One of you should know Jamaica is different. So if you want a trip to Jamaica to undertake would like, which should itself first prepare well. If you fail to do this, you could easily accessible on the mentality of this lovely people stumble. Any caribbean island is different. Jamaica stings for everyone as especially especially out. The Riu Negril is one of the best hotels in Jamaica. Generally i would always august until october travel. Since there is the travel almost half the price and the hotels are often less than 50% occupied, what the service very good. Climatically limited, the Riu Negril slightly below the weather worn. But you have that everywhere. More importantly: everything was super clean! The supply of food and drink is perfect! Even the minibar and rumspender in the rooms is all inclusive.     Sufficiently large rooms in a colonial style. Everything was great. But who spends its vacation on the room. For us thus the least important urlaubsfaktor.

    Super buffet with huge variety. International food. Extra Jamaica corner. Lots of fresh fruit. Delicious milkshakes. Theme restaurants were not so our case. Super outdoor area for all meals. Jerkgrill on the beach.

    The pool with the swim-up bar was firmly in the hands of the americans. There was also the entertainment. The 2. equivalent pool was almost deserted. The beach is super. Nice change through conversant beach vendors and musicians, not really pushy. More than enough beach chairs, lifeguard, shade under trees, showers were, fine sand, flat, super for kids. Disco and kids club were not occupied, but available. The diving station scubacaribe is highly recommended.

    Located right on the beach. After a few meters the seaweed and small corals. Therefore very high biodiversity of fish & co was super for snorkeling. Diving with the local padi basis also great ( myron Wilson is a top diving guide). Otherwise the bloody bay very remote. A taxi rank are available at the reception.

The rooms are huge, as well as the complex itself. The hotel is no longer new, but still in a good condition. The inclusive services for example food was great, i am a vegetarian and i have always found something, my husband always knew not at all what he eat the selection of meat was very big and good. The former what a bit bothered us were the americans, british and canadians, the never knew when an end. A problem the chiggers in the evening, as well as the mosquitoes. The average age was ok. The hotel and the area has about 1200-1500 beds and there were different room sizes, facilities and categories! We had a double room sea side with balcony! The size of the room was very good, the safe (free of charge with code) was so large, that easily a tray, papers, damcorder and a reflex camera with ersatzobjektiv place therein had! The decor of the room was a large led tv, ironing board, iron, air conditioning, in addition, a ceiling fan, a large minibar (each 2. day free refilled)! The bathroom was very spacious with double sinks and a bathtub! In ... the whole complex wireless internet is available for an additional fee (60 Dollar per week), in the hotel lobby, you have ever device per day 90 minutes for wireless internet! The free wi-fi goes far beyond the lobby also (depending on the view from the large pool)! We booked on the free wireless internet and using smatphone and tray mails get and were also in the internet! The speed, etc. Was quite attractive (contrary to other reviews here) and completely enough for us! While we were there, there were mostly americans and canadians in the hotel, but there were no problems, etc.! read hotel review

    See hotel general! The complex was very tidy! The manager saw one the whole day at various points, and at the main meals in the restaurant with checks and instructions etc. Which certainly the reason was, that everything according to clean and tidy was! The public toilets were constantly cleaned and were very clean!

    On the complex there was a main restaurant (breakfast and dinner) where even the staff to ensure, that you with ' angemesseren clothes' dinner came! The food was very diverse and there was always different food (always italian, jamaikanischs as an overspill!) Meat, poultry and fish, large salad and osttheke! The quality of the food we would with good! In addition there are still 3 specialty restaurants (gourmet, steak and italian)! Gourmet we tested, was alright but not better than in the main restaurant with self-service! Since we didn't book, we have the main restaurant preferred!

    The hotel staff is very friendly and willing to help! At the front desk is sometimes also german spoken, with english you but everywhere! The room cleaning takes place as usual daily and there was no reason for complaint! This gave it from us in any area, we can therefore no evaluation to the dealing with complaints make! In the room, there were some 'stains', which you but just the climatic conditions overstatement! We had a relatively high humidity! On the complex there was child care, a relaxing area, fitness room, casino, tennis courts, and a doctor!

