Although it is very small (safe under 16 square meter) but very nice and convenient equipped room. Everything you need is available ( kettle, enough hangers, etc.. ). Very good bed
However lied the room directly above the laundry room, where until 24:00 and 07:00 really very, very noisy audible worked. If you happen to midnight a bit peace and sleep somewhat longer can, you should the room 103 and surrounding area not accept!
I would the hotel choose to stay there again, but only if requirement, that my room was on a other side is. read more

The hotel Interlaken is only a few minutes walk away from train station Interlaken OST and is a perfect Base for excursions in the Jungfrau region with the entering the historical house surprised tasteful and modern decor. My room (404) was very beautiful and modern furnished and equipped amongst others free internet (over cable), a good workbench, comfortable bed, a shower with great water pressure and additional seating possibility. For breakfast, there is warm and cold food in very good quality. Since everything, also coffee etc. To self-service ready, is the personal service rather reserved. Except a 'good morning, what ... is your room number' was no contact with the staff about. But the breakfast room is very bright, with natural light and overlooking a small park, and you feel very at ease.
The hotel can really be recommended, because of its central location and the beautiful rooms. read more

Traditional hotel with rooms in the various categories. From the Junior suite up to reasonable rooms with shared bathroom everything available. Rooms were sometimes April 2011 renovated. Beautiful old (but modern renovated) Hotel in Interlaken. On our trip through Switzerland we have spontaneously in Interlaken and the choice of hotel not regret it. The room (Junior suite) was beautifully the combination of tradition and modernity (wood and stone walls), comfy sofa and chairs, flat-screen tv and a large and modern bath make the charm. I have seldom slept in such a comfortable bed, an absolute dream to sleep! Choice of breakfast was good. Good bread and good coffee. Selection of the meals not infinitely varied but rather only a few sausage and cheese but quality, as the ... case in this hotel. One evening in the restaurant. Big compliment to the kitchen. The food was really excellent. Although not quite cheap but adequate and (the expensive Switzerland) adapted. The service staff was very friendly and tried hard.
All in all: highly recommended! read more

We are very impressed with the hotel. The hotel staff is friendly. There is a candy stand in the lobby for hotel guests and the candies are so addictive. The breakfast is great. We will go back to this hotel if we ever travel back to this area. Highly recommended! read more

The hotel was well located, near the train station and walking distance to the town.
My single room was spacious, but the furnishings and decoration looked very outdated,a little dark and depressing, the wallpaper was not very cheerful. The TV was very old-fashioned and badly placed between the cupboard and the luggage deposit. There was no airconditioning, so I had to keep the windows open because of the heat, but had great difficulties sleeping due to the noise in the street, until very late at night. The mattress was not very comfortable, and there was only one pillow. Otherwise ..., it was clean, including the bathroom that had the basic complimentary items like soap, shower cap, etc.
The food in the restaurant was good. The breakfast buffet was good, too. The waiters and waitresses seemed to be in too much of a hurry to smile, or be friendly. They seemed to have too much work or not to be very experienced, I'm not sure what the problem was, so it was not very relaxing to watch them rushing around. They were also not very effective at clearing tables in a timely fashion during the breakfast hours. Many customers were at a loss of where to sit, while waiting for someone to clear a table. Perhaps the restaurant staff could benefit from someone coordinating or supervising them as they work. Their uniforms are not very smart either - more appropriate for a brasserie than a high end hotel.
It was a bit of a nuisance to have to share the elevator with the housekeeping staff in the mornings. There doesn't seem to be a service elevator, so one had to often wait, or squeeze into the elevator with the housekeeping carts.
The hotel doesn't offer any recreational facilities, or I didn't notice any. I'm not sure whether they offered room service, but I didn't have to ask. The staff at the reception desk were nice, not very forthcoming with information. I think they could ask the guests what they plan on doing in Interlaken and give some advice. I did receive the visitors card with a brief explanation on the benefits of the card.
I'm not sure how come the hotel is rated as a four star hotel, which is a relatively high rating. I get the impression it's more a 3 star hotel. read more
