Very well arranged hotel, in the shape of an u, 270 rooms. Perfect condition and cleanliness. All inclusive offer leaves no wishes open. Very good international selection of drinks. Everywhere is wi-fi available-free of charge, worked very well. Americans and kanidier make about 80% of the guests from the remainder mostly german. Facilitities are only from 18 years-so no children. read more

    Fantastic room, functional decorated, great bathroom. Coffee machine and plenty of coffee available. Nice balcony with, depending on category, chairs or chairs and couches is equipped.     Super simple brilliant. It begins at the front desk on, mr.. Freddy, the also spoke german well, is the friendliness in person. He is, where he can, always helpful. Particularly to mention i would like the 2. restaurant manager Johann, the perfect, always very politely and correctly to the needs of its guests. This man could at any time in a renowned hotel in Europa work. Our butler pastor was the fähigste its guild. If he put something in their hands took, if he organised, you knew that it works and works. Near the other butlern was the not always so. Unfortunately, there was a not so nice incident right at the beginning of our stay, the the management friday Melissa burton and the director Stefano bartelli to our complete satisfaction out of the way. Thank you again for this. We were already 3 time in the grand and it is better every time. We have also a 4 time. Room service, minibarservice always worked great. The maids are sometimes a bit lame. The cleaning was once completely forget, most days they came too late. The quality the cleaning depended on the respective maid service. Communication with the maid almost not possible as they only speak spanish.

    The entertainment team schlurcht from 10:00 by the complex and tried quite unmotivated the guests for for example archery, Boccia, darts and so on. To inspire. In the evening in the theatre daily at 10:00 p. m. shows. We saw the tropical show and the boogie-nights show. Perfect. A great band live plays. Sometimes i thought this is earth, wind & fire live. The shows by the boss of the animation team bart moderated and supports. Bart is great. The windjammer, which is situated in the hotel is, is below deck a disco. The loungers are nothing special, most also broken. There are comparable hotels for example Bali-beds at the beach or more comfortable chairs. The oceanfront rooms should be, as well as in other hotels this category usual, a separate stretch.

Unfortunately, we were only a week in the outstandingly beautiful grand hotel bavaro. I have my arm broken and we had to leave early. We have from the manager, mrs Melissa sue burton and their staff any support. You took good care of us! The hotel is 100 percent recommended. Cleanliness and friendliness are not to beat. The food is excellent. Not in vain the best all inclusive hotel in the cathedral republic, as to read was. We are definitely coming again! read more

Honestly. I could really complain about that most people to complain have. I have the feeling, that most people travel around the hair in the soup and that is just sad. At the search for a rust stain you have probably forget, that you in paradise have a vacation could. From the first moment the dom republic as guests warmly welcomed. The hotel and the service has every day even exceeded. They were always accomodating and accommodating to us. No matter which wishes we had, they were us gladly fulfilled. Such a great atmosphere, so many Friendly faces. Alone that ... would be worth a trip. Our honeymoon were just Just beautiful. I am pleased when we will stay there! read more

Clean, well maintained and for the Dominican Republic rather smaller adult-only 5 star resort with a total 272 suites different categories. There are two buffet-and four à-la-carte-restaurants, five bars, a large pool area, a gym, a spa, a theater, and various shops. The facilities of the neighbouring Iberostar resorts can be used. The 18-hole iberostate bavaro golf club is in the immediate vicinity. All-inclusive, unfortunately with bracelet. Mixed guest structure, mainly guests from the USA, a few german and eastern european guests. read more

    There are a total of 272 suites different categories: 241 junior suites with a garden- or side view of the sea (both about 45 square meter large), 19 swim out junior suites with garden views and a private pool access (in the left, rear wing location, sun from about 3:00 p. m.) and 12 grand (ocean front) suites with about 70 square meter and direct sea view. All rooms are tastefully decorated. Bath with whirl bath tub and separate shower, double sinks, hair dryer, bathrobes and slippers. Sleeping area with iPod Docking-Station, flat-screen tv, free wi-fi internet access, individually controlled air-conditioning, a large minibar, coffee-tea making facilities, and safe. And the (small) drawbacks (the us personally really bothered): We had on our trip for the first night of a junior suite with a view of the garden and for the remainder of our stay a swim-out junior suite. In the first room was missing the wifi-module and the furniture had clear signs of usage (table, bedside lighting...) , the worst was however the extreme mildew smell of the noticeable damp room. From the side of the housekeeping was only with duftlampen response, helped the little. Our swim out room was not so bad, but smelled still much mildew. Fault was the little efficient and of a motion sensor controlled air conditioning. So you could never over an extended period decently cool and the air dehydrate. A quiet sleep or stay on of the terrace switched the air conditioning and the electricity after a certain time from. So, or had daily the completely damp sheets to be changed, chewing gum or candy were after a few hours from the humidity resolved, the complete clothes in the closet was almost wet and smelled of the stay unpleasant. Also the furniture, especially in the bathroom showed already clear korrosionserscheinungen. The numerous duftlampen throughout the zimmertrakt suggest, that this is a general problem.

