Benefits:
All in all a hotel, that I feel a einmalignen stay on Corfu want to recommend. The view is really great. Every room has a balcony with a view of the sea. As hostel for excursions the hotel is well suited. The public transport drove to Kerkyra and back during our stay relatively prompt and is really cheap. Staff are friendly and speaks German well. The dinners were all very well, until excellent.
Disadvantages:
A majority the room is small. The hotel lies at the main street. What especially annoyed, the fan was on refrigerated storage room the lebensmittelkammer ... of the building with restaurant and bar. The business made the stay on our balcony to tortour. Here must the hotel correct and measures to isolate prehension.
The breakfast against end of the season increasingly rough. The great things like yoghurt and olives fell on the last three days all away. As gastronomiefachmann /woman I would not do this.
Price:
As one it is? 1,5 liter-bottles for the daily consumption are in the lobby cheap to buy. Otherwise the food and drinks in the hotel too expensive. So was the bar evenings also quite sparsely attended.

All told everything was right. The location is nice, you have a great view, the rooms are clean and tidy.
Especially liked a lot us, that the hotel not too big was (less than 100 rooms). So it was always nice and quiet. Also resembles the hotel not the otherwise usual huge resorts, more to prison than resort look.
The hotel is in individual houses divided and thus it fits nice in the landscape. The garden is also beautifully maintained.
When we Hotel Marilena were, there was exclusively german guests in the hotel. All age groups were actually represented. read more

A wonderful in breathtaking environment. Daily shuttles to beaches in the area offered. The rental car is comfortable at the front desk ordered and also picked up there. We were in October and had only sun and temperatures over 30 degrees. The staff were always mostly friendly and helpful and always to make jokes. The atmosphere was very informal. Here say the merely three existing stars nothing about the quality of the place from. The house is very recommendable. read more

The hotel was great, the food good and varied, the staff very friendly and almost exclusively German. Definitely rent a car, there the island definitely foot must. It pleased us super and we will definitely again to Corfu travel. read more

In this hotel one begins right after pleasant and personal greeting by the front desk comfortable.
All the staff are friendly and friendly, when feel with open poor receive and welcome.
A small downside are the chairs mounted ashtrays, the smokers, invite. There all loungers very close to einanderstehen, it was with the relaxing on the sun lounger more than unpleasant if you went to the left and right of smokers eingeräuchert is. Not every non-smoker like the sun and relax.

A clean hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was nothing, dinner tasty, however always only
Lukewarm and as a dessert would be a ice 't have been bad. Wonderful was the view from the room on the sea, however very difficult the way from the beach to the hotel( steep uphill).

Naturally no handicap hotel, as all building in a steep hillside. Child care and playground not available. Very friendly staff, German and/or English spoken. The dinner was varied, only sometimes not very warm. The breakfast was not so great ( always the same sausage / cheese). read more

Have the hotel for our 1-wöchigen stay because of a recommendation and the good reviews selected. The hotel is fully the 3 stars and finally we were very satisfied. The complex, including the room were clean, the staff very friendly and German-speaking. The hotel is at the edge of pirgi and is a steep entrance from the coastal road to reach. The under the hotel the coastal road is relatively busy and at the pool respectively on the balconies/ terraces than Hintergrundgeräuschskulisse to hear, which we however not disturb me particularly. The hotel offers with you service rental cars (from ... mountain bike on scooters, motorcycles to car) at fair prices at. Mietmöglichkeiten are however also in the hotel within walking distance ( approximately 10 to 15 minutes on foot) distant location, where not really beautiful narrow beach of IPSOS respectively Pirgi ( directly on the street) is. The hotel is about 15 kilometers north of Corfu City and is a great starting point for tours. If you don't want to be mobile/and for example a Strandbadeurlaub to spend would like, should a beach further hotel search. In the case I would not pirgi choose. read more

