Room although it is very nice (we had the deluxe room with a pool) but nevertheless mold and the ladder by the pool was (and remained after several complaints) unusable and very dangerous.

  • Gastronomy
    1.0

The food was an isolence. Everyday the same. Cold. There was only rice, cold noodles and fried potatoes. The nachtischtheke consisted of a bowl of quark, canned fruit, a cake and 5-6 small portions jelly. And the 300 guests. The ice chest would be the nightmare for every inspector. Disease guaranteed. The all inclusive drink menu consists of water and powder. We have in our lives more than 80 travel in almost all continents of the world and we are not very anschpruchsvoll but that was the last and the abgezockteste which we ever experienced.

We wanted to a quiet vacation spend and the chrispy world suitable. No annoying animation or loud disco. To the beach, where it was very quiet, it was only 5 minutes on foot. We have great excursions, directly from the bus station in front of the hotel done. With the great air-conditioned buses you could the tours at half price undertake. Have a rental car we otherwise about the island selbsttädig to explore - best conditions rental directly next to the hotel. It really pays off itself the island, ghania, balus bay by boat etc. To look at. The disadvantage ... in this hotel is the lack of any service, it is only cleared, in the restaurant and at the bar. Furthermore you have to in the restaurant partly with one-way plastic cups for beer exp. At the bar anyway ( even if you not to the pool wants) I think this is a absolute no-go! The complex itself makes a nice impression, we had a room with a balcony and a view of the pool and the sea. The view was very good. The rooms in the back range should be much older and shabby his, it plays a big role which room I on the complex received. We had via mail our desire for a balcony and a double bed advised and worked fine. So except for the lack of service and the self-service and atmosphere at the drinks station we recovered good. We had booked all inclusive, half board are the beverages with service. Oh, if you free-range ktzen mind, also in the restaurant, its difficulties. We had good value for money, this flows also with a. read more

Chrispy hotel is one of the best hotels I've ever been to. Rooms (I stayed in a superior room), lobby, restaurant and other rooms are in very good condition and clean. The staff was polite and happy to help in any situation however they didn't develop any relation with guests. As for the tourists most of them were from Germany, Britain, Poland and Greece and their type and age varied from young groups of friends to elder couples. read more

The room was clean and spacious enough. The closet was very big and could fit plenty of clothes and other stuff. There is a small fridge in the room but you have to be carefull because it can freeze your water or cola. The hair dryer is in the bathroom. Air conditioning works fine. Every room has a balcony.

  • Gastronomy
    5.0

The all inclusive option covers breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and unlimited (until 11 pm) non-alkoholic beverages, ouzo, wine and some kind of brandy. It was almost impossible to leave the restaurant hungry. The breakfast was the same everyday, but the range of dishes was great so you can eat something different each day. Lunch and dinner courses were tasty but honestly I expected something better because greek cousine is great. I think they just wanted to satisfy all types of tourists and because it would be impossible with typically greek food they decided to serve something neutral.

  • Service
    6.0

The staff was very helpfull and polite. Every person including cleaning ladies spoke english. The woman at the reception desk gave us free map when we needed it. The rooms were cleaned everyday except sunday and the bed lining was changed every second day.

  • Sport & Entertainment
    6.0

There are three pools. The smallest one is in the old segment of the hotel. The other two are in the new part. The main pool is prefered by most of the tourists and it is closer to the bar. The middle one is quiet and less crowded. There are plenty of sunbeds and there was no problem finding one or two free. Unfrotunately all the pools are open only from 9 am to 9 pm. Leisure activities include basket ball, tennis and volley ball.

The location is the biggest disadvantage of this hotel. Basically it is placed in the middle of nowhere. The Rapaniana village practically doesn't exist. Our tourist agency claimed that it is about 1,5 km from a biggest picturesque town Kolymvari with restaurants and shops but it turned out it was a village with few teverns and port. Hopefully therw is a big mall Carrefur about half way from the hotel to the village. The rocky beach is very close to the hotel. It takes about 2 minutes walk to get there.

The hotel is not too big and has approximately 160 rooms. It has 2 pool areas, the large pool directly in the main area is very busy with lots of children, the 2. Pool is approximately 150 meters below and is rather relaxing. The rooms are really reasonable and were daily (except sundays) cleaned. We had' all inclusive' booked. There were three times a day food in buffet form, all dishes were perfect, it is certainly something for everyone. Drinks there were all day free, fizzy drinks from the vending machines, coffee and tea from large thermos jugs. Alcohol all ... inclusive includes beer, house wine and Ouzo. All other drinks at a charge. The guests were about 60% English and russians, 20% dutch and 20% mixed German/ scandinavians/ austrian and so on together. The average age of the guests was very durchwachen, from young couples with/ without children to older couple and traveling alone. read more

Simple but tasteful designed room with approximately 15 meters² and bathroom and balcony in the 'old' wing ( standard room), large and modernly decorated room in the new tract with large bath and terrace ( comfort room). We had a standard room booked, but against a extra charge of 20 € per day a comfort room can get. A room safety deposit box is for a fee to use.

Daily at noon volleyball offered, unfortunately in the largest heat from to. Apart from that there is a tennis court, table tennis and a small fitness room and sauna available. Every wednesday there is a magic show (rather poor) and every saturday a greek evening with dancing (very poor). Wi-fi stands in the entrance area free of charge available, is however unfortunately very slow. Also there are hotel's own computer's, which for a fee can be used. In the hotel is a small supermarket closet, in which the coerced buy can.

