The Hotel is rather nicely appointed, previously being a Convent. The public areas are attractive in the colonial way, with a charming patio/winter-garden. Staff had beautiful uniforms and this is really a good credit to the Hotel.
The only but: some rooms are very humid, including mine on the 2nd floor. One is informed not to switch-off the a/c nor to open the balcony door of the bedroom because of the humidity.Surely some rooms are in need of refurbishment after 17 years. if you are allergic to a/c please make sure you are accommodated in a room without such ... problem. read more

the hotel is a real gem. Unfortunately the time has left their marks. It was great a lot rained and water came through the ceiling in the inner courtyard. We had a room in the historic part of the house. By use the air conditioning could be no'comfortable temperature' reach, it was always damp. Also the bed sheets and the bed linen was never really dry.
nevertheless the hotel is in a good condition partly hectic Hustle and bustle of the city. Also the breakfast buffet can't be beat. And in the morning, there were always small Visitors, even a ... croissant sought to guarantee: two tame Toucans. read more

Gorgeous beautiful hotel in the old town Cartagenas location. Originally an old monastery, built in 1621! Relatively expensive unfortunately, but still a great experience. Breakfast in the inner courtyard. read more
