also provides beach chairs are available, as well as hammocks. Unfortunately in this hotel quite a reservation mentality before, so ... that you sometimes find has to eleven hours, still a free beach chair. The public is mixed, but mostly tourists from Europe, but also tourists from other parts of the world are here, so you may fully with muslim women in black wrapped sit by the pool in the, a little getting used to is what. The front desk was friendly and professional, but I had the impression but, here is mostly duty made, without the individual guest to pay a lot of attention to. For example, my request was answered by mail before a early check-in after polite and correct, but was rather the mail blank (if the room was ready, I could of course earlier-the was already clear to me). The room was very large with windows on three sides, a large bathroom with a kind of dressing area and balcony. The view was on a man-made pond. Had disturbed me the something old and so loud air conditioning. Cleanliness was mostly in the room, also bed sheets and towels were spotless, but there was a not clean rinsed cup, for example, what the staff would have noticed. All equipment was available (hair dryer, safe, TV, large selection of cosmetics, kettle with coffee and tea and as usual in Asia two small bottles of water every day). However, I found some negligence, but not so bad were the (no instructions on safety deposit box; the remote control of the TV was fine not to the device, so that the key button was missing to the television programme to set in motion). I had booked the hotel with breakfast. Because of the size of the hotel was quite lively to it here. The selection included everything for Asian, Continental and American breakfast, but I had not fallen, that items such as yogurt and fruit in very large containers were offered, what with the heat and the many guests, the resort in these bowls, worried about hygiene with me caused (butter on open plates, jam in large, open tanks, etc.) The hotel has to make a huge offer to the varied: two pools, tennis court, mini golf, car rental, tour organization, tennis courts, bar with entertainment, children's playground, several restaurants with actions such as barbeque). W-access is for a high fee in the public areas of the hotel, so I preferred not to have decided to use to me, the free w-LAN in the restaurants. You can but also a short walk away in the place, where it souvenir shops, many different restaurants, massage salons, etc. The place has a more at night life and entertainment possibilities, but on the long term I would also to boring. Ultimately, it is one of the many resorts, where you it for a short stay or for a longer holiday let go can. You get to know such resorts but in other parts of Asia or the world, you know, that this is often somewhat similar, if also certainly tried to offer each local. In this sense, the hotel offers due to the size of the hotel unfortunately not 'something' the degree. Langkawi offers there, where the resort is located and also for excursions with a rental car, for example (children light to go, because there is not much going on is and also not so many roads are there, that you can quickly lost) beautiful beaches and also much more like a car with waterfalls and stunning views, as well as the possibility to snorkelling on other islands and mangrove tours. Nice resort. Old room are worn out and in need of renovation. The pool was beautiful, clean and large. Very nice staff. Prices in bars and restaurants are to high. Why a Coke, beer etc. is about seven times more expensive than outside of the area is beyond me read more

The location of the hotel is beautiful, the pool area also. Also if the room in some places something worn look, is the condition altogether absolutely great and the room and bathroom size great (we had 'Lake view'). However, the rooms are covered by (huge!) the balconies also quite dark. Some will like the not, but the is Malaysian style. Mosquitoes despite it did not the lake. We are after three nights at the Casa del Mar next door, much what new and the service and the facilities incomparably better is, but also much smaller! Families 'and ' trubelige people ... are perhaps still rather like the Pelangi. read more

We were with our bungalow with Lakeview very satisfied. Also if we it something further to the hotel lobby had, we enjoyed the walk through the beautiful than, well-kept and very large gardens. In our vicinity of the Cascadenpool was and then you could also use other main pool. At two pools you could borrow towels. The only Wemutstropfen this holiday was, that we had to 7:30 a.m. to catch up later, to two beach chairs (no matter where). Almost all tourists hired four to six from the towels, just the pool chairs early blocked and came first ... in the afternoon often volt trips back. The means, the whole time could not be used the pool chairs. We booked two excursions-a sailing trip with the Stardust ' and the mangrove tour with Peter Höfiger. Both are very to be recommended. Mrs Gudrun in this hotel for us was a responsible. This lady a scattering impression on us something. It was not, nor the island, or habits and customs before. She made no suggestions U. S. wireless. Fortunately we had informed us before even at length about the island. We explored the island with a small car itself. The prices in the restaurants were ridiculously high. Each evening was a fantastic buffet at the pool or on the beach. But the prices were higher than the Christmas brunch in the 'Hilton'. Very to recommend the restaurants 'the cliff '(on the left end of the beach cenang beach), ' cenang boat quay-seaside restaurant (on the right side behind the volt hotel port) and the Chinese on the main street. You must wait for 7:30 P.M., to to get space. All in all it was a very relaxing holiday. Such a nice empty beach looks very rare! read more

