Beautiful Traditional hotel in the heart of Chicago

For my short stay in Chicago was the intercontinental perfect. The room was huge, tastefully decorated, bed and bedding extremely pleasant, and the bathroom not really ideal, but still one of the better, the I hotel up to now had. The frontdesk employees are not all right friendly, but the rest of the staff are extremely helpful and nice. The price was oK-I had to book at short notice, and the interconti relatively cheap-, but the prices for Zusatzleistungen are outrageous ($18 for one day Wi-Fi). The location at the Michigan Avenue is great, with several important bus stops on ... the doorstep, and so central, that you from the John Hancock center in the north to the art Institute in the South a lot even on foot easily accessible. I could absolutely imagine spending, to stay here again. read more

Unfortunately this hotel in Chicago the name intercontinental does not really deserve. The standard rooms are small and dark, the bathroom in need of renovation. Internet costs, for the United States actually untypical, extra 19 dollars per day. The hotel own restaurant offers quality, is however definitely overpriced. The indoor pool last minute due to defects closed. What however it is very positive, is the really central location. It is reasonable value for money not really. read more

the hotel is wonderful location directly at the Michigan avenue in downtown Chicago. from here, it is easy to do business in the Loop or shop. everything was very edl and classic furnished. A eye catcher is the old swimming pool. highly recommended though not so cheap. read more

I love the location very much, close to all the shopping mall and good restaurant. the Hotel seems not very new but very clean and quiet. It was christmas season during my stay in that hotel. There's steak house owned by Michael Jordan. I love the steak, it's expensive but really good. read more

The wonderful equipped the hotel is perfect for business travellers. Good connections and within a few steps in the loop (downtown). Also the shopping streets are not far. The rooms are tastefully equipped and, above all, very clean. It is a delicious if not reasonable room service. I would highly recommend this hotel. read more

Very fine hotel in the middle of Chicago. Our double room was at our surprise quite generous. Decor was very furnished to a high standard-the mattress the King bed was but unfortunately way too soft, but of course no downside for the hotel to be-as the tastes and needs of different. Breakfast was OK, a bit more selection would have but in the face of the name 'intercontinental' not hurt. read more
