Very beautiful hotel, very well maintained facilities. The guests came mainly from the USA and Canada, a few from Germany. There were shopping possibilities right at the hotel. read more

    In the hotel there was a large main restaurant (restaurant Yucatan- buffet with international cuisine) and beach restaurant. Even if you late to eat is, everything is sufficiently available.     The staff was very good, quite fast, attentive and very friendly. With english and spanish, of course you got along well. German speaks here as well as none, but for us was of course, finally, we are in central america. Only with the travel guide you could speak german. We had no complaints, therefore we don't know how the situation.

    Entertainment was not intrusive. Every night there was a live band. Unfortunately every evening the same music. Here one could for more alternation concerned. The offered shows were unfortunately also very monotonous. Here was only the acrobatics show exciting and interesting.     The transfer time from the airport takes about 1 hour. By bus (colectivo ) or taxi, the directly in front of the hotel were, one is about minutes in Playa del Carmen (costs indicated colectivo 35 pesos p. p per way). In Playa del Carmen you will find numerous shops of all kinds (clothes, restaurants, bars, souvenirs). To Tulum it was about 20 kilometer, to coba about 80 kilometer, to chichen itza about 200 kilometer. trips could be booked with the tour operator or on your own. Thanks to the excellent location of the hotel you can very exciting and many go on excursions. We recommend on own fist, indicated colectivo to Playa del Carmen to drive. The main shopping street 5. avenue runs parallel to the beach. Famous clubs are coco bongo, Bali club. With a colectivo you can also leave to the ruins to Tulum -costs indicated colectivo 35 pesos p. p per way. Tulum ruins are 8a 17 open. Inlet about 50 pesos. The ruins are right next to the sea - very nice! We have also two organised excursions to chichen itza and coba were made. The lunch be careful! If you like adventure, should definitely the xplor park visit. Xplor is nearby Playa del Carmen. Admission costs us 104 $, the money is however well laid out! Here you can funicular (zip-line) drive, with amphibians vehicles through the caves drive, in a cenote /cave swimming, cave rafting experience. Food and drinks including 75 us $can one also all photos on a usb buy. You can also amongst others adopted go on excursions: Xcaret-lalandia water Xel-Ha - kid-friendly water park, snorkelling, swim with the dolphins Hidden worlds-snorkeling, cenote abseiling, zip-lining, cenote diving Nature reserve sian Kaan Ek balam

It was already so much about the hotel reported, that i many positive things only confirm kann. There was nothing to criticize at the hotel, the beautiful and super well-kept. Also the rooms. Internet worked in of the lobby super, without any problems. We are just very few german met. It was spoken excluding english. There the complex very big is, frequent small shuttle buses around. read more

    The room seemed very welcoming, if you the 1st entered. Balcony is available, we have however so well as not at all use it, since we the evenings in the bar to have spent. There you will learn nice people and there is a pleasant atmosphere. The air conditioning runs beautifully quietly and cools pleasant.

And every day sat a new animal, folded from towels, on our bed. The pleasant was, that it really none on tip out was. One has from the work of many hardworking staff appreciated. And all for heart thanks.

    The connection to public traffic is super. You need only the beginning the main street to please. There are all 5 minutes colectivo buses past, with which you very cheap in the next village drive. Restaurants outside of the hotel were not important for us, as we were all-inclusive holiday.

The complex, the altogether 3 hotels belong, is huge and leaves no wish open. You need a bit, to find your way, the spacious design loses the masseneindruck, everything is relatively anonymous. The audience consisted predominantly of canadians. The staff speaks perfect english and some french. Hacienda area is recommendable, if more individuality upgrades. The themed restaurants are super-preferably not after 20:00 o'clock reserve. The staff in the restaurants and bars altogether really makes an effort, partly but also very rushed- Nevertheless always friendly. Leisure facilities we hardly used, since the holiday at the end of a very interesting ... but very stressful trip took place. Great for snorkeling, but definitely take flip-flops. read more

Spacious facilities, in which everyone will be happy Accommodation not top currently, but spacious rooms, decent bathroom. Buffet restaurant not always satisfactory, food repeat itself regularly, often only lukewarm. But 11 à-la-carte -restaurants, the really recommendable are, 3 times per week included. Everywhere in writing to appropriate clothes asked, but it does not control. This leads unfortunately often too unpleasant look at. A great stay with beaches like in paradise. We also still the associated hotel akumal and coba were looked at, but the Tulum is best. Real a great complex with a great beach and pool, that we not at all everywhere swim could. Lots of colorful fish, only 30 centimeter away from the beach and in the village of akumal we even with turtles and rays floated. There were drawbacks only whilst eating, but if you 3 times per day for 1500 people cooks, it can also not be perfect. The cocktails were ok, but unfortunately there were 3 rainy ... days. All in all, i can this hotel for a relaxing beach holiday highly recommend! It was really great! read more

