The hotel should a 5 star hotel his, this is however not to, if you have a european standard uses! The hotel is very beautiful, however not worth 5 stars! Probably the best hotel in Havanna, super great room with a view of the capitolio, not cheap but nevertheless every Penny value. The breakfast for cuban standards to exceed. We had one night from Germany and wanted spontaneously after our mietwagenrundreise again to stay the night - no chance, fully booked. So do all nights already at home book. read more

The hotel is located(like the name already says) very centrally located. You can all sights in the old town walking distance. The price i found salted. We had however nights at the time from 24,12-26,12. It was therefore a weihnachtszuschlag of 60 Euro at two days member. The meaning has not developed, since we only room with breakfast and the was nothing christmas. Every day there is the same at the much too small output, where hundreds of guests each other over the bunch of running. Coffee as in almost every cuban poor hotel. I was for tea ... drinkers. All about it in the hotel always like a pigeon loft, especially in the entrance area and also the conciergetheke to the from the reception almost everything is being delegated, is literally besieged, while the receptionists a comfortable spring make. On the elevators one waited a relatively long. While we were there, were only two of the three elevators, and when a on our floor arrived, he was already bulging. Our room was definitely reasonable, almost international standard, so kubauntypisch, but for the price must simply be. The bathroom had already here and there its macken, but everything worked. The reception the tv was bad, but the program not so weak as usual in Cuba (for example a moviekanal in english).
On the roof terrace there were a small pool, but it was difficult, two struggled to get.
Havanna itself is very special. A at his' morbiden charm ' (as our guide euphemisierte ) leave, my case it was not really so. If you Havanna but so great and accordingly also right there into wants, then you should rather in a casa particular go, the there are tons and the 8-10 times cheaper than such a hotel. We were on a stopover in Havanna also in a casa particular and it was really ok, although a little noisy because of street noise.
My thing was Havanna as mentioned not so, although listed houses and places difficult spruced up, but otherwise the whole building to the dogs. The air is a catastrophe, the haze has been brutally and completely nearby there is a refinery, a huge, smelly, black cloud rausbläst, that speiübel is.
Attractions, we also from the inside wanted to go (capitolio, museo de la revolution) were closed for renovation. Ok, bad luck.
But especially harsh was (and surely always worse), were the annoyances by taxi and kutschenfahrer, gastwirten, möchtegernvermittlern for restaurants, illegal zigarrenverkäufern & co. If you every step called, ticked off or got honked at, then it will sometime annoying. Clearly i understand, that the boys only on tourism to the hot coveted currency come, but it was nevertheless enormously on the cookie, sorry.
Crime it (still) useful not at all, therefore we never feel threatened, even if it creepy is, through the streets to slippers, where it partly so broken looks like in Beirut. But be careful: you will leave no stone unturned, to your coal closing when we received. If you for example taxis must, then don't stupid before the price proposed only times to halve. The other side is not too bad.
Further tourists-ripping you off are for example buena vista social club and bad food and tropicana cabaret. The latter is abnormally expensive and the transfer there is also-as for two loosely 180 cuc together. In addition one must even a fotogebühr there to pay, if you have a camera with you, what with tourist not so rare. The inclusive drinks were only when showbeginn distributed, before you could nice everything for them. For tropicana there is also cheaper alternatives, the more central.
Conclusion Havanna: if you in Cuba is, should you of course not miss but more than 2 days i would recommend this property to anyone. read more

A very tasteful, rustic hotel with very friendly staff. Unfortunately the jacuzzi's during our entire stay besides business. The pool was too cold. A spa as such is none available. For wi-fi must be properly be paid (circa 5 Euro for half an hour). Very good, full breakfast buffet and all a great hotel which we gladly further-recommend. read more

Havana, hotel and excursions in Havana. excellant, recommend this hotel to everyone. staff friendly, rooms ammaculate, service fantastic. and bonus its close to all tourist attractions rooftop swimming pool was lovely with wonderful views were outstanding.
we also find that the locals didnt bother us much at all when we went for a walk in the area, we find the cuba people were nothing but friendly and made us feel welcome to there city and country.
only one fault to hotel, please make sure you have enough money at the exchange, you seemed to run out of it, when we ... were staying with you read more

The Parque central is located very central. Shops, museum, bars ( amongst others Hemingway' s bar floridita ), sights etc. Everything is in a few minutes on foot very easy to reach. For longer Routes recommend bike taxis or the Coco Amarillos ( price beforehand). The hotel makes a clean, well maintained impression. Of the pool on the roof terrace you have a stunning view of a Havanna. If again Havanna, then in the Parque central. read more

Hotel is centrally located, has two (!) rooftop pools and bars, nice big rooms with two queen beds, There are two parts of the hotel, the old part, which they call the colonial part, is very nice, great lobby and staircase (with awfull music in the lobby...). Nice bar to have a drink at the end of the day. The newer part lacks atmosphere and the rooms are a bit dull, but it is more quiet.

Due to the central location we had lots of possibilities the old town from Havanna
Exploration. The Cuban music loves, can this in the nearby

We were at the hotel for 4 days and can recommend it.
View especially of the pool is great, the location of the hotel is great, parking spaces in front of the hotel.
Restaurants and small shops all around, many sights in the immediate area for example Capitol, Chinatown, old town, and so on
The rooms are clean, nice and big enough. The beds are good, as well as the room furnishings.
Wireless internet in the whole hotel available, but as in all of Cuba expensive and rather slow (with the trade embargo to do).
Basically, we must not forget ..., that you were in the Caribbean and not in Germany. If I other reviews durchlese, expect some probably too much! This hotel is one of the best in Cuba, but in Germany there would 3a 4 stars.
There are now next door a new part of the newly opened, both are connected with a tunnel.
Town center also a pool on the roof with can be used (is less busy).
For a city break the hotel is recommendable. read more