    From the airport montega bay it was about 90 kilometer and the transfer time is about for 80 minutes! The hotel area was located directly on the beach the so-called bloody bay: you can toward sanibel. Rui palace etc. About 3 kilometer walk along the beach! An atm can be reached either along the main street or the beach to Riu Palace and about 800 millimeter along the main road! Easy drive to rick's café is located in circa 25 Dollar! Public transport services are not familiar to us! Excursions were offered by different providers! We were with de music buzz (junior and Birgit) in Kingston! Brigit comes from Germany and lives since many years on Jamaica! Other than that, we were still with 'daddy cool' to the y/s falls and the black river! Daddy cool is really a ' coller' rastamann, which on the whole tour various plants and herbs explained! We booked our trips through the TUI and the local tourist guide from TUI (Matthias) was almost daily attainable and always endeavored around our well-being! Famous cocktail of TUI in the form of a small car orienteering competition by Negril to the lighthouse and took about 2 hours! Definitely go, it is the orientation and you get much explains (for example where the atm is)!

Facilitities are highly recommended The complex complies with the positive reviews. The negative comments are usually exaggerated. Negative was only the mosquitoplage and culture-and tasteless americans, as well as the entertainers, in the constantly drunk americans have adapted. I have to say i was because of the lots of negative reviews here at the beginning of somewhat worried, however was any concern unjustified. This is a mittelklassenhotel, who 5 stars luxury searches must book somewhere else. Here is it besides only all inclusive, perhaps one or another here is a on the thirsty drink can everywhere occur, cannot be avoided. We have the pool bar avoided and are always at the beach been, so we with the trinkfreundlichen guests hardly anything to do. Yes, the americans and canadians will be able to enjoy cocktails in your own brought ... chalices fill, but i'm having neither of which, or of the fact that some of them for dinner shorts and flip flops are not the vacation spoil. Guests, as well as staff were always friendly, it was clean and the selection of food was large. It is a large hotel with hundreds of guests, should therefore the kitchen large boil up and it gives beside rindsfilets also now times fries and pizza. It can once a piece of meat to his, but just a new. If the too few is can on one of the 3 restaurants avoid, the food was everywhere good (also at the buffet). Who on the clientels and the gastronomy little more demanding is i would rather the Riu Palace in Negril recommend. Definitely again! Before start to have we with holiday check about this hotel informed and afterwards are lots of negative reviews simply unfounded or simply not to understand! The hotel is according to the age in a good and well maintained condition. Of course it is not a new building, so one should not expect. The rooms are tastefully furnished and were cleaned daily. The whole garden area was taken care of daily, so that it nothing to complain about there is. The largest plus point is however almost the complete staff. Almost all of the staff are incredibly good ... mood and spray never seen joie de vivre, and not only on the entertainers, but on the cleaning ladies and men, service, salesperson, and so on each of them attempted us a vacation to remember to ready. As in short one can only say it often to blame as nice the vacation is. There is for certain perfect hotel facilities, however costs this 1st a multiple and 2. says then still long nothing about the people from, because they have this vacation for us a perfect holiday made. Christmas and new year's eve in Karibik. It should be our dream holiday. The hotel was fully booked. The staff tried the geschirrberge to manage. But the cleanliness the glasses, cups especially the plates and cups left but much to be desired. Also we watched several times, that a waiter with a cleaning cloth for the tables cups ausrieb, before he the table for the next guests not pay. To 3 days ill My husband, and other guests, to a bacterial pathogen caused diarrhoea, accompanied by a very high fever. The medically prescribed antibiotic lowered after 2 days the fever ..., stopped but only at the end of the vacation the diarrhea. At least fit for the return journey. Since the disinfectant, the at the entrance the restaurant was, failed. Also in the peak season i expect, that hygienic standards are complied with. This i would venture in the Club Hotel Negril to doubt. read hotel review