    There are six restaurants and five bars: Bella vista and in the beach restaurant the food in buffet form presented. The selection left good quality (especially breakfast and dinner at the bella vista ) hardly any wishes open, here there was really everything (daily and in abundance), including, huge steaks, Hummer, crabs, different fish... Unfortunately, most of the chefs' dead ', but with a little initiative you get everything as you want it. The experience in the à-la-carte restaurants were different: The food el galeón surf & turf restaurant was completely cold and the Hummer, the krabbenscheren and the prawns so overcooked, that one hardly still a bit from the tanks of animals has received. Also bad, if the hummerzangen for the convenience actually too small and hummergabeln not at all are available, so the shellfish-starter (as mixed seafood platter offered) only with full physical exertion and plentiful improvisation restauarant. Most of the guests left lack of possibilities surprised the most back, sad and unnecessary! This was then also still the poor service (see above). Completely different the service and the food in the italian tentazione and in the japanese hashira restaurant: fast friendly, hard to please the guests and are the food was good, although not exceptional. The teppanyaki in hashira was also nice to look at, only the extreme course of the air circulation was unpleasant. In the 'gourmet restaurant' le tourbillón unfortunately we didn't have got them. In all restaurants as a part of the all-inclusive a really extensive (bottles) wine list: here one can between numerous (edible) international white-red and roseweinen choose, there are also various (good) cavas (no champagne as offered everywhere) to the selection. Against an extra charge there are still various other wines and champagnes. Of the existing bars we only the lobby bar try, nice service, many international alcoholic beverages, good mixed drinks. The cocktails but were all inedible, too sweet, partly much too much alcohol and hardly had a remotely with the original to do! The facilities of the neighbouring Iberostar resorts can be used, which we but we didn't make use of it have.

    Fast and friendly check-in and check-out. Thorough housekeeping including turn down service, very friendly service in the italian tentazione, in the japanese hashira, dinner at the bella vista buffet restaurant and in the lobby bar. Very nice, almost übermotivierter service at the beach. Service at of the pool bar and in the buffet restaurant at the beach sometimes friendly, sometimes absolutely unmotivated. The service in the outdoor area the bella vista buffet-style restaurant, especially for breakfast, is very superficially and noticeably 'tip oriented'. Unpleasant is the almost uninterrupted, lauthalse gossip and jokes laugh the especially male employees, embarrassing not rare, and unübermerkbare blaspheme or laugh on the a or other guests with physical or 'optical' weakness. Luckily most guests not everything... Upon what a bit annoying is, are the constant 'my friend' expressions and ' gimme five' calls. However especially the american guests seem to love. The service el galeón surf & turf restaurant was really bad: after eternal wait spoke and understood the service not a single word of english and could our order, only with the help of the spanish menu (and count the rows...) To paper. Special requests, etc.. , none. In the other restaurants was english however not a problem. One notices however, that many unskilled personnel operate. Need one many a time also once some patience ☺ The butler service was sparkling more than absolute modesty: we have our butler only once briefly at the check-in and as he our laundry back brought seen. In the end, one can but also pass, a phone call to the concierge worked reliable and is probably faster. The mini bar is with us only after request replenished, individual wishes were not a problem. Inconvenient, but american is correct the reservierungspolitik the à la carte restaurant: here you can get from the concierge a bestätigungsbon. Without this bon (even if on the reservation summary is) no entrance fee! Even if short-term food and the restaurant lots of places: without bon no chance.

