A wonderful small personally managed hotel! The breakfast buffet a poem -everything as what you can imagine- even baked cakes- tomatoes mozzarella -cheese- Wildschweinschinken -salami - fresh fruits- egg dishes after wish freshly prepared from the mom- also in the morning already song sings -great location for breakfast the outside wide view in the Tuscan countryside. Coffee or Cappuccino will freshly prepared and brought to the table - room great large and clean also the pool outside with a terrace and loungers -great location also for excursions to the toskana. Son there is also recommendations for restaurants and recreation for ... environment. We would gladly come again and have ourselves super recovered in spite of the short stay. We can only recommend the hotel. Everything is clean, the breakfast extensive, the view a dream. Most of the warm type of boss much. For sightseeing is the location of the hotel ideal-journey time to Siena and Pisa about 1 hour. In very warm from Mother and son guided hotel with its about 13 rooms is a very good choice. A very beautiful and relatively small hotel untergrebracht in an old mansion on the 'bottom' of volterra. We had a great time in the villa Rioddi. The atmosphere was very familiar and warm. The son of the house speaks English, the remaining persons only Italian. It is very hard, so there is actually no language barrier. The rooms are a good size, with a powerful air conditioning and a flat screen tv, and in-room safes, and Mininbar equipped. Small but nice. The house consists of only 17 rooms and is very family managed. You feel like you are guests in the Italian mummy of the house as at home immediately. The room was large, the bed was comfortable, very quiet location. The breakfast is absolutely great and highly recommended. There was everything the heart desired (fresh fruit, sausage, cheese, muesli, cappuccino, espresso, normal coffee, orange juice, but things such as scrambled eggs fresh from Mom prepared, Bruschetta). The town of volterra leads unfortunately only a very steep walk (about 20 minutes) by car is a five-minute walk ... and there is free parking in volterra. But the hotel was so nice, that the long road to volterra was worth it. Unfortunately, there were no extra towels for the pool towels as to think. And after our holiday we can join us only in the list of positive feedback.
