I had seen a number of reviews about this hotel, and wondered what i had booked ! There are a lot of choices in the restaurant, from freshly made pizza, freshly made pasta dishes, cooked in front of you,( while you wait for them to be made) to fresh salads, deserts. and numerous meat and vegi options. the fresh bread and croissants in the morning are baked in front of you yum. The staff are considerate and friendly and remember your likes at the bars. i would anyone to check out the spa centre even to have a look ... around, better than some spa centres in the UK, but much cheaper. Def a return visit read more

We are not picky as other guests ( naggers) you must still the value for money keep in mind we are not in Europa then you have to stop 150 to 200 Euro more on the table for its perfect holiday to make ( naggers), so we were satisfied, all very friendly, whether with or without tip oh stop we were at the end only maybe 30 to 40 persons, because the hotel for a while, but it was simply excellent:-) read more

It is a beautiful large, clean, hotel. Especially the pool area is nice and water slides. Our daughter and I had have fun. The food was very varied, the best was always roast lamb.
I cannot confirm that the chefs behind the counter a dirty smock at had. They were clean.
At the beach you could lunch, fallschirmseegeln and matratzenschlauchboot drive. The beach is other side broad. The hotel is very well-kept. read more

Good hotel for fun. Nice animation, personal. Very big main restaurant. We also like restaurant on the beach.
On the beach we always have free place to lie. The beach was generally clean, but water in the sea sometimes was a little dirty, also there was jellyfish.

Big hotel, in October luckily only 1/3 filled, therefore no problems with chairs at the beach and at the pool, and no long waiting periods with the food. Bungalows beautiful as the main building, clean. Great pool with slides. At the slides also had the adults. Fun. Beach: clean, clear water, but very narrow, the sand washed away is. Other hotels next door had dirty algenstrand. Beach restaurant: ok. Main restaurant: as mentioned to 1/3 occupied, as you had sufficient space, when it is fully booked, I would like to not experience, food: one was full, dessert very good, salad ... buffet must be improved, little choice for a four-star hotel. Animation: Bruno the swarm of small girls, dance performance was perfect, but the restshow: could be improved. Gigi( mini disco) was very popular for the kids. Excursions: by taxi cheap and fast to Port el Kantaoui. Palm center shopping center next to the hotel, nothing else around. Waiter: friendly. Beautiful garden with direct access to the beach. If the food more selection would have shown, the 4 stars for tunisian standard justified been, so not quite. read more

Now were to the third time since! And I can only say everything excellent as always! So I can only recommend this hotel! Good food, dreamlike beach, and as I have heard from next year a monster aqua park!

Unfortunately fell the vacation not as relaxing as we thought. The hygiene and cleanliness was a disaster. Glasses were badly or not at all washed. A guest its glass from... The barkeeper took and filled it immediately with the one from I ordered beer \u263a also the housekeeping staff, the room cleaning not invented and on the coerced limited. The chefs stood with completely polluted jackets behind the buffet. Yuck. We despite all made the best of it. However this hotel and perhaps even Tunisia see me not again. read more

We were with 5 people a week in the hotel and eventually discovered we have never again want to. As a family of middle 20 (3) and early 50 (2), we had to find out, that the hotel in very bad condition was. The rooms were dirty, Bedlacken were dirty and were never changed, the same with the towels. The staff such a thing from arrogant and demotivated, so what we have never hotel experienced. Behind the bar were often 2a 3 people the simply talking while people the orders waited. The drinks were not ideal, Cola was often without ... carbonic acid, glasses dirty, just as with tap water flushed. The food was nothing special, there was always something you could eat, but nothing special or what especially was delicious (except donuts in the morning), you ate mostly always the same. The reservations for the beach bar and the à la carte restaurant were not as requested. A small ray of hope, there was however, as the complaints itself heaped and more and more to the manager went, he showed more presence on the hotel and tried hard, but couldn't real improvement notice. To the hotel area we could unfortunately little say, as we the hotel have not left. The only good thing was the weather, since we, as sunny holiday by the pool/ beach from the start had planned and only there, it was our only joy in vacation, since we color got. As Fasziet of the vacation can say: weather top, hotel Flop. One has learnt and we can any advise you not to go there, also other guests with there contact had said, luckily only a week in the hotel. read more

Much to large, very unclear hotel with? Who knows how many? Rooms, spread over main& side building, as well as numerous bungalows.
Cleanliness poor-like already in some of the reviews very aptly described: hand/bath towels allegedly in washed condition stained, room& balcony after the' cleaning' partly still dirty, beds barely made & even with tips actually in ' typical tunesian appropriate amount ' (after official recommendation the tour operator!) did not much change, perhaps the cleaning staff with the number of 'to reinigeneden ' room overburdened, the size the hotel.
Airco in the room worked perfectly.
Tv-front desk (via satellite) ... only weather from & to bother us, otherwise ok.
Late at night still very loud show of the entertainers on a stage in the hotel complex, the right nor the neighboring 'orient palace' -hotel undesirable way mitbeschallte.
Too many loud, inconsiderate, during the day & at night much alcohol zugetane guests from Poland & Russia - just terrible! read more

The hotel is older construction and has approximately 1300 beds, the hotel buildings and bungalows are divided into. We were (our group consisted of 15 people) in a hotel wing building. The had relatively well, since 2 people 1 week before in the hotel and took care.
The staff on site, i would have these after our stay not risk!
The cleanliness in the hotel leaves much to be desired: dirty tablecloths, staff dirty clothes and neglected.
The food is always similar, without seasoning-no taste. 5 people from our group had sworn problems with the material.