The place rapaniana is about 30 kilometer west of Chania and about 160 kilometer west of Heraklion on the north coast of crete. Ideal is the destination Chania with about 30 minutes of running time, from Heraklion you need about 2 hours by car. The beach is from the hotel in about 5 minutes walking distance. However the hotel has no own chairs on the beach, but you can for a fee from 6€ per day two loungers and sun screen rent. The beach is stony and nothing special clean. Because the wind often from the north is, at this beach often very high waves. The beach is not suitable for children, as the waves very dangerous. Alone in 2012 there are 4 people have died, so be careful with high waves. Besides supermarkets and a few taverns there is nothing in the surroundings. We had 14 days a rental car and were so thank god mobil. Alternatively, there are also buses. Excursions by bus are from the hotel offered.

Good hotel for Greek standards quite good. The hotel is out of the way from the tourism. We had the first day a hired car and were thus flexible (14 e days 325 Euro-over internet, Kissamos car rental). If you want to experience would like is here at the wrong place. Great children's entertainment by Paula. Half board was sufficient, especially the Greek specialties are recommendable. Price in the hotel rather cheap ( fresh orange juice 1.90 Euro, cocktail 4,00 Euro). Great beach Fallassarna about minutes by car. read more

The hotel consists of 3 buildings ( Riviera, village and palace). We were in the palace. The rooms are pretty huge, modern and well clean and tidy. Food varied and tasteful especially the Salatbeffut. Drinks in the all inclusive bit 2 klassig but nevertheless enjoyable. Only drawback the cats and the resident dog in the food area outside. Many international guests ( little German), nevertheless pleasant atmosphere. Pebble beach about 200 meters away with small beautiful tavern. Bathing shoe recommendable nonetheless. The western part of the island to explore, the hotel lies optimal. Had 5 days a car (100 Euro/ ... Risk, offer from the hotel). Nearby two supermarkets and a travel agency. You should not let the first impression scare, because the Hotel facing the street rather run-down works. However, the upper part of the hotel. The crux is located about a hundred meters down toward the sea. The pool area is for the size of the hotel and always in a clean condition, beach chairs for everyone. We had a superior double room with pool view, it was cleaned every day including new bed sheets-The best the size of the room was fine for two people, the bathroom was great, about 20 to 25. Square meters altogether. To the beach (Pebble ... beach) is another hundred 200 meters up. Therefor is this really clean, just like the water and especially not overloaded with people, beach chairs, umbrellas etc. the only problem, which was quite serious, was the food: we had only booked breakfast, which in the seven days from the buffet offer never changed and more concerned about as a treat. Lunch or dinner, twelve in each case per person (free drinks: water) and for the price, the food was not appropriate. The food was overcooked or was just not good. Because the Hotel is located in rapaniana and is a very small town, which consists only of two hotels and a few overpriced supermarkets, we are almost daily by bus after platanias dangers (about 15 minutes away into the direction of Chania) and eat. Another point was the music, the every day from eight to 22 o'clock or longer loud in the pool area was played, the relax a bit difficult has designed. On the whole the hotel was okay but for the price for those a club vacation the food was far from adequate, as well as the music. And you have to keep in mind, that one would have to drive to see a lot of bus, what else as the hotel and the Pebble beach, than rent a car with fully comprehensive insurance, insurance was only 23 years and from the spritpreis is a, a 70, 90 euro per litre. read more

A very nice well-kept hotel location with spacious, clean rooms, nicely furnished. Good, helpful service from the staff and nice service, rich food. For guests who want to have their peace and not necessarily need entertainment, but you should also own fun. I would stay here again! read more

The hotel staff are unfriendly. No entertainment program in autumn. Dining room was like a canteen. Drinks in the dining room ran out one after the other and were not refilled! Food in snack-bar was the same every day and inedible due to mould!!! No free games for kids. Not a hotel for those who like a bargain. For the amount of money spent, I would have expected better. NEVER AGAIN read more

If you expect something about four stars, try to take location in the rooms around swimmingpool. If you are on diet - it's place for you. Coffee and tea (excluding bar) is really very, very bad in taste. Day by day - still the same food, (accompanied by fly); Best thing- the swimmingpool; Worst thing- extremely boring place with unuseful stony beach, not far from Chania; read more

Very nice silent holiday for families archived

The hotel is situated in a silent fishing village. That means for young people looking for the party and "Halli Calli", the totally wrong choice. For families with children, who want to have silent and enjoyable holiday, it is exactly the right place. A rental car is definitely very recommendable. It can also happen (fishing VILLAGE) that when the Sun goes down, the chickens can start crowing. But that is just like that in every normal village (also in Germany). There is a shingle beach which is about 300 m away. Without the water shoes you can get into the ... sea only with difficulty. There are over 53 double rooms, 4 family rooms, (min 3, max 4 persons), 20 maisons (min 3, max 4 persons) But: Some rooms in the old building are situated right at the main street side. There are bus stops right in front of the hotel. read more
  • Room
    5.5

The rooms look like they are described in the catalogue. They all have an air-conditioner (but which you dont need). The rooms are equipped with telephone, refrigerator and TV.

  • Gastronomy
    4.5

There was something for everyone. Whether for English tourists, who have their own taste, or Czechs and Germans (East/West). I found the food very good and something for everyone. The food on Creta, it doesnt matter in which restaurant, is anyway always low warm. That is ok. The food was (is) good. When you have booked AL (definitely with children), you cannot really comlain about anything.

  • Service
    5.0

The rooms were cleaned every day (except for Sundays). There were always fresh hand towels. The personnel at the reception was always very friendly and helpful. There were English, German, Czechish and of course Greek spoken.

  • Sport & Entertainment
    3.0

There was a tennis field. A volleyball field. A sauna. For those, who need that on Creta, everything that is ok.

The hotel Chrispy is situated approx. 2 km away from the fishing village Rapaniana (rural district Kolimbari). It is about 30-45 min with the bus from the airport Chania.