    Beautiful pool landscape with three pools, a activity pool, two hot tubs, a swim-up pool bar, a large gym and a two-storey spa. Various activities such as water polo, beach volleyball etc. Are offered. On the Iberostar grounds is the 18-hole iberostate bavaro golf club. Actually good and high-quality equipped gym, unfortunately were almost all equipment was in a desolute condition, often not fully functional and the part many rusty! Unfortunately from the management tolerated, the reserving of pool chairs (in the form hadn't experienced). Already at 7 o'clock finds one around the pool not a single shady place more. All Cabanas and most of the beach chairs were (or are apparently against cash from the staff) taken. Often you can see the whole day no person on the reserved seats. The hotel management but that seems to care. Noticeable only, that many Cabanas every day the same people were occupied... However at the beach there were always enough (quiet) places and plenty of umbrellas. That served us perfectly. Varied evening in the hotel's theater. As we have heard, of good quality. We have the theatre but not visited. Annoying is the pushy ' voranimation' in the lobby bar, you hardly able to escape. Comfortable a drink then at 10:00 p. m. enjoy. Because of the strong wind was of the terrace or the music bar on the spanish galleon during our stay uncomfortable.

Unfortunately the internet speeds on our room not the best. On demand the director told this us with the one currently working on improving the speed on the rooms works.     The rooms are modern and practical. We had a room the garden above of the kitchen (7377). Here it came before the meal times and to light noise pollution by a fume hood. But as we were hardly in the rooms were we have one of the travel agents offered room change not carried out. Therefore also full score.     The friendliness from the staff our view. Many waiters are hard a few words to learn german. With english and a few words in spanish but you always get to the destination. The cleaning of the rooms is okay, small weaknesses on the depended a cleaner push after our complaint taken care of immediately. Thus no reason for one point of criticism.

    The location is great... Top beach and absolutely well-kept complex. Before the gardeners you can only the kudos, since we no hats wear ☺ we then gladly also times a little tip to the gardeners distributed. Airport shuttle about 30 minutes Shops are in the Iberostar-plant some available. We have some diving trips to bayahibe with dresseldivers made all were great. Thanks to the new motorway shortened the transfer about 1 hour.

For us the ' best ' vacation of the year and the already for the 4. time. It cannot be topped for a hotel in Karibik. After several try out of 5 stars hotels on uvero alto and bavaro beach feel we were in the Grandhotel Iberostar arrived. The frontdesk employees are very willing to make an effort, the wishes of their guests (booking of the room) and you will make a so-called 'regular ' very warmly welcomed. The staff in the restaurants is also hard to all the guests individually ' wishes. The kitchen leaves nothing to the imagination ... in all restaurants. Should be emphasized the buffet restaurant. If you didn't find anything there or criticized, the you can't help. Unfortunately there is always guests, who or other complain about, which a great shame is. A praise goes to all cleaning ladies, the in the morning and evenings the rooms clean -thanks for that! Not to forget also, the gardener, the very nice outdoor area clean, the strandbewachung, which ensures, that no unexpected guests the complex use. The only thing, that a little mind are some americans, which simply not behavior and not only - in the pool herumgrölen, but -believe in the evening with your badekluft in the lobby move on. The Iberostar Grandhotel is world in its guests popular. We meeting already for years totally nice people from Europa, Canada and Amerika there again. My daughter lives for years in Canada, also for you and your husband is the hotel room number 1 in the dominican republic. Thank you very much to the management of the hotel and all of the staff. The Iberostar Grand Hotel is a very nice hotel at a wonderful beach. The guests were in our travel period too many americans and russians. This has unfortunately the consequence, that the handling of tips in our opinion to exaggerated was and a lot on american standards have been voted on. The buffet restaurant offers different theme nights, only was this unfortunately not the choice the offered courses recognizable. The staff members were always (whether with or without tip) friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately the refill mini bar not always perfectly folded. The offered tours are available on the existing possibilities ... coordinated. The dominican republic is now time, not for your sights known. Altogether there was really only details to complain about. So it was a very lovely vacation and we recommend this hotel therefore gladly further. read more

The hotel consists of a u-shaped building, not as usual in the dominican republic from bungalows and we really enjoyed that. Even if it rained everywhere dryshod back. A very beautiful area for the eye very appealing, it was the architect properly unfold. read more

    Room very spacious. Cleanliness was very good. We thought at first, the closet would in relation to the space was not enough but if the things in the cabinet packed it worked doc very good. Unfortunately worked the wlan reception in the room almost never. With every complaint they told us:we are, but it was not. We are into the lobby gone, we had good reception but in the hotel description is of course something else.

