Hotel Carlton^{(3 stars)}

As described above rooms were small but sufficient, you spend anyway much time there. Bathroom okay and always clean, air conditioning worked well, balcony available and large, because there were four of us. Safe available! Tv also available Condition of the room was fully ok

Common dining room, great food, very clean, food typical of the country but also German, price a drink are generally high

Great and extremely friendly staff from cleaners to manager All spoke actually good German except serving staff, however that doesn't matter, because one comes also with English or with 'hands or feet' further! Room always clean At your requirements always tried! We never had complaints

Pool small but sufficient, afternoon anyway all at the beach Beach clean, sea water so, 2 loungers and a umbrella are also with the room for everyone! Everything also worked Annoying one is only, that one for showers and toilet-use always 20 cents to pay must!

Room small, but very clean and comfortable we had full board and the food was great! You had always pasta, but belonged to it! Besides that very varied!

To the beach one goes about 10 minutes! Entertainment in the evening you have right nearby! Excursion destinations also enough nearby

Room is clean, tv ( led tv middle size) has very many Italian channels and only about 4 German channels: ARD, ZDF, RTL II and 1 or 2 other unknown channels, also German. My bed was in need of repair-at the end you had the rawlplugs already there seen so that could have been glued to. Furthermore, I have noticed, that the 2 lamps above the mirror did not work. The biggest plus is the air conditioning, because the worked very well and cooled really well to even 18 or 19 degrees celsius. What disturbed me the most, is the mold at the bathroom cover over the shower.

The breakfast in the hotel Carlton includes a buffet: rolls, honey, a art nutella, about 5 kinds of jam, muesli, cereal, milk, cakes, good croissants and other shortbread, a sort of cheese ( emmentaler), a sort of ham, a sort of sausage, coffee/choco you can borrow from the machines self service. There is also a vending machine with 2 juice varieties: tropical or orange juice-however it is only a sugar-sweet diluted sirupsaft, this is the big shortcoming of the breakfast buffet. The dinner in the hotel Carlton looks like the following: good salad buffet, and a 2. Buffet with mainly vegetables as aubergine or zucchini with parmesan topped; fish salad, sometimes mussels, meat from time to time, peppers, gemüserisotto, etc. Generally the buffet good, however very vegetables annoying and it was not refilled, so at: o'clock one must be fast, if you wanted to get. The dinner itself consists of a appetizer, the 5 dishes can choose: almost always pasta with either meat, tomato sauce, or mushrooms or scampi for example The portions are rather small. And once there was pasta with scampi and mushrooms and the were only a couple pasta with 2 pilzscheiben and 2 small scamp, so rather ridiculous. As main course you can also from 4 or 5 menu: it is also always fish, meat or vegetarian for everyone. In my opinion really rather small portions. Dessert one can 3 different select: once there was tiramisu, mousse au chocolate, white chocolate must, a piece of cream cake, a piece of watermelon, sorbet, etc... All together tasted the dinner really good, however very vegetables annoying-I was no wine for dinner drink, as I immediately drunk would, as vegetables or fish for me as trinkunterlage not much benefit. Drinks of the dinner are paying extra: I always a bottle of mineral water for 3 Euro drunk. Orange juice costs I think 5 Euro per bottle. I had half board, therefore I cannot over the lunch nothing say, however I choices seen, and it looks exactly the same as the dinner.

So the receptionist is very friendly and very nice, and could also speak German. My waitress was however catastrophic, as totally unfriendly. It has only the plates put down and ex without a word to say. No 'it tasted' in any language. The cleaning of the rooms was fine.

Beach is nice, sea is clean, although the water not clear is, but maybe it was just me, as I end of August in the hotel Carlton was. The pool in the hotel Carlton has controlled opening hours and is 1.40 meters deep. I didn't use it. Wi-fi I in the hotel used - worked out very well, you got the password at the front desk.

The hotel is generally okay, the rooms are generally clean, however was in the bathroom on the ceiling on the shower mold, and not much. The air conditioning works very well, the breakfast buffet is ok ( however monotonous-always the same sausage, the same cheese, the same ham). Hotel guests almost all from Germany, Austria and Italy. The biggest deficit of the hotel is in my opinion the missing friendliness the waitress. There are several waiter, but my waitress was a disaster, because they fully was unfriendly, and even on the 1st day the same snarled has, only, because I asked for it, whether I ask pepper may have (was missing for me at the table).

The hotel lies in lignano pineta, approximately 700 meters from the beach (8 minutes' walk approximately). A food business is right around the corner, after sabbiadoro it was approximately 6 kilometers, it drives a bus also evenings ( costs per person and distance 2 Euro). In lignano pineta is in the summer a lot going on, in sabbiadoro, but still much more. There is a zoo nearby, a golf course, a kinderspielpark ('junior park'), a aqua park and a LUNA-park. The beach is beautiful and clean and per rooms are a sun screen plus 2 loungers included in the hotel Carlton would otherwise between and Euro costs, depending on sun screen-row. Toilet at the beach costs 20 cents, shower extra 50 cents. However you can also the free toilet use if you only 'small' must. Bikes you can in the hotel borrow: 1st hour free, from 2. hour costs 1 Euro hourly. The wheels have no backlight and a weak vorderlicht and are somewhat wobbly -not in my opinion completely harmless. A pharmacy is approximately 5 minutes out from the hotel. In lignano there are a lot of restaurants, pizzerias and Italian ice cream palours.
