The hotel/hostel is approximately 10 minutes out from berlin central station, from there you can take any s-bahn and buses very Berlin investigate, soon with the tram; or with the u55 to Brandenburger Tor.
The house is new but already very worn, the staff very young and often very helpless.
Breakfast is not recommended, except for time loves holiday camp.

The A&O Hotel located near the main station (around 10 minutes away on foot), thus very central. Soundproof windows let the noise outside, also when you a room to the street has (i). By the integrated hostel has it rather youth hostel character., so many school classes, students etc. The prices are but very moderate, if you only for staying the night into the room comes, it is okay. Breakfast is in good quality, at rush hour (sunday Between 8 and 9 hours) is chaos.
The cleaning of the rooms, i am not satisfied. There were only the garbage bin ... daily emptied and sometimes the mat changed. On the way there the room was clean, but there were the invoices (with personal data of previous guests ) on the table. During my stay (4 nights) was neither swept nor the toilet deseamed.
However is the furnishing, because almost new, in good condition. A truly affordable alternative also during fairs. For me annoying was the constant slamming of doors the neighbouring room from 6 o'clock in the morning and the bad set door to the breakfast room in the basement (metal -fire door), the from 6 o'clock sleep 2 floor hardly any possible made. read more

For a 2 star hotel (hostel ) everything was ok. A very good location in immediate proximity to the new main station (less than 10-minute walk ) from there everything is with the S-Bahn and a subway, as well as the bus lines excellent reachable. A bus stop is also in the immediate vicinity the house. The hotel offers also a parking lot on its own parking behind the house to relatively reasonable tagesgebühren. The hostel isn't recommendable. The noise in the hallways is being tacitly tolerated. The night starting at 3 and ends at 7 if the first get up. Therefore only for business travellers, students, the two days because of präsenzphase in Berlin must spend and not at all for families recommendable. The front of the hostel for young people my opinion for use, nothing to do. Together folded hand towels in the bathroom where the dirt of the previous guest was to bear witness, that the service its service is not doing. I was excessively disappointed. Has a similar good hostel ... expects as meininger. But that is against worth their weight in gold. The good central location and the beautiful atmosphere in the entrance hall can help there as well as little as the spacious bath. The size of the room was just okay. The this hotel or hostel 'only' a 2 star hotel is, we have when booking somehow not taken into account. At the review i have this aspect but notice. For a 2 star hotel this place is for certain enough. We were there for 4 days in this hotel. It was all right. The reception staff are very friendly and has great reccomendations for excursions etc. The rooms are big enough. Hair from the predecessor or the cleaning staff could often occurrence, there were however quite many & they looked partly like from an animal. (animals seem goes, because during ... the breakfast there was also a langhaariger dog in the room-not exactly hygienic, but a matter of opinion \u263a our room was at 2 days tidy cleaned. When we on the 3. day our room entered made the bed linen the impression, as would already again someone in it location. The cleaning crew seemed on the day no time or desire to have had. It everything seemed carelessly. The walls in the hotel room were very dirty. I assume, that often grades stop.
The distance to the main station is super. One runs about 7 minutes. Approximately 200 meters from the hotel is also a bus stop - the drive by bus is worthwhile but only from certain ' places' from.
The breakfast was okay, but its price not in my opinion worth.
Breakfast dishes etc. Yourself to be cleared, but the bothered us not.
The hotel bar in the upper floor offers cheaper drinks. From the food we were by the barmitarbeiterin discouraged-you can only the pizza eat. The pizza costs €4.50 & no secret of it, that it is a commercial frozen pizza is.
For a short break the hotel is for certain enough.
We would but the next time but rather a somewhat ' schickeres ' hotel choose. read more

Youth hostel/hostel with various age groups
Couldn't hurt with the wiper on the floor in the bathroom shut monday-friday A seifenfleck on the floor and dust was also available wasn't too bad since i only for sleeping on my room was but a bit more cleanliness would not have harmed since every day always someone from the staff in it and the shower mat again over the shower put. This in direct proximity to main station hotel/ hostel is for a city trip with 2a 3 nights definitely recommendable, but for longer however not. As mostly very young clientèle there is, even at night in the hallways noisy and constantly doors slaps etc. And it was only hard can fall asleep, which after a strenuous sightseeing day already very annoying can be. The rooms were small, however reasonable. The bath was very clean and also the beds were ok. The Frühstùck offers ready-to-bake breads ( our articles made of rubber) eggs, cold cuts of cheese to the sausage and ... jam and salad at. Coffee, tea, choco and granini fruit juice were there also to find. On the 5th floor of the hotel there was a bar with a view over Berlin, which rather great was. All together goes the value for money reasonable and if you are looking for a solid night's sleep and on good breakfast can do without, here for a short break not disappointed. read more

Clean small simple designed room with a TV. Bathroom is small, but totally functional, relatively new and super clean!
Dining room for breakfast fairly Spartan, but choice of food totally sufficient and good!
Proximity to main station about 5 minutes walk!