For us an absolute great holiday. The partly bad reviews of the predecessors we can absolutely don't understand. A typical Riu-complex with very clean rooms and great service. The beach is ok, although not a caribbean dream beach. Next to the hotel many stands of native at the beach, good for shopping! Pool area absolutely clean and offers both tranquility, as well as varied activities, as well as partly partymusic. The food absolutely sufficient, something for everyone. Fish we are not, therefore no rating possible. Shopping and excursion possibilities sufficiently available in specified distance (circa 8 kilometer to Negril by ... taxi. Hotel with 2 shops, as well as taxi connections (price always negotiable!) Tennis courts and gym, absolutely okay. Early in the morning and at sunset strandfloh issue, and that is negative!     There are 4 restaurants and altogether 4 bars. The food against previous reviews we found very good. The quality was really good. (Hummer, prawns, fish, duck, turkey, pork, beef and pork and much more.) In the restaurant the wine was from the bottle are served. At the bars were the beverages good but also times poorly mixed. The cleanliness and hygiene is good.

Nothing for people, the peace and quiet search. The hotel management and the staff give themselves fairly trouble, a Riu- level to reach. Unfortunately, the by mostly american Ballermann-tourists again and again prevented. Starting from a dress code in the restaurants up to the consideration of other guests in the rooms, at the beach and at the pools knows the american public no apology. Unfortunately, we had to on this vacation our hitherto positive view of americans thoroughly revise. To contact with other guests the level in the Riu Palace however also not better, the additional expenditure is worthwhile not ... so. Country and people as expected - one is in Karibik and as is the mentality. In the hotel you fought with the small annoyances. At the bars there is up to the evening drinks only in plastic cups- at the lobby bar. With a bit of tipping is however a real glass possible. The food is typical of the country varied-if european tastes satisfied to have wants is wrong at the place! A large hotel with extremely well-kept garden and a private beach section, on which many shady trees. The area is very extensive, if you don't like far for going out to eat would, should try, a room nearby the entrance to get. Directly at the bloody bay, a long bay in Negril. The hotel lies at a private beach section. Big room with large built-in closet with a safe and iron and ironing board. The rooms are differently equipped, with a king size bed, 2 twin beds or 3-4 beds. These tv, telephone, chest of drawers, table and chairs, as ... well as a fridge and getränkespendern (rum and so on) the bathroom has 2 sinks and bathtub, and toilet. Tile floor. On the balcony are chairs and a table, and a clothes horse. A large restaurant, in the morning and in the evening at the buffet eat. In addition there is always à la minute stations. It give no firm seats or tischzeiten. In this restaurant, gentlemen in the evening also in short pants food. In addition there is in the evening 3 specialty restaurants (the asian was the service and food quality not so convincing. The italian restaurant was in our opinion much better, then there was a steak restaurant). But the hotel was lacking in all restaurants at kinderhochstühlen. The few are quickly. Actually in all areas really good. Sometimes a bit slow in the main restaurant, if rush hour is. At the front desk it is very fast and professionally. One employee even spoke german. All employees are very friendly and hard and was extremely friendly. Was available and always present, but very american/canadian-annoying. There were shows in the evening. Private beach section with a lot of trees and many couches. You will find at any time free chairs or shade, beach does not exist and is not desirable or necessary. The sea is mostly quiet and there is very soft purely. A beach section is for swimmers locked, since a fischreservat is, wa great larger and smaller ocean creatures could see. After 2008 we decided this year again for Riu Negril in Jamaica. After we had consistently good reviews for this hotel able to give, we had to this time sorry to say, that in almost all points strongly worsened. The singing bartender Paul in the 'welcome-bar' remains the exception! However also this evening repertoire not always to, because the close to held entertainment show deafeningly noisy. The rooms were superficially clean (mirrors were not cleaned, hair from the previous guests were still in the tub and white socks were on the tiled floors very quickly dirty). The Riu Negril unfortunately ... to a Ballermann level for americans and canadians developed. I am definitely not for a dress code, but in wet bath stronghold with neck hanging towels for dinner to appear, beggars tolerance. A completely set table was rather a rarity, something was always missing and you had to do the fork or spoon organize itself. We were so far in six Riu hotels, we also know, that in the 2. week the food repeated which ok one is. Here repeated it daily with very few exceptions. Food poor. We missed the usual decorations such as carved melons or something like that which one expected from a 4 star hotel before. Only in the evening before issuing the usual bewertungsformulare these decorations and small highlights such as mussels and sushi. Obviously also the staff preceding that assessment vaccinated, because then they were suddenly friendly and attentive. In the remaining i noticed, that the drink's without tip watery and with little alcohol got. Average age mixed. German guests were very few available. Grman except at the front desk, equal 0.     Long journey from the airport in montego bay. Purchase possibilities only with priced taxi. The timesquare 20 Dollar (circa 5 kilometer). A packet of cigarettes in the hotel (11 Dollar). Trip recommended ' blackrivertour' however very expensive over TUI circa 125 Dollar per person.

