We were now for the 7 time in Sri Lanka and have never been so disappointed. The 4 stars are totally exaggerated. The hotel is newly renovated, but except the beautiful bathroom with generous shower there is nothing positive things to say about it. The drive from the airport takes 2,5 hours, if you're not in rush hour arrives. It is only through Colombo already times 3 hours. The new highway of Colombo after galle, is for kalutara so no zeiteinsparung. Despite booked superior room with sea view, wanted one us a lagoon room fob. Beware! The Avani is the only hotel in kalutara. Is very remote right at the beach on the one side and at the 3. largest river of sri lanka on the other side. This river water is very dirty, what the sea reflects that. It is so unclear, that you put your feet cannot see.
