The hotel is the only place to spend the night in the surrounding area or besides the hotel there are no houses or a place. Next place in a distance of 30km and this very small. The bungalow was large and clean. Nice location. The beach is great and lonely. The water was very clean. We were for the diving and that was also very nice there. Unbelievably large corals, nothing broken. But unfortunately not that much fish. The food is enough but no more. The staff however friendly and helpful. In summary should not expect too much, however therefor ... you have the lonely location and beautiful dive sites. read more

Mosquitoes and chiggers certain the vacation, a genuine pestilence. We and also other guests had rats in the bungalows, which clothes and shoes zerfraßen. The extremely arrogant sales manager; rather with its appearance busy; did nothing, there was no apology. To our insistence, we could some, still in heartbeats clothes, for cleaning when you leave. This happened only reluctantly, it was called you smell yes not at all after rat. The dinner is only edible (buffet as in the cafeteria ), even if it every day chicken gave. For breakfast, there is eggs, eggs, eggs. (i. d. r. gray green ... scrambled eggs) The only 'restaurant ' on the complex is bad and costs extra. The bar, which was there is with the 10 tables completely at the limit. The hotel was top notch. The equipment you had to before each dive, always again just arrived boat from other divers get. You had to be lucky, a matching diving suit to get. Part of the equipment, however, was new. Overall you felt like on a bad campground, as also benefits the beautiful diving spots nothing. For us and our friends certainly the first and the last time. read more

If you want to dive or hiking is, is well cared for here. Otherwise one was lost here. The next larger town is 2-3 hours away. Activities does not exist. On the beach there are ten beach chairs. The food is edible but nothing special. read more

During our journey through Cuba we put a stop in María La Gorda a, where we could very well relax. We spent three nights in a bungalow in green surroundings. Next to the hotel there are in the area not much. It is therefore Mary la Gorda perfect for peace searching, the a few relaxing days at the beach or in the sea diving want. read more

We inhabited one of the bungalows in the forest behind front desk. One came over a wooden jetty the individual houses, all very large and with a pretty balcony had. We had two broad beds, which one could push together, a small table with a armchair and even a TV. The bathroom the room was OK and clean. it was very quiet and the privacy was also given, located in a bungalow just a room and this far enough from.

  • Gastronomy
    4.0

There was a buffetRestaurant, in which the breakfast and half board also the dinner is served, and an à la carte restaurant at the beach. We had only breakfast and Assen evenings in the served restaurant. The choice was relatively small, there was especially fish, crayfish and a variety of pizzas. But we were always full, and the pizzas were a welcome variety on rice, chicken, and beans, the Cuban national dish, we very often than during the trip only food ☺ Next to the restaurant on the beach, there was a bar with different types rum, wine and beer reasonable prices.

  • Service
    4.0

The employees at the front desk spoke next to Spanish English and most of them with questions friendly information. the staff in the à la carte restaurant was top; always very accommodating and helpful. the cleaning of the rooms was OK, we had nothing to complain about.

  • Sport & Entertainment

The hotel has a dive center, with diving and you snorkel Equipment hire. Three Times daily there was a diving excursions by boat, where snorkelers could ride. The snorkeling but almost from the beach better, as the fish very close to the banks ran arrived. Furthermore, the hotel hikes in the area at. apart from that there was in the hotel no entertainment, fortunately no animation or something like that. You can but evenings in the bar great with other guests of the hotel entertained.

the hotel lies lonely direct at the beach by María La Gorda. Far and wide only water and sand, the next a larger town hours away. The drive by car pinar del Rio on Sandino of is long and adventurous. The condition of the street became worse and worse, the further we Sandino behind us. It went through a few small village and intersections without signs. At the same time, the area was always beautiful, we drove through forests and along the coast. Exactly the right for a few days relaxation. the beach at the hotel is dreamlike and the sea crystal clearin the diving, snorkeling or hiking the time spent here was great.