We are here moved from the RIU Montego Bay, because the beach not so was as we had imagined it. Also here we had all inclusive. Thus only the staff were very friendly there are really no faults. To the pool the is an absolute insolence the water there is totally milky you can not see the ground, that must introduce oneself one times with 5 stars, we were once in the water, I then at the pool bar drinks in/out privileges for us and it was only times, the bar so disgusting totally dirty ants in the schankbereich rum ... and a lot was totally broken. Than to the beach the better should be than in the RIU Montego Bay, so here I could until about the belly into the sea then were noisier 15 to 20 centimeter high plants in the caribbean sea ( lawn, seaweeds, etc.) disgusting I will not therefore run. The floor at the beach is not as I know nice and soft in the divided partly so hard and rocky crazy me in volleyball play several bubbles in/out privileges, in addition the everywhere ants are, there was also a beach bar the same as pool bar totally filthy, almost worse. To the hotel this should altogether a little updating, partly very worn, almost all toilets where my wife was, were broken (clogged, conditioner didn't work, etc.) All excursions were expensive I think and general it is here very expensive been, for example cost the souvenir shop a mosquito spray 20 Dollar a cheek ( which I also used, because here brutally many mosquitoes are the disease, we were told to buy) read hotel review

The hotel is sharpened it leaves no wish unfulfilled Beach is well maintained, in the water is after approximately 100 meters Mud, water flat as a lake, no waves( Bay ) Guests too many from the USA, Canada, English Eastern Europe, Italy and few from D. Nobody spoke German. Attention Smokers :' A box of TENs. In the hotel shop 11$, at the beach the hawkers 8 US Dollar. A Guilty pleasure. Before 4 years ago we were already once here 2 friends. This time we are now really shocked. The level in this hotel is strongly decreased. Meanwhile you with swimming shorts and undershirt for dinner go. The are also many americans. The hotel is terrible noisy. During the day one is bothered by screaming entertainers. There is no break. Even beach volleyball over loud speakers downloaded, so that you the score 300 meters further must be heard, whether you want to or not. With the much-vaunted reggä feeling was also a thing. In this hotel has probably absolute reggä ban. ... Luckily i had my mp3-player there. The hotel is by every weekend from bawling americans attack, those there their Ballermann vacation spend. Friday until sunday flees you then the best. In this period is the pool bar then fallen from trunkenbolden crowded, the unrestrained scourge and hours in the water at the pool bar are. You can only guess, where their droppings inside bothered. I in any case do not think it is from, 6 hours to drink without the toilet to go.     The staff are very friendly, however the cleaning ladies. If you sleep in want, you don't have a chance. Point 7 hours meeting itself the cleaning ladies, make loud screams and distribute themselves then after a quarter of an hour on the floors. They want certainly, that every guest wake up and the room left.