Great friendly and linguistically gifted staff.
Entertainment was varied and plenty of choice!
Directly at the beach were some offers (jet ski, parasailing, etc.)
With the taxi it is cheap (1.50 - 3,00 Euro) to the large port or into town and the market!
If you have normal expectations and friendliness in the hotel villa Assunta, there is a great time spend and have no regrets. read more

On the internet everything looks mostly nice and great from! If you then arrives, it is sobering and rather disappointing! The furniture in all areas are old, broken and ausgelutscht! Towels and bed sheets will sometime in the day, but the fresh are old and full of stains! ( washed but stained ) the cleanliness the staff displays and implements, are low level! read more

The hotel is completely okay, but no German 4 stars comparable. Drawbacks you should for the food and selection alcoholic beverages make. In things cleanliness give oneself all trouble. At the beach you have free loungers with cushions, the however relatively quickly are. You could also free of charge for example pedal boats, if you the responsible person indicates. ;-) read more

The hotel area is large and spacious, with a beautiful garden area, unfortunately with the years very run down, it is urgently after a renovation. There is a main building uS several small bungalows, as well as 3 pools. The main pool is quite dirty, the floor was from earth and other remains besieged. Within our stay was the pool not once cleaned. The loungers are broken and worn out, nothing for people with back problems. The' sun screens' as it was called, consist of 3 colorful, round circle, comparable with a kinderschirm. For shade donate unfortunately not suitable, but ... nice to look at. Towels give it against deposit for 30 Dinar (15 €per towel) at the front desk. There is a bar, in which you enough with drinks provided, unless you want a bottle of water, but you need a little patience and much loquacity! Drunk from plastic or paper cups. Against an extra charge at the waiter get your drinks in a glass of personally to the couch serves. An insolence! read more

The hotel is directly at the gently sloping sandy beach, unfortunately is the swimming area so limited, that you don't really longer Routes can swim. There are 2 pools, the main pool, at the whole day something going on, and a smaller relax pool close to the beach. The flying carpet-Traders are not pushy and in case but a security man and send him further.
The food was very diverse, it was both international, as well as tunisian dishes. For every meal time was also right in the restaurant cooked (noodles), grilled ( fish and meat) and baked ( pizza). ... In addition you could per stay once each of the three specialty restaurant reserve ( international, Tunisian and fish).
The complex for tourists very clean held, which one for the direct environment however can not say.
All in all we were very satisfied and for the price you can't better expect! read more

How can you a hotel in this gorgeous area with this beautiful garden, tastefully created bungalows (all ground level, absolutely peaceful), the largest pool, I have ever in a hotel experienced and a relax -pool ( quite without animation and only for relaxation) so badly run?
Positive: great, spacious complex with everywhere distributed bars and restaurants, beautiful rooms with a terrace ( why only 1 chair for 3 people?), nice animation ( really all multi-lingual: arabic, French, German, Polish, Dutch, English), some absolutely courteous waiter, actually good local cuisine, great Starters and desserts, good fish, great tunisian restaurant, you can ... for reservation directly at the beach food (chef grill are not)
Negative: meat not enjoyable ( Wisecrack, fat, cartilage), dirty dining room (floor!), despite ultra all inclusive Debates with the waiter on further bottle of water(!) for 6 people, service often absolutely unhelpful (difficulties, a 2.Cola to order, yourself went however also not), no juice ( only cheapest-nectar ), cocktails with absolute poor quality ingredients, chaotic organization (for 500 people per food layer a container with fries) -> Queue, room not really clean ( mirror, tiles probably never cleaned, floors, toilets, bath tub but already), with a storm was a part of the room fully water, really dangerous debris at the beach ( with rusty nails in the sand!), broken chairs on the beach ( in the middle broken), broken chairs in the dining room (chair legs!), dirty tables at the pools, dirty cushions pool- and beach chairs, dirty tables in the bars, often even cutlery and glasses not very clean, bescheuerte air conditioning managed only, the room on 29° to cool, unfortunately no Insektenschutzvorrichtungen to windows or doors, otherwise one evenings just window setting read more

A truly very nice extensive hotel with many green areas and annexed beach section. However already on the 2 views follows the disillusionment! The furniture the hotel, as well as in the rooms and bungalows I would to something to downplay as' ageing designate' furthermore partly also dirty. The range was on part ripped and dirty cushions for the outdoor furniture on the complex, over broken sun lounger to partly little cleaned rooms, as well as bed sheets with burnt holes and stains, dirty lampshades etc. The bathroom before new tourist ever really and not only very superficially cleaned I ... dare to doubt. read more

In September 2012 we were with our 15 months old daughter and it was just amazing nice! Great pool area, the cleaned daily was! Staff very friendly! Buffet was also good and a lot of choice, there was something for every taste. Rooms were cleaned each day and also the towels were changed daily. The only thing which us still great would have been, a very small Paddling pool for children under 2 years. Apart from that we can only recommend this hotel! Great holiday and a really great staff! read more
