We were very satisfied with the hotel. Too many russians, as in a hotel review described in detail, we have not seen. At least they are not (unpleasant) noticed.
Predominant part of the guests english. From the ages 50 and some families. The food we found especially good. Always everything freshly prepared. Meat, fish, cambas, nothing which already exhausted from the 'show cooking offered' on the shelves was. The selection of salads and small touches, like for instance sushi was really great. Whoever wasn't full, your own fault. We booked half board and have on the first evening at the ... bar a Piña Colada and a glass of rioja vino blanco ordered. We have scarcely 10,00 Euro paid. Steep price for a from the canister draught cocktail and one from the tap draught wine. After my husband complained he got the wine was from the bottle, but the cocktails were not freshly made and this were 6,75 Euro due. That was already really beautiful rude. But you learn by your mistakes and therefore we have our drinks not more in the hotel restaurant. Since there is very cheap drinks there is. During the day a large beer iced maximum 1,50 Euro. Mostly however only 1,00 Euro. The downside is, that it was in the corner of Tenerife almost exclusively english there, so that you could get by with english progressing better is, as with spanish.
We were 5 years ago in the neighboring hotel, the bahia princess. But we have the Iberostar as better, great pool area and fantastic view of the see and the neighboring island La Gomera, on one day we could even La Palma see.
The reserve of the chairs was really every morning a spectacle, even though in the afternoon still enough chairs were available and as we thought always, that would be typically german.
All in all we were very satisfied and may also introduce ourselves to come in a few years once again there our vacation to spend. It is however said, that nothing on in the evenings prevails, everywhere only english bars and pubs with retirees, but it is also known, that at this time of the year the canary islands older people exist. That was last year on Gran Canaria no different.
Recommendable is a visit to the casino in Playa de las Américas. There was from the hotel free tickets for admission. Taxi fares, circa 5,00 Euro.
Furthermore, i can the restaurant la reserva highly recommend, great filetsteaks with side dishes for a small price (14,50 Euro). For young people, who the hotel only night and in the morning as evenings a food of a good standard to receive, the hotel is well suited. Who however to bed early must, will the animationi quite quickly feel disturbed, the same applies to the morning, that means sleep in is because of the traffic conditions in front of the hotel not really possible (window have been, since no air conditioning). For older people sure good choice, as many excursions from the hotel be organised. For pure relaxation i would however not by accident, it would be too much hustle ... and bustle, because the hotel in the middle of the tourist mile, and also in the hotel plenty of events take place - matter of taste, whether inspired or rather annoyed. We were not for the first time in this hotel and feel comfortable. What we consider is, now perhaps once another hotel to try, is not at the hotel or at the staff:
We have for 2 people for 2 weeks half board per person altogether just under 1000,-Euro in the travel agency paid. This is for a 4 star hotel relatively cheap and probably the cause for a few the following events:
In this hotel make relatively lots of russians vacation. This means, that you after the dinner already times watch, as a guest of Russia before the ... mirror in the lift with a toothpick with pleasure in the teeth drills and not a problem this means, that the other persons in the lift to show his effort, as well as on the condition his teeth auto share. The obvious rebukes his partner disturb him not. When you a room in addition to these compatriots occupied, one has bad luck. We could from first-hand experience, as it is, if russians around midnight on your room with a bottle of Jack Daniels and these bottle 2. within a very short time empty.

In the conversation with hotel guests a neighboring 5 stars hotels hotels we experienced, that there are difficulties with the tables and the quantity of the available table-ware, and therefore to waiting times, comes. The is in this hotel not the case.
We had a completely normal room and there are quite modest, since we were there anyway not so much spend time. The bathtub and the shower head was new. We stayed at the size of the room and the bath nothing to complain about. The german tv programs (32-inch lcd -tv) are limited to the first, public. -legally. Programmes, euronews and some private channels of the austrian variant.

The pool area is an architectual success, the water has a normal temperature. Not so cold, that you don't in the pool would go, however also not so warm, that the water no refreshment would be.
There is a mini-club for children. There is with you painted, tinkered and so on
Evenings is' kennenlerne -dancing ', as my girlfriend there smirking calls, with live music, announced. The audience is to a large extent, however not exclusively, from the 'loungers-reservierern' (see above) Is accordingly the music, thus nothing for us. The beach is. Well as a beach so is. So many sand, the into the sea enough. It is about 3 minute walk from the hotel. You can lie there rent, sun screens there is also, and all 200 meters a beach bar.

We had 2 weeks booked all inclusive. Due to the short before the vacation read reviews i was a bit of panic, since the reviews of january (86%) to in september 72% sunk. The hotel looks on the first glance ok from. But when you take a closer look, you quickly feast, that the hotel in need of renovation is. The furniture is dated and the rooms are not worth 4 stars. Great holiday every day about 36 °c! Very friendly and pleasant staff and good german knowledge! The hotel is almost directly on the promenade (no 5 minutes on foot to the beach). Very many shopping, bars and restaurants along the promenade. In the evening is on the promenade always something offered. During the day one could have a lot of experience and so many go on excursions, which one right at the hotel book and they inform can.

The hotel lies in the middle of las americas, the touristic center.