the hotel lies at the Northern the end of the bloody Bay of Negril. from the airport in Montega Bay drive took about an hour. The check in was simple and in my opinion also good. The suitcases were of a friendly case-boy delivered directly to your room. The hotel is with approximately 400 rooms relatively large. At the beginning of the hotel was not full, which changed then however ... in the course of the week. Mainly americans could see you. Partly we heard German, Italian and French. The food was always very tasty. Very recommendable was in my opinion the 'Jamaica-corner' in which new delicious was. The restaurant was constant a plaster column worked the leftovers were dropped to collect.

    the staff were always super mood. Constant whistle a song or anyone hummed around. At the bar you were served quickly and the barkeeper waited not on the dollar. There was a little quick if you have a dollar in hand, but dies of thirst you are never. The housekeeping staff does the job very well done. The dealings of Jamaica is English and it is conducive to speak English, because hardly anyone German understands.     The beach was very nice. But it was a natural beach so a few rocks and shell parts. In the water there was something to see, so, snorkel take-away. You need as mentioned above no beach shoes as the stones are quite bearable. The water was always very pleasant and clean. At the beach you can rent skis with locals and deep sea fishing, but according to hotel is illegal. We didn't use the pool sometimes it was just a few a little chlorine smell recognisable but probably at the pool bar sun loungers can be. the entertainment in the evening we of the more often considered. What also worth seeing was. The entertainment on the days I can't say, because we didn't participate.

    To the town center of Negril is 10 miles as well on foot and especially at night definitely not to be recommended. With the taxi (which you should rent in front of the hotel) is you clearly more comfortable and faster on the way. To the airport there were about 85 kilometer what a bus ride of approximately one hour means. The beach is appropriate for one directly to feet. But it's not a white sandy beach, but a natural beach. What we especially liked it, as the entire beach with sun screens was plastered. You could prima in the shade of the trees the whole day spend. At the beach you don't need beach shoes, unless you have sensitive Feet ☺ since sometimes a stones or shell part around. we booked our trips through the TUI. Whether it other Suppliers are unfortunately, I can't answer. with the taxi you can also visit the Kool margaretville water park. if you wanted to shop something you should also with the taxi the way it was a bit far, especially if it gets warm.

    My room was beautiful, have but also view of the sea booked. Have but also other belongs. TUI-travel guide had a day 4 room changing (!). furniture, bathroom, air conditioning, safe reasonable, mini bar every other day filled. Coffee machine does not exist. it is clean and the age of the OK.

    There was the main buffet and three restaurants on register. the food is good in my opinion 3-4 on a scale of 1-6. the diversity of the buffets could be better. it is clean. the kitchen style was very American and Jamaican influences. atmosphere is OK, tips were expected.

    Mostly the staff friendly (!). The main language was English. German no-one speaks.

    access to the internet in the entrance hall. Internet cafe: $9.00 for half an hour. leisure time offers were hardly there. There are snorkeland diving excursions (for a fee). by the pool during the day animation and music. evenings around 9:30 P. M. the so-called 'show'. Usually the nursery-contact games. the entertainment on the part of the hotel is very bad. the water is wonderful. the beach is very bad. Hardly any sand, it's very much limestone and therefore many lime stone crumbs, also very large. You have to be careful, where you! there is hardly any shade available. Very little palm trees or trees, no other protection from the sun. beach chairs are not enough available, sun screens there are no. from 8:00 A. M. is it in the morning difficult to get a beach chair. They are all occupied and not of German, from us, there are only a few.

    Large area, very clean, furnishing was okay. About 80% of Americans to visit and Canadians. Family hotel. all inclusive as far as passable. Staff mostly friendly. but very bad beach: hardly any sand, but much limestone and such Gebrösel -called: rocky beach! Hardly shade!

Taxi costs for Rick's cafe 1 person $20.00 back and forth. $30.00 for 3 people. opportunities for excursions the offer tour operators.