What in the catalog, we also found as before. Bed sheets, towels were changed several times. Air conditioning worked great. The cleaning ladies were daily 7 o'clock on the way, which however didn't bother us. The view from the balcony, a dream. The hotel lies a bit above of ipsos/pyrgi and has 86 rooms, distributed on five two-and three-story buildings. The rooms and the balcony are big enough and the furnishing well-kept.
It offers a pool with pool bar, as well as a reception area with front desk, bar and lounge area. The furnishing there is very tastefully decorated and comfortable.
Unfortunately there is no shop in the hotel, to the next supermarket you have to a bit of a walk downhill run.
The guests in our travel were too many German, as well as some british and french. read more

The Marilena is a very well run hotel. The food is good and typical of the country. The balcony is because of the loud coastal road only partially to use; if the windows are closed, but it is quiet in the room. For disabled the hotel is because of the steep hillside not recommendable. Children will be little joy by the pool have. There is peace respected, a fantastic beach is not reachable. For travellers, the deal with these restrictions can be arranged, the hotel is recommendable. read more

We were the 2. the marilena, and again very pleased! The hotel has almost 90 beds, on several building are spread out. The steep slope is in any case to be taken into consideration! Is neither for children yet older people. Therefore is the average age at 20 to 50 years! The hotel offers breakfast, and half board in buffet form at! , the value for money is in any case great! Also which cleanliness and staff subject there is full score. read more

The rooms are really small, zweckggemäß furnished, without bathroom, the times extremely small is, about 14 meters². A spider and a centipede are in the room met. The corridor is very badly soundproofed, since under the door a small gap is (hence the possible animal visitors).
All together the vacation was nice, just as mentioned if you don't expect too much, and a blind eye.

The Hotel Marilena is located on a hill about 10 minutes on foot of IPSOS away. IPSOS itself is however little worth seeing. Many tourist shops and bars.
A rental car is definitely recommendable, as it Corfu many more beautiful beaches as the close to the hotel nearby is.
The hotel itself we really liked. How were friendly, very welcome. At the front desk one was always friendly and very helpful.
Also in the restaurant we were always friendly and accommodating treated. There was every evening 3 different dishes (2 times meat, 1 time fish) and various side dishes at ... the buffet. The food has us with a few exceptions always tasted very good.
For breakfast also there was always sufficient selection of bread, cakes, sausage, cheese and so on and also warm food (eggs, omelets, etc.) were always offered.
We were very satisfied with the hotel and are definitely come again. read more