We had a voucher for the hotel and very cheap stay. I would therefore really not that much at all bad over the a&o letter. For 2 stars we did not expect much.
However, we would probably next time again a 2 star hotel à la Motel One or bed & breakfast select.
First but the positive things:
- nice, young staff
- 24 hours reception
- new building (2010), bright, friendly colors
- rooftop (cocktail-) bar
- cheap
The hotel/hostel is not bad! However, you have to cut back:
- quite small room
- small (but sufficient) bathroom
- ... room and bathroom unfortunately not very clean
- tattered badmatte
- 'garderobe' back in the corner, it was very inconvenient. Sorry, no further hooks in the entrance area.
- no closet
- quite warm in the room and because ground floor komnnte you the rooms only cigarette butts, not open
- curtains too small for the window. They do not close completely, so that one with a ground floor room (# 046) always thought, that someone peek in may
- very badly soundproofed buildings

The staff at the hotel was mostly unfriendly. We ask ourselves, whether during our stay the room at least once it was cleaned. The towels were also not replaced. The only shops nearby is a Netto and the approximately 500 meters away main station. The hotel room includes a TV, even flat screen. However the walls were very dirty. The window can be only cigarettes or close, not completely open. The rooms, as well as the bathroom are very small. At night seemed also very annoying the doors no rubber seal locked have, that means a door accidentally took too ... echoes this on the whole Hallway. read more

Very beautiful hotel in great location. Only 10 minutes on foot from the main station and nevertheless a very nice and calm location. The towels and bed sheets were changed daily and the rooms cleaned.
The room furnishing and size were for the price completely fine.
Beautiful breakfast buffet with which surely everyone found something.
If you the hotel bar once found, what with the signposting is not so easy, is this really worth a visit, since the roof terrace a very nice view over Berlin has even if part through another haus The prices for the drinks are in ... comparison to other bars in the surrounding area quite cheap.
All together a very nice and cheap hotel, which I for a city trip to Berlin only recommend can. read more

We had the hotel a day before the trip. The hotel isn't far from the main train station, we are around 10 minutes away on foot run. We are then on the assumption there arrived and it was crowded, so that we at the front desk something had to wait. As them, we were told, that there was no double room more and we therefore a family room got.
The way to the room was annoying, since the walls in an appalling orange painted were and it there were only artificial light gave. The whole atmosphere i was not pleased ..., since the hallway was fairly long.
In the room arrived we found, that the whole rather a room in a youth hostel reminds. I had the feeling as if i go back to like school dinners all over-horrible feeling. The room had a normal double bed, then but also two etagebetten, as it is a family room was. The large of the room was great, since we had plenty of space, however was the furnishing just. On a wall an ugly picture and otherwise there was in the middle of the room a table and a chair. Directly over it was the tv.
The room itself seemed definitely not inviting. On the walls were everywhere dirty strip. Luckily was the bed linen clean, so we trusted in the bed to sleep. There was in the room a separate toilet and a shower. Both was perfect clean.
We had room only, so was no breakfast with us. We were not in the bar. The hotel we purely as übernachtungsquartier use. read more

Ideal location, with our four-year child the well 1 kilometer away, Natural History museum, the world's highest rate Dinoskelett anzukucken or a walk to the Brandenburg Gate to make. Play area great. Playground right on the hotel not available, but in about 500 meters distance two playgrounds, of which a closed for construction was in our day, to the other are we not more gone; unfortunately knew the staff from the head not, where playgrounds are, although with family friendliness is advertised). Family-room = 2 double rooms with a verb. Door, one of them clean, one not so( dried Spot ... on toilet seat, thick layer of dust on superior). Children stay overnight and have breakfast for free! New hotel summer 2010 opened, therefore decor in good condition. Rooms with laminate, corridors with carpet, decor apparently mostly by IKEA. Hotel Rooftop bar (good atmosphere) relatively far away from rooms, as well as lobby bar, this peace. Books, kickers and pool in foyer. Options for shopping in street (net) and in the main station (Emperor, Rossmann); we ate at main station, which without large search the closest one was.
Tip: when booking with tour operators directly or through way. De in tour operators ( other relevant, I visited portals book without tour operators) is breakfast often already contain, at our we was altogether over 10 euros per night cheaper than going directly to hotel's homepage booked.
Altogether very good value for money for an overnight stay with good breakfast buffet ( for 2 stars) in a quite central two star hotel with uncomplicated, upscale Hostelatmosphäre and young staff. read more
