My wife an i are now here for the 4. time. We like this large area in the especially also it is reasonable value for money, although you can tell this to many corners the sparhammer is set, especially in the area of staff restoration. It is the staff to be said that the limit is. This lead to the the good food offer by the moderate service unfortunately lose. Nevertheless, the r2 still recommendable. read more

The hotel was good, the food excellent. But the dining room was sometimes overcrowded, the staff there overtaxed. Linen change and room cleaning found often only in the afternoon instead, which we found inconvenient found. The towels we got not in full number, so that we at the end less available had as at the start. The staff at reception were very friendly and were willing to help. read more

I do not understand, why one about this hotel can complain. Although there is no direct access to the beach, but the lagoon is great laid out. The the loungers surcharge is when booking. The but had the advantage, that it was never too crowded. The whole outdoor area is wonderful. Service, food and rooms are great. You have to when booking only 8., that one no room without a balcony select. This would certainly not be as nice. It is also an advantage to rent a car. Whoever is looking for rest and relaxation this is good. Price/performance ratio ... is ok. read more

We have already been in january 2011 in the Rio Calma and very satisfied. This year we were curious, as our stay lost dignity, since we had some bad (partially even extremely bad ) reviews had read. To be honest, we were very satisfied and the we than otherwise quite critical guests feast. Welcome on arrival very friendly and skilled, immediately a refreshing drink before us. The check in was good 5 minutes. Because we initially a room with morning sun (but missing afternoon sun) had, we asked for a transfer, the following 2 days was also possible. To our ... surprise after the move a bottle of sparkling wine in our room. The garden is a delight, very well maintained, wonderful planted. We were both with the very rich breakfast, as well as with the rich dinner very satisfied. The selection was huge, everything freshly prepared. Also some guests complained coffee was all right, it was additionally the possibility on a wmf -machine coffee to read, the standard more expensive coffee machines in Germany was. The beverages arrived in the morning and evenings very low waiting time. If the black 'plastic bowls' for the dessert not much, can on plates (with us always clean were) to evade. By the way, the assessment the half board-price of circa 40,00 Euro (for night, breakfast and dinner) the rich offer opposite and there can be said 'value for money' very good. By the way the beach towels were of good quality and the shape of the output (against deposit) very understandable. The 'reservation ban' the loungers was from the guests adhered to and respected. The room was cleaned well, the beds often changed, tv-device satisfactory, bathroom was clean, but could be renovated once. The spa area, and i agree with the critical agree, is not on the newest conditions and there should the hotel management really something. But with us for a long time walks on the beach in the foreground were, us that not so much disturbed. Pleasant we found (the 70) the evening piano -entertainment. The hotel is a bit outdated. The furniture in the room certainly not definitely the current taste. The tv is an old black and white tv with the front desk... The food is plentiful and the offer varied, but tasted not always worth 4 stars. For example the fruit juices of the breakfast buffet with water stretched, froth so huge and almost tasteless... We were already the 3. time in this hotel and find there still very good. It has a wonderful area, the very tidy and clean is, and you will find, even though it's relatively large, always somewhere an unimpaired spot. The food has unfortunately somewhat neglected opposite our previous stays. But there is a great variety, so that there is something for everyone. We will definitely come back again! read more

This hotel is a lot unfortunately not and it is saved in every corner. One believes, since the complex good situation, in a really earned star hotel to be. But far from it. The stars are unfortunately not justified. The service is bad, we had to wait long for service with the drinks, whether it at the breakfast is or evenings at the bar or showsalon. The cooked eggs for breakfast and remained after our complaint cold. Arrangement from the director, so much spanish understood we had. The toilets in the areas of the dining room were dirty, the doors ... were dirty and the washbasin partly broken. The taps were economized set. Also arrangement volt director? Is almost to assume. The spa and wellness company plays hotel guest with 10 Euro per persons and day from. Simply unbelievably and that in a star hotel? Apart from this, that you are not from a clean gepflefgen spa area can discuss. The 'best' was the thing with the pool towels. Great complex with large pools, a beautiful view, colonial, from the outside just great, clean and tidy. The room was unfortunately small, without a balcony, consumed dark furniture, narrow passageway, where the closet is. That the safe paying extra is, we didn't reasonable, the hotel should be the biggest interest in, that nothing was stolen. The beverage prices were completely disproportionate, for a small beer for example over 3 Euro. The service was very different, always the respective human subject. A completely ignorant, not even a greeting or a smile, wärenlassen to serve, onwohl jkar recognizable, that you want to ... order, indifferent to very friendly people. For towels you have to 10 Euro deposit put down-bureaucratic with notes and back and forth- if you want to change, one must zwangsspenden for turtles and the cleaning, we found it also not well, the should be in a hotel of course included in the price his. Woe, if when you return on the final day no small note at the front desk turf-, although we return by the pool the empfangszettel got, which was at the front desk and it came to the debate, that the 20 Euro kautionrückgabe could deprive, since we were a little upset. What we did not know: almost all rooms have a balcony - only few rooms are without a balcony, but with ' real ' view of the sea to have. Towels are, unlike of other reviewers described in good condition and sufficient against deposit to get. The outdoor facilities are in a beautiful and very well maintained condition; near the tennis courts and the mini golf course is beginning to show wear phenomena. The entertainers/-gullies were very cheerful and hard with Tennis, table tennis, Midget Golf, archery, kleinkaliber, cooking class, spanish lessons and a.'customers' to win. read more