The Hotel Marilena was in 2011 of HC with the title great hotel excellent. In our opinion it could for this year also reward, because we have ourselves all around felt at ease and are thrilled by the design the hotel!
Already the reception in the hotel was very lovingly designed: they offered us cold drinks and homemade cookies and explained in peace the habits of the hotel. Our suitcase were greeted by shuttle bus on our rooms brought, what really very pleasant was. Because-as in lots of reviews already described - the hotel is on a hill and so ... was the climb sometimes strenuous. We have reservation of the journey the front desk an e-mail to, that we have a bit larger room would want (so category 2). Our request was also cared for, and we have a large and very beautiful room get, which egtl for 3 people thought was! Many thanks again at this point! The room was very clean, sweetly furnished and really comfortable. So we had to the double bed a sofa (egtl the 3-te bed). The furniture reminded us a bit of the from Sissi-castle; we found that but very nice-) balcony with a wonderful view of the sea overlooking the Bay of IPSOS, free safe, toll fridge (3 Euro per day) and a bathroom, which is very clean and well equipped was, however for 2 people too small. As well as the closet. These points did not bother us but not at all! Which US however didn't bother me a bit, was, that the rooms very noisy were: of its neighbors you got almost everything with and with departure (often also in the middle of the night) it was sometimes very loud and woke up on. Otherwise found Monday and Tuesday in the town the disco and it Echos loud music to 4 hours at night to the hotel up. We had ear plugs and could quite good sleep-)
Food: the hotel offers merely half board at. Both breakfast, as well as dinner are in buffet form offered. For breakfast there were different types of bread, cheese, sausage, eggs, Muesli Counter, Curd/ yoghurt, various spreads, cakes, tomatoes, Olives, Sheep cheese, coffee, tea and juices. Many reported, that there is no fresh fruits was. There was however a fruit salad from fresh fruit; this was enough to me completely.
The dinner was great! There was although it is only few dishes - in comparison to other, larger hotels -however therefor they were of the quality and the taste was excellent! In such a way gave it each evening 1 soup, 1 fish dish, 1 meat dish, vegetables and various carbohydrate ( potatoes, rice, fries, pasta). Of course a large salad bar, at which we merely the sheep cheeses missed. And always 3-4 desserts: cakes, cakes, Creams, fruit. We wanted our salad with olive oil light and orderten this in the first days for the waiters, because it at the buffet even none. From the 4. day brought us without asking the olive oil to the table: very attentive! The service was at all very attentive, friendly and quick! Thank you very much again Spiros and his colleagues! The beverages were paid directly: 1/4 liter of house wine cost 2,70 Euro.
During the 2 weeks our stay have no Speisekombinationen repeatedly! We enjoyed in particular on Gyros, Souvlaki and salad-)
On the days, in which we stayed in the pool area, we have lunch in of the pool bar a little something. This has from 13 to 15 o'clock open ( the restaurant) and offers to good prices delicious things at: salad cost 4,70 Euro. Fries 2,70 Euro. A weinchen and magnificent views. Vacation at it's best!
Issue activities: we have on this vacation only for 1 day the car rented, to Paleokratista to drive. Everything else we have wonderful by bus away, which directly in front of the hotel leaves. A drives to Corfu City (1.60 Euro) and one after kassiopi (2,00 Euro). The buses were always on time!
The historic part from Corfu is dreamlike nice: these small streets with the nice taverns and cafés, this pretty houses with shutters and balconies, which US directly at Italy reminded, the Plaza with the restaurants and the colorful Hustle and bustle, the promenade, the small parks and many sculptures. Here is worthwhile 1 daytrip back; if not even 2!
From Corfu City from buses to all of the major sites the island. So we are here in the bus to the Sissi-Schloss transferred/achilleion. Relaxing trip; bus stops directly in front of the castle. This should in any case are visited: 7€ entry; discount 5 €.
The Bay of kassiopi is to dream and fall in love with! Here we are by bus 5 times gone for swimming and relaxation. In the morning around 9 hours los, in the afternoon at 17 o'clock back. The town itself is also worth seeing: A picturesque fishing village with nice taverns at the waterfront. The bay is however the highlight: Turquoise water, clear, no seaweeds. On the rocks it can be bearable, apart from that you could also for 7 €2 loungers with umbrella rent. This year the water pleasantly warm, so that we sometimes the whole day in the water were. We had snorkel and flowed and could so some of the underwater world admire-)
Paleokratista is probably the most beautiful place the island! The Greeks say: most beautiful place the world. The golden Fox hotel you have a dreamlike view of the Bay. Baden we wanted to but not, because the bays are very crowded and noisy. To look at but great:-)
The Island of Corfu is an island for the heart! We were now to second time and wanted to not any more way. Everything is green, the sea glows in different colors, the people are all friendly and helpful. We will next year surely come back! read more

Especially praiseworthy is the kindness and the helpfulness of the staff. Almost always will be speak German, there is a good atmosphere in the team.
The evening buffet we found really more delicious and well. There were always several meat dishes, a fish dish, side dishes and salads. Great! Tasted great! The few features showy negative comments I can't understand-and I'm a picky and demanding eater-)
The weather was end of September/ beginning of October really excellent (30 °C, no clouds, pleasant mild evenings). Mosquito repellent definitely carry forward (anti brumm ), the mosquitoes are evenings mercilessly!
Definitely rent ... a car and the wonderful island explore. Corfu I will definitely visit again - and then the marilena book!

The Hotel Marilena has all exceeded our expectations. In a publicized star hotel we expected good average and were in all areas positively surprised. The hotel is great well maintained, the pool area with the great view of the sea is top. We rarely in such a clean and well-kept hotel. The rooms are nice and tastefully decorated, the spacious balcony is also gladly to stay a while, only the chairs could have been a bit more comfortable. The view is wonderful and you can the day with a small glass of wine with a view of the sunset drink. ...
The bathroom was functional and clean, but the shower area a bit small fancy. But there was a really powerful hair dryer included.
We have a week long every day delicious feasted, the offer (half board) is very good and varied. Particularly the chocolate torte for dessert was great. read more
