Hotel Silks Place Taroko ^{(5 stars)}

The rooms were very special in a modern, cool style without a lot of knick-knack or decoration. But we found the room as very pleasant and comfortable. The colors are in a bright, white tone decor, and there is also a flat screen tv, mini bar, etc. All in all very pleasant.

We used in the hotel as already said first of all the breakfast restaurant, which on the one hand very beautifully designed was the furniture. Also the dishes on the buffet were prepared very apetizing. It was delicious, and it was Taiwan trip one of the very good buffet, with enough choice for us and many things, have a western breakfast wishes. Also we were on the eve of a little to the room ordered, which was tasty and was delicious.

The entire staff was very friendly and willing to help. There was always an employee there, when you needed it. It also english was spoken.

The pool area and the gym were just amazing. Certainly one of the best pool areas, which i ever experienced. On top of the hotel there is a larger pool, several jacuzzis with different temperatures, the also be displayed and a long infinity pool, which also thermaltemperatur in the evening had. This was everything very pleasant lit and the wonderful view of the angestrahlte gorge and the pagoda. To the pools around there was also enough chairs. Furthermore, there was in the basement area a huge swimming pool, which especially for swimming was also great, however by the size the area a little cool worked. Also the fitness center, which we didn't use, but only examined, seemed very pleasant and modern.

We found the hotel wonderful. In the first moment it looks on arrival, due to the flat building, which in the middle of the gorge, a bit brusque, but at least if you can the hotel enter, the as soon as we arrived. The hotel has a pleasant size and the hygiene is very good. The design of the hotel seemed very new and very modern. We booked the hotel with breakfast.

The location of the hotel is of course spectacular as one of the few hotels (or even the only?) Directly at the taroko gorge. Around nothing but rocks and gorges. Particularly beautiful in the morning there is a walk to the pagoda and the temple, the above the hotel are. The hotel is located in addition directly at a river. In the evening a part of the gorge, which you from the roof terrace and the pools can see, from the hotel illuminated. But in such a situation would not expect, are shops or restaurants around. For a night stay, this but for us not a problem there.
