We booked a junior suite but, as they not finished yet was we should go for a stroll or and the front desk we then call for the room was prepared. We found that not so funny, also we at 15 o'clock were there. After a short debate we got immediately a room. A 2 room suite. The suite was great. Kitchen fully equipped, huge balcony. To the beach around 10 minutes away on foot. read more

We were on a Florida round trip and feet. Lauderdale and the Il Lugano was the last of the hotels booked by us but by far the best and had the whole a really great atmosphere. The breakfast was à la carte and of outstanding quality, otherwise, we can't judge since we always ate out. The hotel, front desk and lobby, the hallways as well as rooms are really well designed without being cold. The location of the hotel wasn't't as suitable but the hotel has a shuttle to the example in the evening within a radius of three free ... miles at a table of his choice drives. We have the two nights we go to Wilton drive, the driver we have five tip$ given and then went on the slopes. The beach is in short walking distance. Otherwise there was in the immediate vicinity of the hotel not many possibilities to go shopping or go out. Transportation to and from the hotel was very comfortable and it unlimited recommend! read more

This was our first stay in this hotel, but certainly not the last. Room was very clean. The staff was very friendly. Our room with a view of the canal was great. Re-visit not excluded. Tip: the Greek tavern directly on the main street, a few minutes walk from the hotel, is very recommendable. read more

Where FRANCI 's restaurant-opened 2007 the modern & il Lugano hotel: very, very chic in an art deco style equipped and member of Summit hotel group.
There is no direct access to the beach, therefor but a shuttle bus, although the beach or Aperfekt within seven minutes walk to reach.
all around there are small shops and restaurants, especially the Greek restaurant the Greek islands tavern immediate Right near 'across the street' at the Aperfekt is inexpensive and in the zagat (the American counterpart to the Michelin guide) with 25 points (!) great and fairly assess ☺
In the hotel ... itself there are Todd ENGLISHs Italian restaurant, unfortunately only until 22:00 the o'clock is open, but until 23:00 service o'clock.
the rooms are huge (for example # 919) part with a small kitchen and washer. I-phone charger and flat screen TV.
The staff is very helpful and friendly.
The car is parked of young men and quickly got on request (parking Valit) 15 US dollars night.
The price performance ratio it is good (April 2010):
We paid per night without tax 159 American dollar.
The Hilton or the Ritz Carlton with view of the sea of the Atlantic Ocean about twice as much costs ☺ and ancient Avalon inn would probably no longer stay.
Make sure you get a room with a view of the Canal or over the roofs of Fort Lauderdale east in one of the upper Floors book.
For a short or longer stay in Fort Lauderdale very suitable. read more

It is not your typical beach hotel, since about five minutes from the beach. Is very good for a stay in Fort Lauderdale, for excursions in the surrounding area. Room with a view of the canal highly recommendable. If you are lucky, you even saw dolphins in the channel! Twice we were lucky in the morning.
