The hotel is an impertinence! In the time from 30,03 - to our departure, the hotel had only 06 april 2014. 50% power. Reception and lobby were over notsromleitung the open in the hallways were taken care of. Many rooms were over 5 days without electricity. The committing the corridors is due to dirt 4 weeks away - all will become only once the hallways cleaned. Sitzkapazität in the lobby bar was very small. The whole day the tv with fußballprogrammen! The dining room in the vending machine were masses of ants, which were also in the drinks. Rooms ... were average cleaned 3 times in the week. We have even trash requested at the front desk, to at least the regular disposal to organize. Many british - very many drunk - very much noise. Toilets in the lobby only with caution from 19:00 usable! read hotel review

Were in new apartments building, had nothing with a hotel to Do, 600 meters of front desk, 1 kilometer from restaurant! , Impertinence! Front desk poor, US 6 hours on apartment let us wait, although apartment already ready cleaned! , finally neither the remote control for air conditioning and television given (not fun with 600 meters distance ), on the next day no cleaning in the apartment ( also not funny with 1 toilet paper roll for 4 people). Lousy food (1 kilometer away) absolutely crowded complex with 2 pools for former hotel, but riesenapartmentanlage! All together never again! read hotel review

Beautiful simple family hotel with directly at the beach, two large pools and sufficient food. Cabanas is a rising place, but still no mass tourism! From here you can wonderful Portugal experience. A visit in Aquazoo, to Tavira or Faro may the Urlaubsbild ROUNDDOWN. read hotel review

It is a simple, family suitable hotel with friendly staff. The rooms / decor is in your rooms / buildings getting a bit old. Great sandy beach the long walks invites. Since the Sandargarve a Wattenlandschaft is, is the beach on a sand dune/ Island. You get free with a boat and then a hike of approximately 300 meters on a stone path before itself. In the evening you should mosquito repellent have ready. read hotel review

We were there at the end of October suite in the gold club and were very pleased with the hotel. Climate moderate absolutely brilliant, so around 22 degrees the. Super lagoon with behind the dream beach. Kids loved it. The beach was definitely nice a successful short vacation. Will surely come back to Portugal. Absolutely recommendable. read hotel review

We can only for the studios in the 'e' -wing speak: mattresses in the bedroom in the kitchen! Have the beds in the living room born, since there window/ door to the balcony. Kitchen included everything and new. Bathroom: shower and curtain new. TV mini, but ARD; ZDF; RTL; Sat.1. Tables in the restaurant were quickly cleared and swept. Cleaning staff stubborn and surly ( Mentalitätsfrage ). The hotel lies secluded ( for excursions definitely car rent!). However to relax and cuddle and for walks on the beach ( infinite) and mussels collect and in the afternoon at the ... -new- seafront the sunset ahead and, and, and. Very suitable. Food (national ) good and varied. Even 10 minutes before the end of the meal time refilled. All drinks for serving ( beer, red and white wine, soft drinks). To the beach with free Hotelbooten (2). Always went, as soon as people came from 10 to o'clock. Takes merely 5 minutes through the lagoon. Then 2 to 5 minutes walk, depending on the ebb or the flow, and then has to go, the dream beach ( however nature!). Circa 5 kilometer in every direction, deserted, in any case in October, great. The pool is nothing for those seeking tranquillity, as the all inclusive-guests your-alcoholic - drinks with at the pool take. With increasing alcohol level increases the volume. read hotel review

The food has improved a hundred % since last year ☺ The rooms are just shabby but otherwise okay. The Portuguese, and not too large demands is right at home here. We booked this hotel as a saving at the airport. From Faro airport easy to reach. But almost everything was so positive on. We stayed in a neighboring building with the charm the late eighties. The rooms were very Spartan and old-fashioned equipped. Especially the bathroom was in a bad condition (floor the tub had no coating more/mold-through the outlet of the sewage smelled the room terrible). Since the room on the ground floor was, could one in the night no windows open. So on the second day after a complaint move in a higher room in the Nebentrackt. Since ... this room was small and no tv was available, we got for the price of the half board and AIC. Food at the only restaurant constantly repeated itself and was very happy! By the pool very many broken tiles, on the via boat reachable lagoon a great not overcrowded beach. read hotel review

Hotel area was very well arranged, very mixed guests (many British, French, Russian, Spanish, German); hotel in a quiet location, after short footpath about three minutes to find bars/restaurants and a few shops; path to the beach with shuttle problem, within ten minutes away from the beach; beach was Fantastically beautiful, not crowded, fine sandy beach, very clean; the food varied and good; recommended by car or bus to explore the region, everything was possible without a problem (little traffic); all in all: for those price great! read hotel review

A rather tired and well-used hotel, which is badly in need of some TLC, money and time spent on it to bring the older parts of it up to the standard of the newer blocks in the complex, which looked lovely, fresh and clean. read hotel review