The hotel is in the years come. The cleanliness in the rooms left a lot to be desired. The staff was very dull. Food was very monotonous (all inclusive). In the surrounding area (tennis court, mini golf) everything was in the years come and looked a bit of a let down. We were very disappointed, as the reviews have said actually something different. read more

In the years older hotel, the from its past lives. Unfortunately the prices are for Asian standards by far not appropriate. The houses with several apartments in the Malayan style are old, partly musty by a carpet in the room. Cobwebs were also not. The breakfast was of good quality and taste of the food are really good. The beach is huge. However by the many quallen was a bathing in the sea not possible. As well as were thousands of dragonflies in the hotel area. The beach chairs including cushions were also not the newest on the beach and ... pool. A bar was available, but the prices, as already mentioned, on european standard. 300 meters away from the hotel was very good entertainment and dining opportunities. read more

The hotel is located directly on a long, stocked with palm trees, beautiful beach. We had a seaview-room. This room is located directly on the beach hotel. From the large terrace, it (at least from the rooms on the edge of the plant) only three steps to the beach. The hotel has three restaurants (BBQ, Thai, Malaysian cuisine). On the quality of the food in the restaurants I can't say anything, since we always have eaten outside. In the town, in which the hotel is, it has several bars and restaurants, from grilled seafood up to Indian, etc. everything is ... and mostly also very cheap. The breakfast in the hotel and it was for each something we here. It was everything for a european, Indian or also Asian breakfast. The pool area is very beautiful and it is a nice bar in the pool. I would like to highlight the friendliness of the staff. No matter where, whether at reception, at the pool, at the beach the staff were all extremely friendly, nice and helpful. We had very nice days in the meritus Pelangi beach Resort and Spa, so I can only recommend this hotel to anyone, a few days in a great atmosphere want to relax! read more

Very nice hotel, the seaview-room are very large, well furnished, the bed sheets and towels were changed on request each day. Coffee, tea bags and water bottles were always filled up. From our room we had a beautiful view on the sea. The breakfast was as usual as a buffet and was very rich and the selection of quality was the breakfast was very good. The area made a clean impression. The only negative aspect of the hotel is, that it is right on the approach line of the airport is located. The planes flew directly over then often the ... beach chairs and the noise has disturbed us then. read more

Beach: very spacious, enough space for each. Lots of palm trees and plenty of shade. Plenty of pool chairs available, you can put the, where one would like because so much space. Beach could be better maintained, but OK Room: very large and beautiful, we had seaview, great view of the sea. Bathroom was very big with a separate shower and toilet. Cleanliness: actually very good, had a bat and a huge bugs in the room but when you call from housekeeping, they are always there to help ☺ Area: two pools, plenty of space, large room, breakfast buffet, super ..., always had a seat. Staff: very friendly and helpful, many of the newly introduced, but mostly worked without any problems. Guests: many British, arabs, Asians Location: many restaurants, and also many shops, but mostly the same, not with KOH Samui (chaweng beach) to compare) The offer were special clothes and friendliness of the people on langkawi is not as in Kuala Lumpur. May is usually not bad but are not very interested in english something to sell. read more

The hotel is built in the style of a Malay village-centred has is with 4.5-star flair and evaluated. We have us staying here and we could really relax in Asian sun. It is to a nice large hotel area with a lot of wooden houses (maximum two floors), garden with two lakes, as well as two pools and several restaurants. Each day to 16 hours a walkabout takes place-you should take quiet. We booked a Deluxe room with Lake view-and had a nice corner room on the second floor with a huge balcony received. Noise problems have seen by ... the neighbors neither we nor the generators. The room is very large, the furniture already older but something totally OK only complaint about the room is the air conditioning in, on the bed is exactly the addressed. The Minibar is refilled daily and is when booking all-including in the price as well as the room service costs. We booked all inclusive aware, since in the upscale resorts (this experience we on Bali) also for the drinks and snacks during high prices will be charged. And with the heat one is always thirsty and want cheap also not only the water. We have to regret booking the all-inclusive package in the TUI not on, the restaurants (international, Malaysian, Chinese, Thai, Indian) with the drinks and food were great, you can use them all, everything was ordered à la carte, you must sign the Bill and paying but not. The hotel has a quiet impression, entertainment is not it. It is a volleyball field but were not enough guests. You can water polo, table tennis, squash, and play billiards. It is a business center with Internet access. The SPA at the edge of the resort looks beautiful inviting, only the prices are extremely overpriced. We used the outside of the hotel area SpA's (Alun Alun -very to be recommended). The TUI travel agent made no impression on us Gudrun professional. Almost only english it gives tours, although on this island also people live, take the speak German and tours. Speaking after a mangrove tour, which was very beautiful was, then we still booked a private tour in the German language, with its better to the island of langkawi legends to learn knowledge and understanding. Only by reading the guides you also not everything important.
