It has beautiful bungalows, but no air conditioning and no tv possess. A large bathroom. The complex is generously, on the one side of the river on the other directly the sea. The drive was somewhat difficult either with boat or plane. read more

The lodges is located between the channel and the Caribbean. It is located in the middle in the jungle and is lovingly laid out. The Mawamba park in the garden the lodges with butterfly on breeding, turtles, frogs and iguana is very recommendable. The rooms are simple but practically equipped. A closet you need not, since you were passing through. We had full board. The food was sufficient and good. On the fruit salad there were insects, which is not surprising in view of the weather there. You just walk leads and it is good. read more

Typical durchgangshotel hotel with bad food, little motivated Maid, but nice located in the national park. The rooms not much, no closet, no cooling opportunity, a small bathroom, but it was already in such a way. The restaurant with its food output unit (no selection possible, preferably) is a disaster. Clean, but quality at low levels, both for breakfast, as well as the other meals, slow and partly unfriendly staff. Therefor it is located directly on the natural beach and the hotel's own natural garden is really nice. The small bar was ok, but for the caribbean side are the ... cocktails nothing Special. read more

Book, as with all the other lodges at around an entire package leona, which means, check-in and check-out including boat, full board, One of the channels and in the national park, are included in the price.
The Mawamba lodge is located on a narrow strip between the caribbean and the channels.
The lodge in green surroundings, with simple rooms in bungalows in timber construction, is the ideal starting point for excursions in and around the national park.
The hotel offers a swimming pool, a nice garden, as well as a frog and butterfly park.
the rooms are quite simple, comfortable ... beds, Ceiling fan, some wood shelves on the wall, windows with screens.
The bathroom met its purpose.
But the half rusty Safety deposit box (mentioned above) in the bathroom had to search, will remain a secret.
With about 20 minutes walk along the beach, the colorful village to reach leona, it offers exceptional much.
The beach is black volcanic, swimming is however because of the oviposition the turtles prohibited.
The boat trips on the canals are really very nice, a unique fauna and flora.
The food, which was offered in buffet form, was good in choice and quality.
Coffee, tea and water was free, alcoholic beverages, such as beer, for the price of four american dollar and wine five american dollar, were not cheap.
The service and the room cleaning were ok.
In our 15 people counting international group (d, f, ch, nl, us) the three days we had fun and our guide was great monica.
Punta leona was' picture book weather ' a highlight of our trip to costa rica. read more

Very nice lodge. Simple, clean rooms and friendly staff. Very good organization of travel guide. A beautiful pool which the kids used have, since swimming in the caribbean was not possible. The trips are recommended, especially in the morning. Food is wide and everything tasted delicious. The drinks at the bar too expensive. read more
