For a city break, when you don't have much time in the hotel anyway, a good place to stay. The bathroom unfortunately wasn't like that modern and renovated like the pictures on the internet, however reasonable.
The location the hotel is good, directly opposite from the main railway station. We had a room toward the backyard, so the noise couldn't be heard.
Breakfast offers plenty of choices. read more

The Hotel Amba, directly by the main station Munich is centrally located and within easy reach with train or car. The check in only seconds and I was very warmly welcomed. All was the friendliness of the staff remarkably, it is at the front desk or during the breakfast.
The breakfast was hearty, varied and good. The breakfast room itself, the charm of the 60-years, this is but not negative his.
My room was very small and to the street. Noise I did not felt. The furniture in the room are quite old. Wireless lan is for a fee. The ... bathroom, if you can say, is very small, you can hardly turn. Furthermore has in the shower the lighting so flickered, that one the feeling had, in a disco to be. When checking out this was reported and the nice lady has this immediately forwarded.
In short - the Hotel Amba offers not a lot of comfort, is however of the location was quite a tip for one or two nights. read more

For maximum 3 days sufficient, apart from that too small and above all the oktoberfest as probably all hotels overpriced.
Breakfast was good, choice was all right.
Staff were friendly.
Location is opposite from the main station great to arrive by train.

We are a travel group for one night in the Hotel Amba experienced. This is a small hotel in the immediate area to the main station. The location is perfect to explore Munich. On foot one runs to marienplatz about 20 minutes the hotel was already somewhat older, but that didn't bother us. The breakfast was great. However a bit small held, but something for everyone. We liked it and for a city trip is this hotel very recommendable. read more

The short break in Munich was at the hotel well done. Hotel lies directly on the main station, what was not was really disturbing. We had the room to the street. If the windows are closed, you don't hear anything more.
The breakfast is a dream, everything your heart desires, rarely something experienced! Friendly staff, everything great.

We were for a city trip for 3 nights in the Hotel Amba. The location? - just perfect! All public transport quasi directly in front of the house. Because of the Comments for HolidayCheck we had a room 'backward' ordered. What we did not know, that opposite a youth hostal, and in the street itself a strongly frequented sports bar. Accordingly was the loud was the noise level at night. Without ear plugs is nothing at all!
The hotel / rooms are getting a bit old, just - nevertheless practical and tidy. The cleaning of the rooms was rather a ... ' Sichtreinigung ' and, in our opinion, too early in the day, in other words (we) directly for breakfast. The underground car park is. 'took some getting used to' you should the dimensions of its vehicle very exactly know. The entrance is very steep and narrow down. The price 10 €/ night is for Munich reasonable the staff were normally friendly and helpful.
A highlight is in any case the breakfast! Everything your heart desires, tidy and tasty presented in really good quality, champagne every morning-) if the hotel fully occupied is a bisser'l close in the breakfast room.
As in short: because of the noise not really recommendable. BUT, the staff's hospitality, the perfect location, the breakfast make this hotel recommendable nonetheless.
Tip: definitely the 'augustinerkeller' (10 minutes on foot) visit! Super ambience, delicious food, nice people read more

Centrally located right at the train station, for short stay suitable however only at the back the room
Forward one can hardly sleep the road the train station the tram everything in front of our noses. Bad isolated window very small old rooms bath, shower you can degrees so move. Rooms to the rear are newly
Renovated on a lateral road, then it's OK! Augustinerkeller almost on the doorstep.
Breakfast everything is there what you want, this is fully okay. In short, for a short trip to Munich the AmbA recommendable. read more

The hotel is located directly by the main train station Munich, so very central! Very well from there with the public transport links everywhere to arrive. You can also great on foot in the city center walk
1. BUT: we had a room on the fifth floor, the window( with shutters) went to the street/ train station and so you had at night the feeling trains run through the bedroom. With ear Plugs one could sleep well!
2. BUT: the bathroom( toilet/ shower) was in our room so narrow, that we two women were glad tall to be. Because people ... with a few Kilos more come there certainly not in the shower, let alone there again.
Apart from that was the room okay.
The staff at the reception were always very friendly, exactly like the service staff in the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was great.
You could get coffee drinks from a WMF -machine drag and there was champagne every morning
For city breaks definitely recommendable! Ear plugs don't forget, but really a good location! read more
