A real Märchenpalast, despite the renovation is somewhat older. The change of the former Intercontigruppe now Ritz Carlton has still sand in the gears, in particular in the service area of the restaurant. The dishes were tidy prepared and delicious, but the dinner buffet with almost 60.Euro per person completely overpriced. Value for money ( in particular as regards variety and variety the food) right here not match. Next to the main restaurant there are merely the Seapavillion (à la carte-more expensive) and a Chinese restaurant. too few for such a resort., since in the surroundings no restaurants are ... available, without a car you can't walk, last shuttle bus after Muscat at 16:00 o'clock. If you look at against the hotels the cards allemeines believe, the Oman, in particular, the Al bustan palace of Ritz Carlton group still tidy improve. read more

Our first stay at the al bustan at exceeded our expectations. The hotel has a unique lobby and clean however not too big room. This really impressive is the garden and pool area, it never crowded or busy. All together very relaxing and perfect for a few quiet days. Average age in the hotel is around 30 to 45 years, partly also families with children. We have the room with a view of the sea booked, really recommendable. In addition breakfast and evenings in one of the restaurants eat out. read more

    As already mentioned, the rooms are good however nothing special large. Surprise was, that the mini bar ( non alcoholic) free was also not self-evident in a hotel this class. Rooms are besides that very clean, only the above air-conditioning devices problem was slightly annoying. The balcony with a sea view is small, but the view compensated for it.

    The breakfast was very good, even if I have already significantly larger buffet seen. But the quality right. Same goes for evening buffet in the restaurant by the pool. Kitchen style rather arabic, partly west, which altogether in a country such as the Oman but also should be. Also in the restaurants a relaxed atmosphere.

    Service was altogether good, however with potenzial for improvement. The staff are all extremely friendly, if you ask for directions ask, you will generally accompanied. We had however some problems with the airconditioning in the room, which in several attempts by technicians ended. German is partly spoken, but since we had no expectations. Altogether the staff were always helpful, also with special wishes or questions.

    The pool is unique, not crowded and a dream. The service in the area was very good, towels are directly on the beach chairs, you get a cooler with chilled towels and water, what we found to be very positive. The beach is for omanische standards okay, we have the pool preferred. One could do sports in the gym make, all device are very new and perfect. Further positive surprise, the basis access to the internet was free, only the high speed internet has access extra cost. This is not self-evident in the middle east, not in five star hotels.

    The location is unique, because there is no disturbing neighboring hotels returns. Nestled in rocks, the bustan in a bay, the hotel beach is 1 kilometer long directly adjacent then again beach, but is empty. At the beach directly one sees no other hotel, only into the inland will 2 other hotels built. Muscat is 10 minutes' drive away, the airport however 30 to 45 minutes. In the direct neighborhood there is no mall or shops, which I personally but extremely pleasant was. If you want to experience more, drove to muscat and the souq go. Day trips are from the hotel offered.

The Al bustan is also after it's renovation very impressive. The lobby is now however very cool and sterile earlier at the occurrence of a real Orient feeling. The standard rooms are nicely decorated, also big enough, however it smells almost all areas musty. First on the upper floors it got better, but even there was the bed linen constantly damp. What I noticed was, the even after the renovation the bathrooms not up-to-date anymore are. In such a hotel are shower curtains actually a no-go. Our suite was great, on the 7 floor located with wonderful view on the ... ocean. Room service was very good, the cleanliness went reasonable. Won particularly the outdoor area from the construction, the quite small pool from once yielded a beautiful pool area, the gorgeous is. The breakfast was good, the quality first class. If the hotel the problems with the humidity not in the handle is the hotel soon mold be coated. To this price this should not happen. The use the mini bar is very nice, and in one of the suites free internet access. The Omanisierung is commendable, however arise service problem, the mentality another. At somewhat further distance is just the spa building, it is very nice, but too far away from the hotel. Al bustan have to watch his 1. capacity at the Al husn to lose, nevertheless it is worth a trip. read more

    the rooms could be larger. Our room with'garden-view 'had'parking-view '. The minibar is with free non-alcoholic drinks filled (or should it be; on arrival she was empty and was only after complaint filled). The bathroom is also rather small; Dusting is probably not the case of the staff.

This palace is every one of its stars. Compared to the neighboring Al husn 1 kilometer long waits a rd., quiet, sandy (some small rocks) the beach, for swimming invited. The spacious laid out, very well maintained garden area with a large swimming pool (separately swimming pool for the children also available) offers enough room and comfortable for relaxing. The Marina is very good and worthy of the name. On the other there was a restaurant at the beach with adjoining the outside lounge, in other good tasting fish dishes are offered. If you want, can evenings in the case ... torchlight at the sandy beach sit. Also here the service friendly and accommodating. In the main restaurant there were theme evenings. In the bar in the hall are luxurious excellent cocktails served. We enjoyed our change in this' hotel ' we didn't regret it. read more

The hotel is under new management. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The beach and pool were fantastic. The guest is effectively the king. In important state guests will be discreet surveillance by police or military everything. There are no restrictions for those guests read more

We had a free upgrade to a room with direct pool access. A beautiful room, carefully decorated. The food (breakfast, lunch & dinner) was excellent. The staff attentive and very friendly Unfortunately there were two small incidents. -Siphon despite not repaired. -Reservation sedan for the return trip to the airport was forgotten, a replacement could not be made read more

    Our repeated stays the staff were always attentive, helpful and very friendly. The special favorites not only our children were salim and his colleagues, the service staff in the pool area and at the beach. Dedicated, entertaining and friendly they gave us each desire fulfilled.

When you enter the hotel you get the feeling a cathedral to enter. There is a slight Weihrauchduft in the air and the lobby due to the size and height but very. We found the hotel not as pretentious, as wood and marble and gold was not used. We had a Deluxe room with sea view, the balcony was comfortably furnished and we had a wonderful view of the bay. The room was relatively large and tastefully furnished with a desk, sofa, armchairs and a table, two closets and plenty of storage space. The bathroom was not very large but ... is adequate. After 1 week trip through the interesting, but very sparse country, was the large green gardens a feast for the eyes. There was no shortage of pool chairs, so that all of his favorite spot later in the day could find. The service was very attentive and every employee greeted warmly crossed the path. We have twice in the beach restaurant excellent fish and the prices can be with DT. Cities compare. We found the price/performance ratio in order. 1 time we stayed at Seblat Al bustan, a Bedouin camp reproductions, with Omani food eaten, which we felt was very touristy and if you travelled through the country is, you can get a gift. There is a shuttle bus connection twice a day to souq and shopping center otherwise you need a taxi or rental car. Highly recommended is the massage offer, I had a 1 hour Chinese massage and I can only say this was excellent. Overall it was a nice, quiet and relaxing stay in a beautiful environment that is recommended. read more