The whole hotel area was huge. We have not at all everything saw. Between the various installations drive small trains for free back and forth. The vast number of the vacationer comes from USA, Canada and britain. The german vacationer are clearly in the minority. We have neither the related noise or other annoyances tourists experienced. read more

    The rooms are not a standard 5 stars, but quite sufficient if you consider how much time you in the room spends. We found annoying the charge of 5 Dollar a day for the safe. You have to at the front desk a castle with keys rental. The safe is big enough. We have all stow,. A coffee maker with all accessories is in the rooms and a mini bar really refilled daily with beer, Cola, Fanta, orange juice, snickers and nibbles. The cleaning lady conjured up daily new figures from handstüchern. Also without explicit request every day fresh towels ones. The rooms are with tiles, the i think hygienic.

Of chinese, beef fillet, serano ham and a gigantic dessert buffet there is virtually nothing that not 2 kilos on the body brings. The table is always clean presented, the waiters extremely friendly and not tip orientated. To the beverages i can only say, there is felt 50 cocktails. The hotel is part of a larger hotel complex. So during the rainy season not excitement, because one is comfortable a small train the complex drive and the other hotels and whose services can be used. I was here in August 2 weeks with my husband. It was a disappointment. Particularly negative we noticed the absolutely not animal attitude of the dolphin in the small swimming pool. The animals did I just feel sorry for you. This hotel I would absolutely not recommend. read more

In this hotel are 6 dolphin in a tiny pool jailed! The sea only 20 meters away and the animals are sad and even ill: '( In the hotel brochure with no mention, that a ' Delfinpool ' to the hotel belongs. This pool is just estimated 20 meters long and 4 meters deep! Please do not drive to the hotel! However, if you should be, sperchen, please contact the hotel managers there, that these conditions terrible find! read more

We are a very sports and tierbegeisterte family! The more we were shocked, as we dolphin in a Betonbecken, in other words pool discovered, the amusement of the hotel guests should help. Our kids 11 and 14 years the dolphin dearest exempt! How do you explain intelligent children what such a attitude of these mammals justifies?! The vacation was run, as my children constantly the desperate votes dolphin not more endure could they wanted on the next day back home. - we, my husband and I by the way also! In short: Imagination in sports and animation offered, excursions for ... children, and please no cruelty more! read more

We were 1 week in Mexico this hotel is simply a dream respectively the Bahia hotel chain in the same we were already in the DOM. Republic this hotel you can no matter wether young or old without concern recommend it. I would now really nothing found something to complain about. Simply super! Excursions we have 2 made 1 to coba and Tulum both worth seeing and nice, and coba for a Schwitzer like me a crazy is definitely veil and 2 T-shirt mitnehmem. 2 trip went to Chichen Itza and then bathing in a Cenote ( very pleasant) this ... was the easing of trip, not so much March. read more

The Gran Bahia Principe is very spacious and consists of several hotels named Tulum, coba and akumal. There is a fourth area, the golf course with the appropriate accommodations. The hotel is very recommendable, that for all leave entitlements leaves nothing to be desired, if you don't mind the minority between Americans, Canadians us Spaniards to be. In the section of the beach of the hotel 'Tulum' is swimming in the sea not possible, since the breakwater and the rocky soil of this not allow it. Since we last year at the same time in the hotel were, we had again a great vacation expected. The staff were still very friendly and dedicated, but due to obvious Personaleinsparungen worked in Tulum buffet restaurant the Speisennachschub bad: there was anytime again many empty plates and waiting times. Also the service at the tables was not smooth. 3 service staff are simply too little around for over 20 tables drinks to bring, clearing and resetting (, although everything was organized and was worked as in the chord ). The hotel advertise still with his eco-Bahia-commitment (Foundation for the ... preservation of the environment ). But how credible this commitment is still, if one sees, that dolphins in a small pool caught and kept either several times daily during swimming and Kunstprogrammen with tourist groups tortured or individual tourists whole day long 'trained' be? ( and the Eco -staff this could dolphin-Project not prevent, it was a management decision ) We were very disappointed, that the hotel so negatively has developed and be therefore no vacation more there. read more