Due to the large number of americans, often only kurzzeiturlaub it and more than Ballermann holiday see the fluktiation but very big and it is for the staff also not always just calm. As the people but realized that we after a week still there were rose the friendliness from day to day more and more. You were warmly welcomed, even from the chefs, we were immediately a place gebleitet, the plates was m table as With old friends. We also had the opportunity to deal with the manager (he comes from Mexico) to converse and whenever we saw him friendly welcomed and gefragter, if everything is okay.     Very nice pool area at the relaxing chairs. Children there is not, the only noise came from the americans of course, through their short length your all inclusive to use wanted and so the pool bar a kind of Ballermann made- Unfortunately early in the morning a lot of beach chairs were reserved and the partial 4 piece per couple, on which then during the day just towels.     Location of course directly at the beach and approximately 30 minutes out from the Punta Cana International Airport. We were last year in the Hotel Bahia Principe on cay levantado. We liked the hotel, unfortunately was the transfer of Puerto Plata with over 3 hours very strenuous and therefore wanted we now have a short transfer. The hotel Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro was really a better class. We found out, the very good choice had.

He who has something to complain about is, is everywhere and in every hotel find something! We were with the hotel services more than satisfied and can this hotel to 100% recommendable. The natural friendliness of the staff was exemplary! One must only seine wishes and it tries it to fulfill! Some tip makes it even easier, is however certainly not a must! We visited already for the 2. x to this absolute top hotel and it was definitely not our last stay. The staff's hospitality in the whole complex is simply stunning and even after 8 hours work. Also the entertainment team was exceptional natural and friendly. To the 1. x took even we the entertainment part, as it always some nice pool-or Strandspielchen gave. The rooms are bright and friendly designed. The bathroom has 2 commodes, a separate toilets area, a large shower and a jacuzzi with a magnificent view. On request the butler a bath. In addition everything is lovingly ... decorated and champagne is served. 2 hour Butler service, 2 times daily room service, the evenings always worked. Mini bar is daily filled up. Drinks are by the pool and beach enough. The fun Leonardo at the pool bar makes great cocktails. Strandtücherwechsel as often as you want. Suntan creams by the pool in many Faktorstufen. Wicker loungers and Korbbetten with soft comfortable Cushions under white pavilion, the however be renewed need. Beautiful big beach section, spacious pool area. Large, airy breakfast terrace. After 2009 we were this year for the second time in the Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro. This time it was still better. The Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro does what it says on the tin. As a connoisseur of the hotels in the Dominican republic (now 18 vacation) I can say. Zugegegeben, the hotel is a bit more expensive as other five star hotels in the region, but the service and the gastronomy are really very, very good. Where do you get in a all inclusive-hotel in the morning, lunch and evenings Crawfish and other delicacies? Where can you to eat ... a wine list with about 40 different pool was quite pleasant choose? Since it is to be hurt, if a wine does not available is. This service is for a all inclusive-hotel exceptionally and therefore the hotel has this review also with good reason deserves. read more

In the all in all we can the positive reviews said. We were satisfied all around and we were very comfortable. The pool area was wonderful... It was difficult to decide, whether you by the pool or at very nice beach relaxed. The food was varied and wholesome. There was something for every taste... No matter wether you prefer the european cuisine or sometimes new like. Basically we visit a hotel never twice... There are easy to many beautiful stains on the world. For a visit however definitely recommendable. read more

We were 14 days at the Iberostar Grand bavaro and recuperated. Food, service, setting for us nearly everything. In the pool were at times somewhat loud Americans, the occurrence and behavior not to the hotel fit. Some people should with your clothes better fit. Since we always at the beach lay, we are the pool out of the way gone. We will go back to the Grand bavaro and we relaxed really well. read more

In general an excellent all inclusive-hotel. Disturbing we found the short breaks (3-day trippers) from the USA here from noon until evenings referring to the so-called 'Sow-out-let' to. Appropriate Tischgarderobe and manners are probably unknown. The maintenance of an traditional Grandhotel-standard is the hotel management called for. Nevertheless we will Iberostar Grand Bavaro visit again. read more

There was in the evening too few possibilities, outside to sit. Everything happened in too strong chilled from. The atmosphere at the lobby bar and in the disco were very bad (unqualified bar and annoying entertainers). No Caraïbes-feeling! read more

Have stayed at several 5 star facilities have been ( Secrets, Amber...) Iberostar Grand Bavaro was the best. Not only the complex also the service was again and again brilliant.