    We booked to Golden Clube in Cabanas last January, based on the photos on the hotel's website, which matched those on our tour operator's, and were looking forward to our 10-day holiday in August 2011. However, when we got to the hotel, the room we were allocated was a far cry from the lovely modern photographs on the websites that had helped us choose this particular hotel. We were given a room in one of the older blocks, beside the roundabout as you enter the complex. The hotel had been built about 40 years ago, and this block looked as if it had never been updated since then. Our room, on the ground floor of Block C, was not fit for habitation, and we complained at the hotel's reception desk. The reception staff informed us that there are two levels of accommodation at the hotel. The photographs on the hotel website show "Sunset" or superior rooms, and are in the newer part of the hotel built about 10 years ago, furthest away from the roundabout. The rest of the hotel has "Standard" rooms, but even those vary greatly in standard of accommodation. We were lucky, and were eventually moved to a different room in the main block, which was a huge improvement as it was clean and fresh-smelling, even though it was still a "Standard" room. Other people in our block who also complained during our stay were not as lucky as we were. However, if you do decide to book the Golden Clube in Cabanas, be very careful that you know in advance what you are booking. Don't be misled (as we were) by the glamorous photographs on the hotel's website, unless you are positive you are booking the "Sunset" level of accommodation.

    The food in the main restaurant was clean and prepared freshly, but it was very limited in range. There is only so much salad you can eat, regardless of how fresh or tasty it is. We were at the hotel on an all-inclusive basis, and we found some of the main dishes (there were a choice of two each evening) were repeated during our second week. The children did have their own food, which was fine if you like chips and breadcrumbed food. We were told that if we wanted to eat in the other restaurant in the hotel, we would have to pay, as our "all-inclusive" band wouldn't work there.

    The hotel generally was adequate (if a little average and tired) for a busy 3-star hotel, although some of the public toilet facilities were out of order during our stay. The evening entertainment was what we had expected. The pool was always busy, but it was clean. Gordon, the events manager, was very helpful organising a special boat-trip for us. The entertainment staff in general were pleasant and friendly, although all their annoucements were made in 7 languages, which made them rather long!

    There was a kids club, but my children chose not to join in. There were two pools, which were very busy and if you did not go to the pool in the morning, it proved quite difficult to get a sumbed. There was a shortage of parasols, considering how hot it was in August, and we would have loked more to be available.

    The hotel is quiet, at the end of Cabanas. It is beside an inlet, which you can cross in the hotel's boat, to walk across the little island to get to the beach, which is beautiful and relatively unspoilt. Cabanas has got a new walkway along the harbour/waterfront, which is suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. There are boat-trips to the Rio del Formosa, and there is public transport to Tavira.

When we booked the hotel in February to 84 % recommendation advertised the tendency was readily. At arrival in October there were only 70 % tendency drop further. The previous bad reviews I have absolutely sign and its accuracy confirm. Which is actually a nice arranged hotel area boasts mangelde care and carelessly decor and no expertise to detail. In 2008 the hotel/2009 ITS Red Star award, you should recover as soon as possible. We traveled with 4 adults and 2 children aged 3 and 12 years arrived and had booked AI. The cleanliness of the rooms and the impression ... leave something to be desired. The hotel is very loud and noisy and conversations visitor to the bar in the reception area were distributed over the three floors in the main building. Each Committing the corridors by other guests you stood startled awake. To top it all was established in the first night, the fire-alarm went off a whole time stopped and all guests in turmoil and had turned out to be false alarm problem. The green areas in the pool area were populated by numerous cats, for the custom-built a Schlafhaus, unfortunately, no one has thought go have thought about was left behind by the poor and ill looking cats to make your business on the green and Secondly in the bushes. The number of cats everywhere is questionable high and could count the small ones in the hope of some guests some food. You will go out not on the tables to jump to get to the ruins of an meal. Hie rmuss you very worried about the hygiene, since the cleaning of the tables in the outdoor area is also have to be desired.     - Twin beds with very bad mattresses. The walls were dirty and everywhere bröckelnder plaster. - On the balcony of plasters, peeling everywhere we then-swept together yourself, but clearly from the cleaning staff had the whole week overlooked. - The wardrobe turned out to an open rack in the closet with a lost chest of drawers for clothes. We prefer to keep our clothes in our case, as closet and drawer of dirt and Wollmäusen infested with and also not enough space for clothes 2 1/2 people had offered. - The bathroom, the top impudence.     There was a restaurant by the main meals can be. Unfortunately it's this too small for the number of guests and warm. You can also not as comfortable. For children were were only fries and noodles ready, but there wasn't sauces. For all guests for breakfast only 2 coffee machine available so often queues. There were 2 meats and one sort of cheese. The sweet spreads received only in the famous small plastic cups, which have also had hardly any taste but just sweet. The staff at the restaurant, however, was always tried, to remove the used plates timely and was friendly.     The staff was great, all were super nice and totally dedicated. No matter whether in the restaurant, bar or entertainment. Kudos goes to the front desk. Everyone was always nice and always helpful. No matter what you ask for it. Except for the house-Keeping, all have very good English spoken. Entertainment and front desk also excellent German. Room cleaning was adequate. There were a few suggestions. For example. starting emptying ashtrays on the balcony. So little things.