We have again a great vacation (3. time) in the Rio Calma spent. It was actually almost everything as at our last stay. Great hotel, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Unfortunately we however this time some points of criticism, which there would be: No heated outside pool (felt like 10 degrees) Many chairs were broken Air conditioning except function Bathroom need to be renovated No toiletries Breakfast buffet this time i was very monotonous We will stay there again and hope that this details then fixed are. read more

A great hotel! Without question! Here it is very undisturbed, if you want. I loved it again and again the great oktik of the hotel! However is the executive director in theft, if you don't save use it, not just very helpful. It is not even called the police. read more

This was our 3. time in the last two years in the Rio Calma and we generally also again well. Atmosphere and the staff's hospitality are here to point out. Less enjoyable was the cleanliness in the bathroom (round corners with brown schmutzstreifen), the completely outdated ( röhrenempfänger?!?) Tv with lousy tone and the reserve the pool couches are available by the other guests. The reserved loungers remained sometimes until midday unused-here should the hotel management the existing prohibition of to achieve. read more

An architecturally impressive moorish-style hotel with extensive grounds, the horticultural very well decorated. The designed lagoon with waterfall. Often in the hotel held groups/events, however, tumoil and noise, the for the hotel guests annoying! There is the impression, that the hotel management additional profits is located. Whom rest and relaxation it is important, the is a stay disadvice. read more

Am the 4. time in a row in Rio Calma been, always around christmas. I in the years some hotels between Costa Calma and Jandia looked at. For me is Rio Calma with its garden area the nicest. That the hotel somewhat remote is located didn't disturb me not, as i every day anyway on average to the 15 kilometer on the stunning beach traveled, sometimes through until Morro Jable. Circa 23 kilometer. and the ' spiked helmet ' of the hotel you can see from almost every corner of the long beach. I stayed in the four years still ... never a negative observation made, the price is very human. Can the partly negative reviews some visitors don't understand. Sure, who reluctantly on foot and its vacation in all inclusive hotels in the radius of 100 metres and beach, pool bar and shoppingmeile is used, is here surely wrong. And if someone says, the buffet is everyday the same, it is only partially. Because every day there was everything. And therefore in any case individually adjustable. I am, regularly professionally and personally at all conceivable hotel-categories and therefore think right representative my statement to be. And i see here everything combines, which i on vacation need. 4 hours flight time, to in december sunny weather to enjoy, a mega beach, where you partly hardly met anyone and some repeat offender like me, in the next december stay here find. I'm already look forward to it. read more

We were for the 2. time in the hotel. The hotel has by its design a completely special flair. Especially the great garden/pool area is exceptionally beautiful. No crowds by the pool, anytime is a place to find. The hotel is unfortunately somewhat remote on a steep slope and one must to the beach is a bit far. Nice and relaxing vacation with pleasant guests and pleasant staff. read more

We found the stay in the Rio Calma after an upgrade from the double room to a suite then nevertheless still than pleasant. We had a double room with balcony and sea view booked extra. Unfortunately the booked room only with a very small double bed. In our opinion it was a single bed, there was only one pillow... Our complaint was not akzpetiert. Higher 370€ . The garden is very nice. The staff are very friendly and hard-working. Drink prices - for example beer realativ high. The dishes were good, and plentiful. read more
