Fully uninteressanter building made from prefabricated slabs in the outdoor area havannas. But quiet and on request with a view of the sea. We had a great room, huge, with a terrace and beautiful lake view. Not really cheap, but every Euro value. After strapaziösem flight exactly the right address. On the next day with free hotel shuttle (notifiable) the city explore, brilliant. The breakfast rather boring and uninteresting, just the bare essentials to 5 *. If you are not right in the turbulent city area to stay here a good alternative. read more

Good hotel for a trip through Havanna

Melia habana offers quite for a city trip and short stay in Havanna at. The hotel is located somewhat away, the city center is however by an hourly shuttle service always good and free to reach. The staff were for cuban standards very nice and helpful. Different as in Varadero (tourist place) are here the staff already with smaller sums tip extremely satisfied. The pool area is clean and beautiful laid out, had however minor damage (like for instance missing mosaic tiles had already been broken off on the pool floor). All together the breakfast was first cream and the ... cleanliness in the room and in the different areas of the hotel always guaranteed. I the hotel can therefore absolutely recommend. read more

Good, somewhat impersonal hotel

Since the Melia Habana a very big hotel is, it looks very impersonal. Good food, large pool area, beautiful view of the sea. Unfortunately, that the hotel quite a way out of the city center is. On foot not feasible, you need the bus or after 20 o'clock a taxi to into town and to come back again. read more

After a few days round trip in the country a good hotel. The largest pool Havannas invites you to relax. Very clean complex with integrated jacuzzi. Very size, convenient designed room. The balcony with a view of the sea was more than 6 Meters long. Large, extensive bathroom. In the restaurant %%BLANK%% for breakfast like during dinner possibilities something fresh of their own. The drinks service worked a bit of an inconvenience. read more

Old hotel, was somewhat adorned, from socialistischen times on the edge of town. Lazy staff especially in the restaurant. Food rather bad, drinks too expensive, hot beer. For passing-through with late. Arrival inedible sandwiches and bottle of water. Good pool and that was it... In Havanna we have previously better hotels experienced. In short: billigeinkauf of Neckermann for passing-through. read more

We have for 3 nights in this hotel as a part of a round trip used. Is two any international five stars standard, but nevertheless the hotel was really good. The room, as well as the bathroom are very big. And everything very clean! Room and bathroom may once again be renovated. Food is good and the selection reasonable. The hotel is unfortunately somewhat outside and the beach there is unfortunately only from rocks. read more

A bit outside Havanna ( circa 7 kilometer until center) located hotel with 9 floors. We were as a part of a city break 2 nights. It is very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, even without tip. Guests of the hotel were too many Canadians and British. Food was all right. A highlight is the lift foreign at the hotel installed and a beautiful view of the city permits. The pool area is very spacious and a fitness room is also available. Cons: 1st no beach 2. far from the town center removes the high taxi ... cause. (before the drive negotiate ) read more

Were before and during the TUI round trip ' Cuba Grande' for altogether 5 nights at the Melia Habana.
The check in ran late rather slow, as the key from the room we were pressed into the hand,
Without any explanation( the lady couldn't speak English). After search the lifts we thought, we are on target.
Unfortunately, there was the room number as the key wallet noted not. Luckily our
Suitcase and the man knew our room number. The room itself is very large and relatively
Modern. The bathroom was rather moderately, however therefor very big. We had lateral view ... of the see and a balcony with places to sit. The pool has gotten a bit old, but for a cooling all
Time to use. The buffet restaurant we are not convinced: the waiters were totally unmotivated, it was always missing either Forks, knives, salt pepper or served. The food even except for a few exceptions 5 days the same, but nevertheless really good. For breakfast you could help yourself at the automat Kaffevarianten 'tap', unfortunately were from day to day more and more device except business. The variety the breakfast was absolutely sufficient.
Around into town to come (and come home) is the hotel a free shuttle bus ready (this on time sign in ).
Opposite of the hotel there is a small supermarket for beverages and snacks.
What us extremely disturbed is the always at understaffed front desk, with partly 20-minute waiting time for details was associated. The concierge was never at his place.
On one day was our room not until 18:00 made. We wanted the call radio, unfortunately
We could nobody is. Were then shortly before the dinner at the front desk and weighted,
What also noted, for the cleaning lady passed through was.
Also after dinner nothing changed-). So we were again at 22:00 o'clock at the front desk
And weighted a second time. The man was very friendly and attempted it call to the maid, reached but anyone. Thereupon attempted in bad English
To explain he manager quotes, so this our problem can accept. After repeated
Wait at the front desk we were told the manager would not time and he would then morning call. The maids would just start the room to make. When we in the room arrived
There was no one to see. After about half an hour (i. E. Nearly 11:00 P. M.) came the women and did
Their job. The call of the manager wait I still today!
Since we the round trip 2 nights in the hotel were we had to two days again check out and again
Check in again. When two tasks we were anytime again an invoice for 3 CUC submitted for
The use the mini bar. But we had the mini bar not used! After repeated explain should I
On the bill so note. -> of course we not paid!
Altogether the hotel is for a Iburg trip OK, the service is however the worst thing I have ever
When long-haul journeys experienced. read more

The hotel is located in upmarket botschaftenbezirk slightly outside of Havanna. The center is however with the taxi or coco taxi very easy to reach. There and back about 15 cuc. The breakfast buffet is excellent! Massive choice of all what your heart desires!
The rooms are clean and big.
The service and the hotel they are more like a 4 star hotel, but for Cuba a very high standard! The area is safe, you can at night as well still good onto the street go.
In the bar we often live music. Delicious drinks for 5.50 cuc be ... drunk. Internet is available, however like everywhere in Cuba very expensive! read more

Stayed as part of our round trip four nights in this hotel. In the first moment you from the bunker if you see it in the driving directions. After entering is still much friendlier. Huge lobby with a bar area, desk, Internet point du small shop on the ground floor you expect. In the basement, other shops, health club, several restaurants, buffet restaurant and access to the pool area. We had a about 30m ² large room with sea view and a good sized bathroom. The pool area is huge. The choice of food is very good, but we didn't ... find the buffet restaurant in person Melia Santiago de Cuba has promised better.
Be careful with the drinks, if the tour begins in Santiago de Cuba, these are the closer it comes to Havana is becoming increasingly expensive. Prices up higher 50%, almost European standard. read more

Despite the mostly good reviews we had during our trip in this hotel also change the room. We had half board, but it was a quick possible to find a suitable restaurant, in the you could also eat. In general, the us have served three days stay, you could explore the whole city and get to know the culture, only unfortunately the city is full of 'dirt, and dust'. read more

On the whole is the Melia Habana for a städtekurztrip very to be recommended. It is a free hourly shuttle service from the hotel to the havana vieja. The staff was super nice and attentive. The cleanliness was also very good. The pool is huge and clean. The green resort in the middle of the hotel is impressive. All in all we were very satisfied. We have a two day this hotel on a tour to havana used!
The lobby has us already blown away!
Check-in was done easily from our travel agency.
The room and the bathroom were very clean and furnished with all what you need (even a bidet)!
The food in the hotel is very good!
Also the wide range of dishes is for Cuba really great.
Have we not use the pool area, but the what we have seen, has us impressed.
All areas in the hotel are good to reach with the lifts.
The service in the hotel is also ... well. We have to call for us in the evening a taxi, for six people in the city, what has worked out great.
In the beds we have slept very well and would prefer the rest of our stay here!
To the city of havana to explore is to recommend this hotel! read more