    There are two computers in the lobby with Internet access (surcharge), telephone in each room (0,20cent/minutes) - so affordable. The pool was clean and there were no beach chairs with towels. so you get beach chairs at all times. Entertainment for the kids was ok, the evening program, oh well. The sports program was ok. Daily volleyball, aerobics, water aerobics, darts, table tennis etc. We frequently played tennis (6€/hour), so was very affordable. The beach was clean and the water.

    Everything is very accessible. Had a rental car, as well as used this. Runs regularly every 2 hours. And bring a reasonable (1,25 EUR per. P. p. ) everywhere.     Cabanas is a quaint little place, with little shops and a few restaurants. Due to the place and the beach was not as crowded, which we enjoyed very much. With a no boat is about 5-10 minutes on the beach which was very nice. You'll find many and larger shells. Over the highway is you within 1 hour in Lagos. We had a hire car for the whole time, which is really recommended, so that you can explore different coastal regions of the Algarve.

Overall the hotel is OK if you their needs very low stops. What bad was the Hygiene. The bathroom was in terrible condition. shower curtain moldy. the furniture in general very bad. partly dirty towels. After a complaint and upon request room change was I told the front desk, that no rooms would be available and then when we would 25 euro charges. The hotel is located on a lagoon with a nice beach. The area was actually very beautiful. At the two pool areas unfortunately leaves the cleanness left something to be desired. Many guests had an inflammation, which was typical for unclean water. A pool was closed several days, as the water was green/brown discolored. The public is very international.     Our room was in the main building, which we had bad luck. It was spacious, with a small kitchenette, balcony, TV, but unfortunately had the furniture was already seen better days. It was very much outdated, the bathroom had no window, nor a fan, but mold! Other travelers had booked the same category, but more lucky. They were really enjoyed their rooms. It could have been but it did not bother us, if it had been cleaned. In the bathroom, hair & dustballs were despite cleaning 14 days in the same spot!

    For us it was a ray of the hotel. The number of bars was adequate, the service was friendly. The meals in the restaurant were always tasty. The choice wasn't that big, but tasty. There was always a fish and a meat dish with different trimmings and large salad buffet. A soup and diverse appetizers rounded the meal. Of course there was also here travelers who are only french fries and pasta with ketchup almost exclusively, and to see the creations of home-made salads with fish and meat not trust. They have missed out. Fresh fruit was always available.

    The staff was friendly and mostly hard. The complaints at the reception were just ignored us, though. We had booked a double room with an extra bed. The single bed was a hinged Liege.     The beach could be reached after a short boat ride across the lagoon. The shuttle back worked quite fast. The place Cabanas is undecorated too. A few shops and restaurants but are not particularly attractive. The next town is Taviera. town was lovely, which in many places in dire need of a renovation, but needed. However if you fancy stores in vain. The walk to the large tourist centers is very far. One's looking for something more entertainment is you in cabanas wrong.

Was a very beautiful holiday. The hotel area was large and very well maintained. The buffet is very extensive and tasty. The rooms are functional all with air conditioning. We stayed in the new part of the grounds and the apartment was spacious and clean. All apartments have nice and large balconies. The travel guide was also nice and very accommodating, if at times was a bit of a problem, you could speak with the management and they were also really immediately taken care. The staff at the buffet was very accomodating. The evening events were nice and entertaining. The ... only negative was the mosquitos at night. No screen evening car instead of going out. Although the hotel is older, but by new building and renovation still fully in order. A fantastic view of the lagoon and the sea behind. definitely get bug spray, the best on-site; our autan didn't jerking wide. read hotel review

Dinner sometimes not as good and too much with fish. No decoration rather everything quite sober presented. Bad description of food in the main restaurant at lunch time keeping the chef overstrained waiting for up to 10 minutes. Unfortunately, they only in the dining room were set with paper tablecloths only plastic table no Sesselauflagen on the terrace. Atmosphere yes 2 stars: ( tips depending on you and friendliness. Cleanliness in the dining room was ok. plastic table stuck from the drinks by the pool.

Shower and toilet facilities (2 ) too little for the pool area in the restaurant is also no toilets only in the so-called spa sauna and indoor swimming pool were toilets this would but um20.00h closed. To the beach by boat from 9.00 am - 7 pm was ok.     Distance to the beach was from 9 am by boat to the beach to the airport 45 minutes shopping possibilities in front of the hotel nice promenade small shops and nice restaurants. In the hotel, unfortunately no kiosk. To Tavira by taxi about 8 km there are many more shopping areas. Excursions to tour operators have also mentioned this made 2 days trip to Lisbon/Sintra and a Segelschifffahrt with the Condor highly recommended. As I said Tavira nice little town with a Bimmelzug well and stroll through the alleys.
